  2. hi ! it's been a some time now that the vr mode existing in dcs but the glove and the scene of the home menu of the game don't change since it. diffèrent type and color of glove sélectionnable by user, and diffèrent scenes of the home menu of the game when we are in vr mode it will be great for more personalization ;)

  6. Yep, that's pretty accurate. 150m is less than half the 425m RED. So the fragmentation should incapacitate/render the majority of the site unusable, at least you would need to fix a lot of damage. As I pointed out above, currently the fragmentation is "faked" by blast damage, which is not perfect. Blast wave travels faster than fragmentation does. But actually DCS bomb damage felt like a joke, compared to real life, before. The adjustment definitely needs fine tuning, fragmentation calculated and in a perfect world even blast wave accumulation and reflection on objects, including over- and underpressure effects, but at least we now have bombs that can destroy/collapse buildings and do damage to vehicles without a direct hit! I am not sure if it's still linked on the GICHD site, but there was a nice damage area and damage distribution simulation linked, where you could see the distances on a simulated village. Also the document I linked, is really worth reading, especially the part of damage and casualty rates in urban areas (as secondary fragmentation increases the actual damage to people and unarmored/light armored vehicles). At least I hope there's an interest in understanding the real life effects and distances, with exactly the problems for weapon employment under ROE, which led to the development of low collateral damage weapons like the BLU-39 or BLU-129/B.

  9. Hi Thanks a lot for replying to me. I have gone back and looked at the track, and I surprisingly noticed that the plane was actually flying over a piece of land. However, what I could see was water, water, everywhere. Now I know the issue could be a VR-related issue. However, I own many maps , for example : Syria , Sinai , Nevada .... , only Cold War Germany is doing this to me . I have tried different headsets, and what I can see is that the same issue happens in the same location . When a map is totally strange to you, you just do not know if the place should be a piece of land or a big lake. a 19th of aug..trk dcs.log.old

  13. Thanks for a great Campaing Jonathan! I really enjoyed playing it. Good variety of different weapons forced to learn use them all. While I am early in my learning cure this was a good fit. Only time I really got frustrated was when I ran out of fuel 10 km before Kallax after doing too long afterburner run to evade Migs. I really appreacieate your effors JLean p.s. You got me to write my first post here
  14. I mean during my time in 2008 there was more rain than snow where I was. The Korengal and some other mountains got snow, but nothing significant at my FOB.

  20. For the first one, that sounds about right. But I remember trying to get him back to general search and it not working. He also does say in his voice line that he was "back to scanning again" which I assumed meant he was trying to do general search. He also acknowledges that the bandit is going down. The 2nd one he is still in wide mode though.

  22. Hello @Nix Mills. Thanks for your prompt response. I have no 3rd-party mods installed, only SRS. I had no issues at all in any other mission and you're on point, I was thinking flying it again and ask him to re-join after shooting both Mavericks. I'll test it again and let you know! Cheers!

    As I mentioned above, one base station mounted above head height, front and centre works ok for racing sims but it's not great for DCS. I've another base station on the way and will post results.
  24. You can actually. Hence the referencing to that message system. When you open the box to type a message it enables access to a scroll bar IIRC (it is been a while I had to use it). Something more robust for both modes, Multiplayer and Singleplayer would be preferable. It is been a bump on the road to open the messages history while playing singleplayer and it is as well while playing in co-op multiplayer.
  25. Heat Blur starts a new thread after the update usually so it makes sense to report your opinions or bugs in days and weeks after the DCS update. But there was no updates for F-14 module this time so better make your reports in the common Bugs&problems section. You can find internal module version in dcs.log but you don't need it for anything. If your DCS is updated all your modules are updated with it even if there are no new changes or additions.
  26. Techniques in VR allows usage of reshade effects in VR rendering, instead of the 2d screen. Plus someoptions to render effects on a specific quad view region, or only in cockpit or outside cockpit. That’s frustrating because this isworking in my config... So could you please go to "debug option" and tick "debug message in log...", select also debanding, save mod option, relaunch game, go to cockpit, then go to "debug" VREM menu, push button "capture frame", set the option "display stencil mask" on, have a look in VR, set this option off and quit game. Then post here reshade.log, DCS_VREM.ini, DCS_VREM_techniques.ini as your "option.lua" file and report if you saw the mask (red, green, blues areas) on all eyes/all regions.
