  1. Atleast thats how i thought it would work, like i said i have no picture/video/book prove for that. In the Mi-24 pre-order trailer you can see the mechanism. 1 - rotate lever 2 - tube moves a little forward 3 - up and off it goes Repeat in reverse order for new tube.
  2. The Hind will not be released into EA with the 2.7 update next week(hopefully, if everything works out).
  3. Considering only the Viggen has this problem.....I don't think it's an ED problem. F-18 shooting Harpoon ASM works fine, Harpoon keeps flying its profile and attack the target after the F-18 is dead. JF-17 shooting C-802AK ASM works fine, C-802AK keeps flying its profile and attack the target after the JF-17 is dead.
  4. I always thought - i have no prove for this! - that the "in combat" reload would be more a thing for the shturm/ataka atgm. In one of the YT videos they showed that these atgm are attached to the MI-24 via a one or two lever(can't remember) quick connection. So basically operate the lever(s) - off goes the empty tube - on goes the new tube - operate lever(s) - done. How practically this is in RL or if this was only tested and then abandoned? I don't know. In the end i'm fine with reloading/refueling at a FARP.
  5. I don't get your point here - ie i don't understand your post in relation to the quote. Sorry, english is not my first language, could you please explain in more detail so i can understand what you meant? Just to be clear and i hope or hoped my post above is/was clear. The point i answered to was VR = pilot body is a must or its crap/immersion breaking(my interpretation, that wasn't the exact wording by @Rogue Trooper). I answered telling my opinion and that i'm fine with his opinion. I hope that was clear/understandable in my first answer. If you want that feature have fun with it, i use VR and i will not use it(never did in any module 2d or VR). I find the pilot bodys in VR annoying/distracting because of the limitations it has, they don't add anything for me in terms of immersion. Coming back to the point that i don't quite understand your post @Raven (Elysian Angel)how is a blocking view pilot body -> quick disable pilot body/enable it after switching/checking panel be immersive? For me that breaks the immersion more than having no pilot model in the cockpit. If technology is that far at some point that your RL body movement(arms/legs) can be replicated in the game - my arm blocks the view -> move RL arm out of the way and game arm will follow - then i will gladly enable this feature. But until it is that time i'm happy that peaople have the choice in DCS to enable/disable this feature to their own liking!
  6. Did you actually look in the bug thread? - F-14 shooting Aim-7M against Su-24 100% MISS rate because missile goes instantly dumb leaving the rail - F-18 shooting Aim-7M against Su-24 100% HIT rate because missile goes NOT instantly dumb leaving the rail I'm not blaming anybody here i'm just curious why? So save your bite reflex for yourself, i don't care about ED/HB fanboy-ism. For more details have a look into the bug report, everything is explained so you could test it yourself, watch the trackfiles....
  7. Yeah, you are not alone with that. If your target is technically capable of ECM your Aim-7M will go stupid instantly after launch 100%, you can only use them against cargo planes and some other targets without the capability of ECM atm. It's funny that the same missile fired from the F/A-18 works perfectly fine in the same conditions against the same targets. It looks like atm the most leathal loadout for the F-14 is a all Sidewinder loadout. In my little AA testmission the Aim-54 is a little hit or miss, it looks like the missile is doing some tokyo drift wobble maneuvers to intercept the target and bleeds energy just to go dumb and glide into the ground(guessing here). I don't know if HB is aware of that(Aim-7M), there was no reaction to the bug report thread opened by falconxr8sonic so it is unknown if they read it or not but on the other hand it looks like they generally don't mark bug reports like ED does....
  8. Yes, also the most fancy looking version of all three versions - the one installed in an aerodynamic casing.
  9. Did i miss something? I fly DCS for 1.5 years in VR now(no mods - just vanilla), many of my flight hours are in helicopters(MI-8, KA-50....Gazelle/UH1-H), never had any performance hit from rotors. There are fixed wing planes which hit the performance harder than any helicopter released yet.
  10. That's how it works in SP(one human player) right? You can jump in any position, but how does it work in MP with more than one player? pilot/co-pilot, pilot/gunner or pilot/co-pilot/gunner?
  11. Sorry for OT regarding your question, but... I get your point and that is completley legitimate, just saying that i have a different opinion. I'm a VR user and a pilot body is/would be the first thing i would disable. I don't understand how i pilot body increases immersion, for me it's just a pain in the a$$. The arms are just blocking the view on switches....and on the contrary to RL i can't move them out of the way(glued to HOTAS), just annoying.
  12. How does it work in the Uh-1H? Wasn't that the testbed for the Hind(and new DCS) multicrew? I have that module but never played multicrew in any module.
  13. Ordered before watching the pre-order video.
  14. 15. But still we have to be patient! From the newsletter: "...We look forward to sharing more information closer to the Early Access release in late Q2 2021...."
  16. Now it only has to land on my SSD
  17. Finally i can say i bought it
  18. No, the pictures above are from an unfinished MOD for DCS and from a different game. The HB A-6 is not released for DCS. Google translation: Нет, изображения выше взяты из незаконченного МОДа для DCS и из другой игры. HB A-6 не выпускается для DCS.
  19. That is true, that's why i said for ME. If it's not good enough for YOU that is OK too! Just wait until high resolution VR is performant/cheap - i have nothing against that too.
  20. There is also always the possibility to switch your stable version to the OB version and back again to the stable version via command line or skatezillas tool, so no need for two seperate installations with nearly the same files. But i have to agree, using OB for many years now with only one or two times it had major problems.
  21. Considering that the next patch is now: "Planned 7th April 2021 (subject to change)" you will be probably disappointed despite the wording planned in the announcement and not "promised"
  22. I run 1.6 right now, it's not perfect but quite good in most cases. Higher resolution combined with higher fps would ofcourse always be better. I'm using my Rift S for over 1.5 years now. After the first tests flying in VR there was no way back for ME to TrackIR+monitor(i use 34" 21:9 monitor) flying. For MissionEditor work and quick mission testing yes but flying missions - only in VR for me - despite the limits/flaws it has, for me it's far more superior/imersion.
  23. That is true ofcourse, but back then i played with that setting there was a day/night difference between 1.0(even with msaa) and 2.5(no msaa) for example - in the latter i could read every little dial in the cockpit crytal clear while the dials are "washed out" with the first setting. Just the performance wasn't great - as expected.
  24. Yeah and we don't have to successfully complete flight school(or even medical exam) before we are allowed to sit in a jet cockpit, we don't have planing/briefing rooms to prepare missions before flight..... We should deinstalled this unrealistic piece of software from our PC's and enlist to our local airforces to have all of that including ground crew yelling at us to don't bother with these imersion breaking limitations...... sarcasm if someone didn't get it DCS always strived to be as realistic as possible, ofcourse there are engine/resource(TIME) limitations preventing things to be done more realistic for now. There are many arcade flying games out there, why complain about trying to be more realistic in the only sim/game that at least trys to be more realistic? You don't like it? Don't play it, you have many alternatives to play, nobody forces anybody to fly in this one sim trying to be more realistic over time - and we come a long way from LockOn times to now and i hope DCS will improve over the next decades atleast as much as it did in the last decades.
