You're welcome, glad it helped at least a little. I don't know if you use VR, but i think it makes flying(heli or AAR) easier because you can "feel" the motion. Keep having fun.

I really hope so! If the Youtubers (and the -group) don't get it a week prior to release we all can get it at the same time and enjoy it instead of watching competent and incompetent people messing around with it on YT.

SP/MP, missions that come with the JF-17 or self build ones, Log files? Do you have any mods installed? I flew the JF-17 many times on Syria map(SP) including the latest DCS 2.7.1 OB and had no problems.

As far as i know there is no way to enable it because they are not the same type of recording - SP & MP tracks.

Thats the nature of the beast(Beta), seeing there are not hundreds of people complaining about the same problem here it looks like it's not a very common problem. Do you use steam open beta or standalone open beta, does deleting the options.lua help you or do you still have the problem? I would be more interested what is in the options.lua that caused the problem for me... -

I could solve the problem for me by deleting the "C:\Users\your_name_here\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua" file. After that DCS started and asked for my login information and started normally, could click on my graphics preset to load them again, changed the game options(no labels...) and it looks like everything works again. -

Like i said in my first post, i don't use any mods, no lua config editing....and already did a slow repair, which said everything is fine. I will rename my saved games folder now. -
After todays update to DCS OB verion 2.7.1.6430 i'm unable to start DCS anymore. Double click on the DCS icon -> the little splash screen appears -> switching to full screen(borderless window) all i see is a black screen and no activity in the taskmanager for DCS anymore. Before todays update i had no issues with DCS. I did - delete the fxo/metashader2 folderds - the user/appdata/local/temp/dcs.openbeta folder - run a repair(slow) with checking for additional files I don't use any mods, dcs.log attached, lots of loading failures and an Alert to init the GUI. DCS is on my AV whitelist. dcs.log

In the end it's balancing all 3 of them. I'm no aerobatic expert, so maybe we will get some in sight from the pro's here but maybe it helps you to know how i got it running. Track from that test is attached, i'm running OB, but be warned i'm using VR so the view in the replay is not that great on a monitor(false FOV/shaking) -> you probably want to reset the view(F1...) for your viewing pleasure I also attached a YT video(should be 1440p after processing) with cockpit view and control indicator activated if the Track file is not replaying correctly - and a picture is worth more than 1000 words, especially since english is not my native language. I'm doing that by "feel" so following description is a list watching what i did in the track/video but for doing a "clockwise funnel" around a soldier(placed for visiual reference) from a hover: - trim for near hover(no need for further trimming) - cyclic slightly left to initiate movement - use rudder to point nose to soldier - apply slight forward movement with cyclic - between the "90° to 180° sector" from the soldier you will need to dip the nose forward a little to enter your "U-turn" around the soldier - from there it's playing with the cyclic/rudder to keep moving and pointing(slight adjustments with collective as needed) - with increasing/decreasing your left drift speed and the collective you can adjust the height/radius of the circle I hope this helps a little, have fun trying it. Miltech5 is one person(3d artist) that split with Polychop after some "internal trouble". He had no coder for the Bo-105 systems and was looking for one for a long time, thats why you see the Razbam logo beside the Miltec5 logo for the Bo-105, they are doing the system coding. The_Fragger(Miltec5) is also doing the 3d art work for TruGrit, Razbam has absolutely nothing to do with the EF2000 or TrueGrit.

In the Mi-8 game video thread you will most likely find better aerobatic videos for the Mi-8 than my first attempt to it from above. There i posted the awesome video too but like i said it's not aviable anymore on YT Here is one from that thread, looks like it was made in the old 1.2(?) version of DCS back in 2013

That's becasue of the main rotor diameter, Huey ~14m vs Mi-8 ~21m.

There was an awesome DCS Mi-8 aerobatics video on YT many years ago(don't know the user who made it) but sadly it got removed, probably because of copyright issues(music). There you could see everything from your video done in DCS with the MI-8 and more. My first try, put a soldier on the runway as reference a little bumpy and i totally screwed up trying it in reverse.... (should be 1440p after YT processing)

Do you own the Jf-17? There is an easter egg for the Jeff to enable thrust vectoring for it, so technically it is already in DCS. -
I think you misunderstood what J20Stronk said, it will only show the bearing from one waypoint to another waypoint but not the bearing from your actuall aircraft position to the selected waypoint: So if i use the TPOD to track a point at the ground it should tell me direction (and distance?) to that SPI? Because that doesn't work? If i area track a point at the ground with the TPOD it will still show the bearing from WPT1 to WPT2. Maybe i misunderstood something here and you are talking about something different?

RB15 BX waypoints don't show up in ATTACK/ANF

I'm running latest OB, mode ATTACK/ANF radar A1 and BX 8 and 7 set up with radar....do you have a short track? EDIT: They also show up if i set up BX6...9 in the ME but you have to manually select a Bx(practically 8 for distance to target) for them to show up, only selecting ATTACK/ANF will not bring them on the radar. -

Works fine on my side, make sure that there is no binding for the throttles both axis binding. It has for every 2 engine module in game(also FC3 planes) since....atleast many many years but i think this was also true for the old LockOn game. (should be 1440p after YT processing)

It's not an option to turn on/off some graphical(exception canopy fog) bling bling but: - Added: special option "Icing On the Cake": turn on/off canopy fog, pilot cold/hot reaction etc features
