RB15 BX waypoints don't show up in ATTACK/ANF
unknown replied to Noctrach's topic in Bugs and Problems
I'm running latest OB, mode ATTACK/ANF radar A1 and BX 8 and 7 set up with radar....do you have a short track? EDIT: They also show up if i set up BX6...9 in the ME but you have to manually select a Bx(practically 8 for distance to target) for them to show up, only selecting ATTACK/ANF will not bring them on the radar. -
M-SEL forgotten? quick and dirty video, maybe it helps, if i didn't get your point just ignore me: (should be 1440p after YT processing)

correct as is ground units - go to waypoint
unknown replied to unknown's topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Yes that works perfectly fine and makes setting up patrols very convenient! -
Works fine on my side, make sure that there is no binding for the throttles both axis binding. It has for every 2 engine module in game(also FC3 planes) since....atleast many many years but i think this was also true for the old LockOn game. (should be 1440p after YT processing)

What the title says, the propellers of the Ticonderoga class cruisers don't spin. Track/recorded on Syria because the water makes it easier to see there. Ticonderoga.trk

NO! It all depends what you shooting at! If the target can use ECM all -7F and -7M will fail to miss the target if you use them with the F-14 but the -7M will hit the Target if you use the missile from a F-18!(and F-15 like others said) The -7MH will hit the target using ECM also with the F-14 like in the F-18. As soon as the target is not using ECM the -7F and -7M will hit the target from the F-14! 1. if i shoot an Aim-7M at a Su-24 without reacting to threat/ECM OFF/NO chaff at 14nm i will hit that Su-24 with my Aim-7M 2. if i shoot an Aim-7M at a Su-24 with reacting to threat/ECM ON/NO chaff at 8-9nm(or closer) i will MISS that Su-24 with my Aim-7M (not if i sit in a F-18! or F-15 like others said) This is 100% reproducible. Distance doesn't matter, only if the target can use ECM or not. This was reported to HB by several users in different threads now over 2 months and the only reaction was to a false claim of "oh this works" with "good to know" despite the fact that nothing changed and this still happens only with the F-14 not in any other DCS module capable of using the same Aim-7M missile. 1_F14B_AIM7M_SU24_ECM_OFF_HIT.trk 2_ F14B_AIM7M_SU24_ECM_ON_MISS.trk

I disabled these optins too after installing Win 10 pro. One last shot, i use a fixed windows page file of 32768 for both (start/allocated...something like that, i don't use an english windows), was recommended because i had some trouble with energy saving mode....if you haven't already set this up it is maybe worth a try? EDIT: Sorry, just forgot that you had/have this already set up(first post). I should stop posting in a rush...

Get rid of IR suppressor on Mi8
unknown replied to Fanki 17's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Maybe this thread is helpful? -
Interesting, my page file is set to 32768 for both initial/allocated and i don't have the problem. Maybe you're onto something, let us know how it works out for you, might help other users here.

Looking forward to Cyprus, Syria is a great map!

Sorry for the wrong Info about the temp folder above, it was a little late and i looked into the wrong folder... I did the test again this morning and recorded everything, i'm uploading the video right now to YT and will embed it here(it's 20min so it will take some time until YT will have processed it) In that video you will see: - local/empty temp/dcs folder - start dcs -> ME -> open simple test mission JF-17 takeoff from runway (Syria, caucasus doesn't change anything on the behaviour on my side) - takeoff -> esc -> fly again.... about 3 times - takeoff -> esc -> ME -> fly....about 3 times - takeoff -> quit to desktop -> start dcs again -> start mission from mission main menu -> esc -> fly again... a couple times - quit to desktop -> delete folder -> start DCS/mission -> esc -> fly again.... To be honest, i forgot what combinations i tried, switched several times from DCS in game or while DCS loaded the mission with alt+tab to the temp folder so you can see what was created there. At some point i replaced the JF-17 with the F-16 and did some of the tests above..... Never had a problem loading, but i have to say, if i would have tested this with the F-14(or maybe Viggen) i'm not confident that it would have be this problem free. The only DCS stops loading a mission problems i had were with the F-14(Viggen once), no problem in any other module so far. EDIT: @XPACTVideo attached, atleast YT finally processed the video to 1080p(was 360p before, you couldn't see anything on that), should be 1440p after it is finished. I don't know if this will help you in any form. BTW, Win 10 pro with HAGS=off, DCS settings in signature. EDIT2: Video removed, not relevant anymore.

EDIT: info about the temp folder(always empty) is wrong, i was looking at the wrong folder.... Any specific mission? F-16, instant action, caucasus, AAR mission - start, flying, quit to desktop -start DCS, load same mission - flying, quit to desktop - start DCS, flying same mission - quit to desktop - folder AppData/temp/DCS... still empty - start DCS, flying same mission - quit, clsoe, exit DCS - start DCS, flying same mission - quit, close, exit DCS -start DCS, flying same mission - quit, close, exit DCS - folder AppData/temp/DCS... still empty - start DCS, flying same mission - quit, re-fly - flying same mission - quit, re-fly - flying same mission - quit, re-fly Or short answer, no problem.

I will post this here, not sure if this is the correct thread but.... Since the first 2.7 OB update i had no troubles with missions not loading (first, second, third...time) or DCS crashing for some unknown reason(exception ofcourse the known reasons for CTD...F10 marker F-14/Viggen). But i tried the F-14 and Viggen the last days more often and with the Viggen(once) and the F-14B(4 or 5 times now) DCS stopped working at mission load(first or second time loading the a mission). I never had such a problem with the F-16/18, JF-17, Mirage2k, Mi-8 or KA-50, they are working like a charm for me. I posted some dcs.log files in the HB 2.7 feedback thread but now i will post them here too, maybe it helps.... or not. Last crash(dcs3) was me, placing the Stennis and a F-14B(start from carrier runway) on caucasus, hit start from the ME and DCS stopped working. After restarting DCS i did the same thing and the mission loaded. Btw, after the first 2.7OB update i deleted fxo/metashader2 folders and run a repair for file check(everything was ok). dcs.log dcs2.log dcs3.log

Works for me in the F-14B, didn't test the A. "Fun" fact, as i did position the Stennis and the F-14B(runway), hit start from the ME my DCS froze on mission load. This only happens with HB modules for me(once in the Viggen and 4 or 5 time in the F-14B so far). This never happens in any other module (F-16/18, JF-17, Mi-8, KA-50, Mirage2k) for me, tested many missions since 2.7 OB release. stennis.trk dcs - log.log

Thats because the comms menu binding doesn't use your radio equipment, it's more a talking to someone via intercom*/open canopy....not your radio. That's why it works on the ground but not in the air, it's the same behaviour in every other module. * despite the fact that there are seperate intercom bindings for several modules

Request for Trigger SAFE/UNSAFE toggle keybind

It's not a Master Arm switch like in other planes, see Machalot's explanation. And a - Have Fun! - with the Viggen also from me. -
[FIXED] JF-17 Radar TDC Slew Rate controls very slow
unknown replied to DarkStar79's topic in Fixed Bugs
+1 Yes very slow, even with the Radar TDC set to max(2) in the special options. If using key binds(4way hat) instead of my analog axis TDC it is a little faster but still slow. Also the horizontal movement is slower than the vertical movement. - first left/right/up/down cycle is with analog TDC control - second left/right/up/down cycle is with key(4way hat) TDC control (should be 1440p after YT processing) JF-17_TDC_axis_vs_key_slow.trk -
Cool, that was exactly what i was looking for an hour ago! I was hoping to populate my airfield a little with such a function after choosing my plane slot, so a late activation/deactivation function for static objects would be cool! Or you add the option that all client planes are loaded as static as long as they are not occupied by a player. But what exactly does this do? If i add a static plane on the ramp, add a trigger zone and a ground unit, set up a trigger if ground unit is in zone -> static activate -> the static plane is there from the mission beginning and nothing happens after the ground unit enters the trigger zone....

Request for Trigger SAFE/UNSAFE toggle keybind
unknown replied to Machalot's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
So you have a two stage trigger joystick, where is the problem? Why not just use the trigger hold key binding? First detend trigger goes from safe to armed -> second detent weapon release -> release trigger, trigger goes back to safe position. This doesn't help people without a two stage trigger ofcourse...
