+1 This is also the case in the "old" A-10C. It feels really odd sitting that close to the front panel and having half a meter space to the chair rest...

After todays OB update it looks like Deka has changed something in the stick shaking behaviour. With todays OB update the shaking lasts only for ~15 seconds. So, is this behaviour wanted by Deka or an unintentionally interaction between pilot freezing effect and the de-fog function? Track, latest OB, caucasus, default DCS weather. @VC If you change the YT link from: [url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orBTXLNG-iA[/url] to: ["YOUTUBE"]orBTXLNG-iA["/YOUTUBE"] without the " marks you can embed the video directly. shaking_stick_after_defog_on_caucasus_update.trk

Go ahead, prbably the fastest way to get an answer from Deka. If you want to include the video also, just click on quote of my post with the video and copy the [Youtube....row, should work.
-
Ah stupid ME, i did the test on the Syria map. So if you don't own that map you can't replay that track. I will do another on caucasus. No, it doesn't stop shaking. After i turn the temperature knob to 35 degrees the track replays for another ~40 seconds and in that time the shaking still exists. Considering the shaking starts instantly after pressing the de-fog switch i don't think this is a "pilot is freezing" situation or the ECS just sucks to get the cockpit back to "normal". :P EDIT: Track showing the shaking, this time on the caucasus map(default DCS weather). shaking_stick_after_defog_on_caucasus.trk
-
Yes, i cycled ECS and put the temperature to 35 degrees. Also note that the track playes a little longer than the video, so it was set to 35 degrees for a longer time periode than the video shows(not for minutes, but still longer ;) )

It would be nice if we could have an answer from Deka if this is working like intended or not. All we can do now is speculating :dunno:

Do you have a link? +1 If you can home in HOT missiles in the Gazelle while flying it i don't think you will have problems in the Hind(atleast i hope so). And when the ai is there to do the job i can relaxe a little and enjoy the ride. If they talked about multicrew i couldn't care less because i play most often SP and i don't have friends interested in DCS to fly with. Please ED, i would like a little Mi-24 xmas gift from you. :D

I also noticed this shaking yesterday but didn't care about it much. Today i noticed it again, it looks like the shaking stick starts after you press the de-fog button. Track and YT video(should be 1440p after processing) attached, i'm using the latest OB. EDIT: WARNING, track was made on the Syria map! Sorry that i didn't mention it before. shaking_stick_after_defog_on.trk

Please don't take this question personal!!!!! What is so hard to post a track? Without a track all we can do is guessing. That doesn't work well often, just like with the lottery. ;) But in your case i bet it's the same problem like J20Stronk and AeriaGloria already said. You forgot to plug in the G-SUIT! Because you said you "have the Tube connected" instead of "i have both tubes connected". So have a look at the pictures below, if that doesn't solve your problem please attach a track of your start-up. Nobody will laugh at you because you missed something or you didn't do something like in the books. If it solved your problem, update your checklist and have fun with the JF-17 again.

Addition to the remove hardpoints option
unknown replied to paco2002's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Uhm, thats exactly how it works in DCS if you also remove the additional armor(what you didn't do on your second without hardpoints picture). So, you have to remove the additional armor plates to be able to use the Nav lights on the nose of the Mi-8. Also see the following "bug" report, it is working like intended: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=165214&highlight=armor+lights -
Serious question(not questioning your opinion), why are you guys so obsessed with pilot bodys? I'm just interested, it's the first thing i disable if it's active because it annoys me if my arms block the view of switches and i can't take it away like in RL(VR).

[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?
unknown replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I jumped recently into the A-10C again to dust off myself for the upcoming A-10CII upgrade and noticed this too. I use VR and if i start a mission in the A-10C i'm literally sitting on the forward edge of the seat. If i look behind me there is enough space for a second person to squeeze between me and the seat back(exaggerate a little here to make my point), other modules are fine. I hope this is not an issue for the A-10CII. -
[Report Thread] Bugs of China Asset Pack
unknown replied to RocketmanAL's topic in Chinese Asset Pack
If you setup a Helicopter on the 071 Amphibious Transport Dock as "Takeoff from Ramp/Runway" on "PRK" sation 2 and start the mission the helicopter sits on "PRK" station 1. Only way to force to be on "PRK" 2 is by setting a second helicopter on "PRK" 1. -
Su-30MKK Full fid or FC3 version?
unknown replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
Yeah, it would be a dream come true finally :bounce: But tbh i'm sticking with: until we have an EA announce date. -
If i bind the functions: - Weapon selector turn clockwise - Weapon selector turn counterclockwise - Radar MKR Gain increase - Radar MKR Gain decrease to my rotary decoders on my throttle they get recognised in the controles menu but not in game. If i bind buttons to these functions all works fine. Strange is that if i bind the functions: - Mode select - turn clockwise - Mode select - turn counterclockwise to the same rotary decoders they get recognised in the controles menu and in game. I know that this worked at some point flawlessly for me in the Viggen(using OB, it workes in other modules).

[NOBUG] RB-15 waypoints not updated by radar ?
unknown replied to Lynnux's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just dirt a very quick test in SP latest OB version. - one enemy ship - one Viggen loaded with 2 RB15 - NO(zero) waypoints/BX points set for the Viggen in ME or F10 map - setup BX8/9 via Viggen Radar (used your 800001 TAKT code) - launched both missiles and sunk the ship Can you replicate the problem in SP? Maybe a MP thing? -
I have to diasagree.
-
I use always the latest OpenBeta version. If one module is broken i can use another one or if DCS OB is broken i play some other games.

How to choose best TGP camera option for the job?
unknown replied to Eldur's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Hm, worked fine for me yesterday(VR). That was in DCS default weather and daylight, testing TGP/Mav in the F-16 over Syria map. Also my PrtScrn function for screenshots works, i reported a LoD bug for the Mirage after the last OB update and took two screenshots with that key(tab + control+v to paste into paint.net). -
But that's the point. If you set a SAM to red it is NOT "deployed and ready for combat'' at mission start. What will happen at mission start is it will start to deploy and if finished with it it will be ready for combat. I would appreciate if SAM systems are set to red that at mission start they are already ready for combat instead of starting to deploy.
-
I can't tell for the SA-3 but i tested the SA-2, SA-8, SA-11 yesterday and all worked perfectly fine for me. I also guess you didn't set them up correctly(missed a checkbox)? Could you attach that mission here so we could have a look at it and help you out?
-
Thank you very much Timghetta for the quick hotfix, works fine for me

Just for reference from the patch changelog, this is the link to the ED google doc with all(?) current codes in it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1p77yaLQJaUMbAIKJDKX5iMN5N5qm_Qqt_dJNyJjLQtw/edit#gid=0 Edit: @BIGNEWY In the patch changelog on the ED main site the point is a link to the google doc but in the patch changelog on the forum it's plain text and not a link to the doc, maybe a little irritating. Is it possible to make the text a link too for reference so people reading the changelog on the forum can open the doc quickly without having to search for it?

ALIC Tables for the AGM-88C HARM (.pdf and Kneeboard)
unknown replied to AstonMartinDBS's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Thats because the Hawk is on 203 and 204. Here is the link to the patch notes: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/ If you scroll down to the F-16 notes you will find which contains the link to a google doc with the codes in it. ED said they will implement a list with the codes for the Kneeboard in the next patch, but i'm not sure if they mean the one next week or one after that. :) -
After todays patch for the OB there is a problem with the LOD for the wheels of the Mirage. I already deleted fxo/metashaders2 and did a repair but at certain zoom levels there are no wheels, pictures attached.
