  1. Yes, they "only" make modules. And they have to deal with broken modules because of changes to the core ED made and doesn't communicate to their 3rd party devs(in advance). Also ED gets it cut from every sold 3rd party module, i have 30% in my head but don't quote me on that. So it's in their own interrest of having many 3rd party devs with "the luxuary" of "only" selling modules. But what exactly has all this to do with your post i quoted? I only quoted you because you started your post with "Actually Dekka RBM mapping mode is based off ED ground radar API. Its not an in house solution." Which was never claimed by the post you quoted, thats all. False statement/misinterpretation, whatever. And your comment: Is this because of the original statement by Harlikwin of ? ED choosed to release 2 EA modules ontop of their core workload and they choosed to do the SC module ontop of that. If 3rd party devs raise the bar in quality/state of content with their modules because they can concentrate on one module it is because ED choosed to go a diferent way(yes keeping the lights on...i know). Thats fine with me but doesn't change the fact that some 3rd party devs are ahead in quality and quantity(features). No hard feelings here, i was just confused by your post/ i didn't understand your point. Maybe it's a language barrier thing.
  2. Do you have a source/link for that? I don't follow Discord or any other site, hence the question. All i know(officially) is Wags last Mini Update: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4266853&postcount=40
  3. Where did he claimed that? Is clearly aiming at HB. Anyone denied that? But that doesn't change the fact:
  4. Just upload a short track showing your problem, i'm NOT saying you are stupid but maybe the trackfile will show a step you are missing or are misinterpreting because you are used to a slightly differnet procedure from another module or you found a bug or what ever, only a track file will show. Again, i don't want to assume anything but there was a user in the F-18 sub forum complaining and lament about the Harm and god and the world saying the Harm is broken/not working and in the end the only "problem" was he missed one step(make it SOI). It can be just a little thing causing the trouble, but it's hard to try to help you if everything (info) we have is "missile lose lock the moment i launch him" and the experience of other users is different.
  5. You are right about that, a license is always preferable if it includes some more documentation for the dev team, benefits us all. But on this forum you hear "no license = no module" everytime, looking at Razbam i always think "why" if i read that statement. They already did that. Not talking about the quality of the 3rd party dev and what they make/made out of a module with/without a license here. :music_whistling:
  6. Also upload the trackfile!!! Tacview is nice for debriefing/tactic stuff but it will not show us what you saw/did before and while shooting the missile(did it even lock...), it's much more helpfull then a tacview file. They are working ok for me, SP, not flying much/often MP.
  7. How important is that licensing anyway? If i remember correct Razbam had no license for the Mirage 2000C and that's the reason it's called M-2000C in DCS and on the Shop. I can remember someone from Razbam saying something like "we know it's a Mirage, Daussault knows it's a Mirage but we can't call it Mirage...".
  8. Then report it as a bug? One of two things will happen: - they correct the value in the Sim - they correct the value in the manual It wouldn't be the first time Deka or ED/3rd Party Dev had an error in the manual but the correct implementation in the Sim.
  9. Seems correct: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4309910&postcount=5
  10. OT The Viggen pitch trim was(is?) also fps dependant. Looking forward and using it you had to wait way longer as if you were watching the dial close up. /OT
  11. Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not a big fan of the F-15(i just don't like it looks). If i would have to choose i would go for the "ED F-15C" instead of the Razbam F-15E. Why? - F-15C is a single seat aircraft - F-15E is dual seat If i remember correct Razbam said they will not add an AI WSO like HB did with Jester. I love the AG role but an dedicated 2 seat Strike Eagle without an AI in the backseat? (i don't fly in MP that often), sounds useless to me. But on the other hand, maybe you can do most things from the front seat, as i said i don't know much about the F-15.
  12. +1 Works fine for me too. Deploy->Cut->Neutral and then it stays in neutral until the drag chute is rearmed. This doesn't help you with your three-way switch control wish ofcourse, but it works "P" key and my HOTAS binding for it.
  13. There are a few possibilities: - they run OpenBeta and don't know it - they are trolling you - they hacked DCS ED didn't release the JF-17 for stable at the moment, for whatever reason, it's more finished than other modules aviable for the stable branch. Picture below was taken from the ED shop page a minute ago.
  14. Here he did specify the F-15 model(C, text and poll option) but not the Su-27 model. Over at reddit it seems the vote was between Su-27SM vs F-15C
  15. I only use the lights as reference, works quite good for me. I never had that happen to me, is this in MP(lag?) or in SP?
  16. Bump Just some points, maybe they help: - using VR IMHO makes AAR way esier - put the JF-17 into AG config(AG1/AG2 doesn't matter) -> way less twitchy - don't try to stop your forward movement at the basket -> for me this only end in overcorrection/oscillation :joystick: and you don't have enough space for corrections(speed/forward/aft movement) becasue of the slow engine response - don't try to align yourself to much with anything(at least in VR) just keep a slow approach speed to the basket and correct your position, works pretty good for me maybe for you too. It's like driving at the highway, everyone is driving fast but the relative speed to each other is quit slow so you have time to correct and adjust Attached are two tracks from the JF-17 AAR(day) instant action mission, recorded in VR so the playback could be a little shaky. AAR1 i nearly screwed up the connection because of a to high approach speed AAR2 worked pretty good After connecting to the basked you will realize that keeping the connection is harder than the actual connection :D , at least for me, because of the slow response. But a slow approach in the first place helps here too. I hope you get it figured out for you to work. AAR1.trk AAR2.trk
  17. Do you need help testing this part of the mission?
  18. Is your radar active or in stdby? See also: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=257778 Works perfectly fine with active radar but not in STDBY, no comment from Deka if this is WIP/BUG/Intended until now.
  19. Fair point, but that is true for every optical/IR guided SAM and he said he saw the HQ on the HARM TOO display, so i think we can rule that one out for this case. +1 for the rest But without a track nobody can tell for sure and we all are just asking our "glass ball". Not helpfull for the OP and us.
  20. There is no strange interaction with Deka's Chinese Asset Pack here. Everything is working fine, the FA-18, the Harm, the TOO mode. I would highly suggest that the OP is providing a TRACKFILE so we can see what he is doing(and probably missing) because the steps provided in this thread several times now work fine in at least the latest OB version of DCS and had worked fine for me since release of the Harm. My wild guess is that your DDI showing the Harm is NOT SOI, thats why you can't hand off the Harm and can't shoot. BTW, there is no SHOOT CUE in the HUD like with the AIM-120.
  21. How is the poll over there looking? I'm not active(no account) there so i can't vote/see the result over there. I voted for the Su-27, most sexy aircraft ever build
  22. If i remember correctly its a quote from Wags's The Fighter pilot podcast. (...why they had tweaked the F/A-18's FM data...)
  23. Who stops you from doing that? You can equip them via rearm menu or if there is no default loadout with them just create one inside the ME so you can select that loadout later.
  24. Ah OK, you only switch between different Waypoint sets with FPA-A/B once implemented. If you want to switch to a specific DST look at the attached pic(i borrowed yours ;) ) It's a very handy tool to copy/past for example your SPI data to PP points and release multiple weapons at the same time. If i didn't get your point again, just ignore me. :D
