I think in GMT mode the target is tracked if moving and I believe the lock has to be made in that mode. In MAP mode use can refine locks by using EXP are DBS mode to zoom in on a locked target to get a better view. Also I believe the TGP can also be be slaved for further refinement.

I noticed when browsing to check out plane modules for sale, the promo videos are gone. Is something changed with the DCS site? Just wondering because I checked on more than one machine and the videos appear removed.

Either drop the tanks before you land and them back or remove them on the ground and add them back. Both ways should solve your problem.

Perhaps the test needs to be conducted at a longer range. 280 miles may be too short of a distance, just speculation. Ins drift may take longer to crop up than you think. I have flown the KA-50 and noticed the drift took much longer to become an issue over time than expected. Do you have data on this? Maybe real data would tell us when we may need to do a fix? Once again, just spitballing here.

Change your helmet mounted device using the ground crew. I didn’t realize this at first, but that is the issue.

I find that tracers are better. Lead calculating sight tends only to work when the target is not maneuvering.

I’ll be in on the preorder. It think it helps to get some funds up front to keep the product moving. For me, if I plan to get it, I preorder. If I’m in wait and see mode, I may order later. F-15E is a purchase for me, so might as well preorder to get a little discount for keeping the faith.

All the update videos are helpful, I don’t care they come from. When a plane gets a new feature, I like to see a review of it. I do use Chuck’s guide as a training tool. It’s always up on my second monitor, but when changes happen, it can be a while before it is reflected there. Matt Wagner is a good source for for these, but I like others like Bogey Dope, Deephack and Casmo. I watch most of the DCS related content, as long as it is decently done. Nothing worse then someone learning as they do the video.

1000ft is minimum drop altitude. You are setting a SPI for the auto mode to use as a drop point right? Set break height to 1000, since that is the minimum. See what happens.

I don’t know if Razbam will follow suite, but the F-15E can carry all air to ground weapons in the USAF inventory. That includes conventional or nuclear, which I know you won’t get nukes. Also I’m sure you won’t get all of that at once. So myself, I’m hoping that it will at the least have all the weapons we have now available. Maybe a couple extra.

I just make a secondary action (modifier) for my buttons, works for me so far in the Apache.

Maybe there will be news after the Strike comes. A few more red 4 planes would be nice. I often thought they might do something with the FC3 planes as well, if possible.

Fuel load can have a huge effect on on slow speed handling and cornering speed from what I’ve found. When you get below 50%, it seems happier.

I would say go try out the Black Shark if you want to see something different.

This one will be on my to get list. First plane I saw in action in combat.

I would go 4090 if the power supply can take it. VRAM is nice but I think 24Gb just may be overkill.

This might have been asked but I could not find it in a search. How much drive space for the install? Close estimate? I have a 2tb explanation planned, but I haven’t done it yet. Just want to see if it is within my old drives limit, so I can jump right on it.

I think there will be at least one month after the preorder starts. Once some of tutorials start, like start up, then I will feel like we are getting close. That’s how you know they have a fully working jet and they are just squashing bugs. But the sooner the better, but I would prefer it more on the complete side. So I can wait for that for sure.

Yep, I will enjoy putting it through its paces. I’m alright with the CE,but I’m ready for an upgrade.

Thanks Heatblur for the update. I have the Tomcat and the Viggen, so I for one appreciate the amount of work that goes into producing such high quality modules. I am looking forward to your future projects. It’s good news to hear that F-4 is moving along nicely. Thanks for all you do!

For me, I’ll be flying them both, since I will own both. Since the Strike will a new module, so I’m hoping the graphics will be better and systems are heavily modeled. That’s the fun part to me, just getting into the systems and learning to use everything.

I try to maintain a positive outlook. They are working as hard they can, it is a business, so I know better product means more business. Many don’t remember how the older sims were no where near what we have now or weren’t born yet. From my prospective, this is the best thing next to real thing, so progress, slow or not, just makes it better. I’m keeping the faith.
