  1. I haven’t tried this yet. So please forgive me if this is incorrect but I thought in the WSO keybinds it’s a depress of the switch to get the radar and Tpod to work. I’m not sure if after that’s done if you can then watch what the pilot does from the backseat.
  2. I was wondering what this was in screenshots folder, I think that’s where I saw this. There is a F-15E folder that has a whole bunch of the pics in it. So how are these created and how do we use them once they are created? Thanks…
  3. I was getting small micro stutters with the default setting & this is from a very powerful of running the latest Intel chip and a RTX4090. They weren’t a big deal but it was noticeable. I changed the setting to 8 and they are no longer there or at least I’m not noticing them now.
  4. Do you mean HRM High Resolution Map? If this is what you are referring to then you must offset the radar beam 15-25 degrees. There is a dead spot that goes out the front of the airplane that prohibits you from getting a high res map. So you must offset it. I usually set up a waypoint that’s off from the actual target so I can get a HRM and zoom in to select my target or targets. There’s a few really good videos, like the one Casmo referenced above that show you how to do this. It’s really not that hard once you get your keybinds down and practice a few times!
  5. Even when your flying a small airplane like a Cessna 172 there’s constant noise! In military helicopters it’s also very loud, there always seems to be a type of white noise in your helmet. Also the radio’s are constantly sounding off. Operating an aircraft is noisy! So far the sounds in the SE don’t bother me. It would be nice to be able to tune them up or down to your taste. Personally I’d love to be able to turn that sound down to hear the engines kicking into afterburner. Maybe ED & Razbam will look into something like this. Time will tell.
  6. Haven’t tried it with the SE but i did get the F15C up to 56K and Mach 2.1 with burners and a clean jet. I think you can get it faster but haven’t tried. I’ll have to try the SE later tonight. I’m curious what the top altitude will be. You could probably get it higher without the conformal fuel tanks on it and a clean jet.
  7. That’s strange! I set one up the other day I think it was a SA2 and it worked fine. Also the SA6 did as well. Try setting up the Template SAMs that are prebuilt and see if they work. If they do then it’s probably something your doing incorrectly or something. That’s how I would start to troubleshoot this. I’m not really good at making missions etc but those templates work well, at least for me! Give it a try…
  8. You can’t blame people for being pumped up & impatient for the release. We’re constantly being shown videos, pictures etc.. and tweets that The Year of The Strike Eagle etc… It’s like showing kids candy & putting it in front of them but locked in a glass container & then telling them over and over how good it taste & man when you taste this it’s like heaven ….. so I don’t blame folks for being a little impatient & wanting to get this in their hanger! Heck I can’t wait either & keep thinking we will hear something about the release date soon.
  9. Looks fantastic! Looking forward to this. I use the old version all the time so this will be a welcomed update!
  10. Here’s a few screenshots from a few days ago. We flew a night mission against a enemy airport!
  11. Looks very good. I didn’t even know these existed on F1.
  12. Here’s a few from the other nights flying session. I tried the Giraffe tactic on a couple F-14 Tomcats on Ace setting. We snuck up with radars off then popped up, tuned on the radars & locked up the F14’s. On of my wingmen we’re shot down during this but we did manage to shoot down the F14’s. I was a little surprised it worked as well as it did.
  13. Guilty of doing this as well. The strange thing is you don’t get any feedback or big warning lights etc when it occurs. At least I don’t remember any. You just loose all thrust and go into glider mode. I did happen to restart it by flying down in a steep AOA and it started back up.
  14. Totally agree
  15. I usually use High Drag bombs due to the fact that I seem to end up closer to the ground than I intend, probably from not practicing to become proficient at it. If I use a steep enough angle like 35 degrees or more I can usually eyeball it and end up hitting the target fairly good. I do need to read up on the proper way to do this though so I can get better at it. This jet is a lot of fun & I’m liking it more and more!
  16. Let me guess………hmmmmm…… Two Weeks?
  17. Thanks for the link. Yeah that was going to be my next question is do the old skins compatible with th KA50-3
  18. Very cool livery! Is that available to download? It looks fantastic…
  19. Wow, this is some really great additions for DCS! Really looks like high quality add one’s! Thank you for sharing all your work! I haven’t had a chance to download and try them out but will tomorrow for sure! I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work on this. This is going to make ambushing enemy convoys look more realistic! I’m not even sure I know what all the units are that come with this! Again, thank you!
  20. Try this link. Not sure if it will work https://discord.gg/FbXKBHSm
  21. did this Mod get released today? If so does anyone have the download link? I couldn’t find it on the discord
  22. Very complicated stuff! I need my coffee this morning to even understand it!
  23. That’s wild, you’d think compressing the air would speed it up. Much like moving water from a larger pipe to a smaller pipe builds the pressure. Unless I’m not thinking correctly. Either way it’s amazing how all this came to be & the technology changed as advancements made. Really interesting stuff.
  24. Hey Snappy I think this is the interview. Not 100% positive this is it but it’s the only one I could find in my YT history so it might be it. Either way it’s still a great interview and she sounds like a solid pilot. Here’s the link…
  25. Oh that’s great, thank you! It’s something that I heard on the interview & for some crazy reason it just stuck in my head & I couldn’t figure out exactly what she was referring to. I had an idea but didn’t know if it was the actual fin that’s before the air intake or in between the blade and the fuselage. Anyway thank you for all the replies and the video! Great stuff! It’s kinda funny how the USSR copied it over onto their Mig thinking it had something to do with aerodynamics at high speed. I’m sure we, the US, has made similar moves! As I was watching the video, I never realized how pointy the nose is with that big pitot tube! Also I wanted to ask if you knew how the blade, not the cutting blade, moved? Does it slide out at an angle and those holes in it slow down the airflow to the engine? Or do they move differently than that. Sorry for the question I’ve never really looked at them before. I saw them and knew it slowed air at super sonic speeds to the engine but never thought much of it. It’s very interesting. Thank you again I appreciate it, B
