you develop your own FM based on the physics ED gives you. like drag, drag while turning, engine thrust and so on. and what changed now is that Razbam can change engine thrust based on current altitude and lots of other extra variables that can be changed, that wasnt possible prior to 2.7
-
well very easy explanation to this. before 2.7 update it was literally impossible to create a FM that would get closer to the real Harriers flight performance. Thanks to ED adding more variable to FM with 2.7 Razbam is finally able to finetune enough to get even closer to the real jet. and thank god the ridiculous drag is gone, that was added with previous FM so Harrier doesnt go into space or fly mach 2.0

Harrier Cold Start Broken since March 5 update
Wisky replied to Amahvan's topic in Problems and Bugs
btw its part of the real before start up check list to disable parking brake and move throttle all the way to the front and back to cut off, to check if there is any mechanical problems -
Harrier Cold Start Broken since March 5 update
Wisky replied to Amahvan's topic in Problems and Bugs
having the same problem with X52 also sometimes my controlstick is full left, until i just give it a very tiny input on the x axis and it will go back to center position. -
i dont believe a campaign can be bugged in not letting you cold start the jet. maybe you just forgot to activate the fuel shutoff lever or the jet was on 0lbs of fuel?
-
there is a few letters and numbers that will give a faulty sketch: i dont remember all of them but it was Q, 0(read Zero), 2, 4, 6 also i was having problems with extruding C, I, N, V (had to close some curves manually)
-
sounds like you are still too far away from the target. try pressing your NWS button when your in IRMAV mode to change Field of View, and dont depress the TDC to aquire a target lock until your not further away than ~5 nm the Mav in real life still has problems to lock until your only about 1-2 nm away from your target

[REPORTED] EHSD symbology displayed on second MFD
Wisky replied to Aernov's topic in Problems and Bugs
this has already been reported in the past. it only happens if you have your EHSD in the right MFD instead of the left. -
i observed this behaviour too. not urgent but nice fix to have

so RAZBAM said on discord today that turn rate for the Harrier will increase with next patch. Also engine thrust will decrease by ~10% at low altitude and ~50% at high altitude, to get closer to performance charts
-
the RAZBAM changelog didnt make it in time, to be posted in the ED news. but its there here is from the harrier: DCS: AV-8B Night Attack V/STOL by RAZBAM - Fixed: CCIP aiming point when it is limited (dotted cross). - Fixed: Backup ADI slip ball not moving on the ground - Fixed: APKWS set keybinds non-functional - Fixed: "Cruise Flap" command not bindable to HOTAS - Added: Barometric altimeter pressure calibration cw / ccw keybinds - Added: bingo fuel level knob cw / ccw keybinds - Added: Fuel Totalizer switch cw / ccw keybinds - Added: RWR vol. cw / ccw keybinds - Added: Counter Measure EXP cw / ccw keybinds - Added: ECM Pod switch cw / ccw keybinds - Added: Nav Mode Switch cw/ccw keybinds - Improved: Adjusted high altitude engine efficiency - improved: UFC Mode timer disabled when CS/T is selected

its moving up -> the direction your plane is flying right now left -> from that direction 90° to the left right -> from the direction your plane is flying 90° to the right aft -> the way your plane is coming from it should slew N,W,E,S, but apparently there is something not yet working correctly. its known and they are working on a fix.

its fixed with hotfix from today

the thing with the LST is that you need to change the laser code prior to switching it on or right after you done it. Example 1: you take off and switch to your personal laser code 1678 and activate LST, LST will track for 1678 Example 2: you take off, switch to LST, type in your personal laser code 1678, LST will track 1678 Example 3: during mission your buddy wants to lase for you, and asks you to switch to new Lasercode you switch your lasercode to 1688, but your LST will still track for 1678. What you need to do is: - use the DMT switch in your Center Panel behind the Joystick, turn DMT/LST OFF - Change Lasercode to 1688 - set DMT switch back to ON - now LST should track the new Lasercode 1688

No thats not supposed to happen in any case. You could do nothing wrong to make this happen out of your own free will. Looks like a damaged .lua file. Run a repair, if that doesnt help i would commend a new install of DCS

Also make sure if you have a Interval set that you hold the pickle button long enough or not all bombs will come of the rails.

[FEATURE REQUEST] F10 Target marks and data inport to aircraft
Wisky replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in AV-8B N/A
so you guys mean like the already in game system called mission editor? -
yes you can place deck crew and static objects now at will in the mission editor, so the default stuff was removed for greater diversity

[REPORTED] Flares not appearing in FLIR Hot Spot detector
Wisky replied to D4n's topic in Problems and Bugs
because their size is too small to be missunderstood as a plane or tank -
[FEATURE REQUEST] F10 Target marks and data inport to aircraft
Wisky replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in AV-8B N/A
well this is just me but putting targets in F10 map is highly unrealistic you can already choose what Target and Waypoints you want to add. just add them manually using the aircraft's systems (yes you will need to type every number in that coordinate - because that is realism) -
[FIXED] Cannot change APKWS Laser Code from Cold Start
Wisky replied to Tuuvas's topic in Resolved Bugs
@Razbam while we are it fixing this for the next patch can we please get keybindings: barometic altimeter cw / ccw bingo know cw / ccw Fuel switch (the one next to bingo knob) cw / ccw RWR vol. cw / ccw Counter Measure cw / ccw ECM Pod cw / ccw Nav Mode (OFF - GND - SEA - NAV - IFF...) cw / ccw (a working one, the one in the game right now doesnt work) all the brightness knobs cw / ccw (for those that dont want to use pots but rather encoders for that stuff) -
[FIXED] Cannot change APKWS Laser Code from Cold Start
Wisky replied to Tuuvas's topic in Resolved Bugs
so to fix the alphabet rocket lasercode keybinding: go to: dcs directory -> mods -> aircraft -> av8b -> input -> av8b and then either or both for: keyboard -> default.lua open with Notepad++ or any other IDE add pretty much at the end of the document in section Ground Adjustment (Kneeboard) {combos = {{key = '1', reformers = {'LShift','LAlt'}}}, down = iCommandPlaneCircuitBreaker_31, value_down = 1, name = _('Change APKWS Lasercode First Digit'), category = {_('Ground Adjustments')}}, {combos = {{key = '2', reformers = {'LShift','LAlt'}}}, down = iCommandPlaneCircuitBreaker_32, value_down = 1, name = _('Change APKWS Lasercode Second Digit'), category = {_('Ground Adjustments')}}, {combos = {{key = '3', reformers = {'LShift','LAlt'}}}, down = iCommandPlaneCircuitBreaker_33, value_down = 1, name = _('Change APKWS Lasercode Third Digit'), category = {_('Ground Adjustments')}}, and if you so want in: joystick -> default.lua add in same segment {down = iCommandPlaneCircuitBreaker_31, value_down = 1, name = _('Change APKWS Lasercode First Digit'), category = {_('Ground Adjustments')}}, {down = iCommandPlaneCircuitBreaker_32, value_down = 1, name = _('Change APKWS Lasercode Second Digit'), category = {_('Ground Adjustments')}}, {down = iCommandPlaneCircuitBreaker_33, value_down = 1, name = _('Change APKWS Lasercode Third Digit'), category = {_('Ground Adjustments')}}, to be able to switch it with any joystick button too
