VR user here. Yes to be able to fly i must disable FLAT Shadows. Having them on flat or default/medium has the same performance hit. Unflyable with Shadows on FLAT. Without mention the white halo around the aircraft tyres (although this is already stated as reported). -
2.8 loading textures takes a loooooong time.

we went from 2 secs texture loading to around 30 secs or more. This can´t be sign of the time changes. -

Thank you so much for taking your time helping me. I saved this post so i can work on my liveries taking a step at a time. Now i have some light on how to do it. I use GIMP par with paintnet.net. I´m going to search for photimpact10 too. Keep up and thank you for everything you do for the DCS community. F.

I love paint.net! found it last year and learned to edit my Hornet liveries (adding more details, callsign, kill marks), but all simple stuff because it´s my first time working with vectors, dds and paint.net. Next step i want to convert dds for 4k like some user created liveries (Megalax, lee1hy, Thomas Vercauteren). It´s possible with paint.net? it´s something that a new user can learn? Thank you in advance, F.

The mods can be ziiper or don´t, but they need to have the correct path folders created.

Yup, i´m testing SGSSAA and noticed improvement in clarity first time i loaded the sim. I need further testing just to be sure it´s not placedo effect or something related but i don´t think so. Tested in Nevada and PF and performance and image was the best i had in a long time (although i have Terrain Shadows OFF for now due to issues with the new shadows, i usually use Flat Shadows but they are bugged), tested also in Caucasus but the performance was not so good, i need to investigate the culprit.

2.8 loading textures takes a loooooong time.

+1 here. Something is going on, when load up the mission it takes about 20/30 secs to load all the textures while until 2.7 textures were loaded in all objects in about 2 secs.... -

Does the deck crew jittering and path logic fixed? (Deck crew jitters and do full 360° turns before stop walking).

With the new damage model it will be a PITA if not impossible to place statics to have a crowded deck.

You can disable Halloween easter egg by adding this line to your autoexec.cfg file (if it does not exist you need to create it): no_easter_eggs = true

Hi, Anyone with same issue? deck crew jittering, sometimes they do a 360 before start walking. Easy to reproduce, with a clean deck just watch a cat launch or two but focused on the deck crew. Thank you, F.

Thank you. I was having a awesome performance for a very long time (VR user) and now DCS on my side is only flyable with Shadows to OFF (as a VR user i use always Flat Shadows). I hope you´ll sort it out. The only thing regret is now i can´t use anymore Object Free Camera + Views Slow Up/Down/Left/Right (all binded to my gamepad) to enter in objects/statics. I use those Views key biddings to simulate walking in first person. I used to go to the aircraf by bus (as in pic) or climb the boarding ladder and be real close to the plane while i do my walkaround in VR and now is not possible it blocks me from enter the statics or be real close to the aircraft. nevertheless Keep up Regards, F.

It´s more noticeable in VR. Noticed in the first time i tried 2.8.

I like the new hangar interior textures, ED improved it finally, look awesome. I just don´t like them 100% because of the text on the back wall (rather have them without text) and missing night lights although the light object is present and probably will have light in a future update like they did now to the test bench with PG. Hope you can update your file because i only started to fly again in Caucasus because of you Best regards, F.
