Update: version 2 attached - 20 aircraft types - choose AI skill level, set angels / altitude. Now playable with F-14, F-15, F-16, F-18, F-5, A-4 Hello this is a universal BFM/BVR training mission/script which allows you to spawn bandits with your voice (VoiceAttack). If you don't have VoiceAttack, the F10 menu works as well but not as convenient. CAUCASUS https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320774/ MARIANAS https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320868/ SYRIA Attached, does NOT require A4 COMBO voice commands: "Spawn four Mig 21 at 10 miles" - 4x Mig21 will spawn on your 12'o clock at 10 miles, equal altitude to your aircraft "Spawn one F-18 at 50 miles, angels 30"- 1x F-18 will spawn on your 12'o clock at 50 miles, at 30,000 feet "Spawn two A-10 on my six" - 2x A-10 will spawn on your 6'o clock at 1 mile, equal altitude to your aircraft SETTINGS voice commands: "Missiles On/Off" - bandits spawn with missiles or guns "Sam sites On/Off" - turns SAM sites on / off "Set bandit count 4" - next wave will spawn 4 bandits "Set bandit skill (average good high ace)" "Set bandit type (F16 F18 F15 F14 SU27 SU30 MIG29 MIG31 MIG21 A10 Bf109 A4 F5 Fw190 I16 MiG15 MiG19 Mosquito P51D Spitfire)" - Sets bandit aircraft type for next spawn "set bandit distance (1-150) miles" - Sets enemy distance to 1,5,10.25,50,75,100,150 miles "Set bandit distance on my six" - next wave will spawn 1 mile on your 6'o clock "Set bandit altitude 30 thousand feet" - Next bandits will spawn at 30,000 feet "Set bandit angels 5" - Next bandits will spawn at 5,000 feet "Set bandit angels same as me" - Next bandits will spawn at your altitude "Set bandit altitude 30 thousand feet" - Next bandits will spawn at 30,000 feet "Set bandit altitude equal" - Next bandits will spawn at your altitude "Spawn random bandits" - spawns 1-4 random bandits at previous distance "Spawn bandit group" - spawns bandits with current/last used settings It gets pretty intense at times. AI skill level can now be changed before spawning bandits. Adding more support to choose fuel level and smoke on/off for bandits. Im still learning the Tomcat and needed more "engagements" to practice, so I extended sesksa's script with more functionalty and created VoiceAttack commands. Voice Profile .vap : import in VoiceAttack. Unbind F11 and F12 keys, so that the radio menu can be operated from anywhere without switching to external views. Installing with VAICOM, see The script bandit_on_demand.lua can be added to any map. latest version on github command reference.html Bandit On Demand-Profile.vap Bandit on Demand v2.miz Bandit on Demand Syria.miz

no bug A-10C II is not available in the mission editor
winghunter replied to Natalon's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just had the same problem. Historical was disabled. BUT: CAP was selected as task. That DISABLES all A-10s from the dropdown, you have to switch task to CAS -
I dont like to use the mouse or keyboard in VR. So i use my ipad with fingers and stylus instead. There are mutliple apps that allow you to mirror your iPad/iPhone on PC via airplay. I'm using LonelyScreen which has an ulimited trial period. Android users can use Microsofts phone app with windows 10/11 Then simply add the LonelyScreen desktop window in steamVR and attach to your controller or in a specific position. Next step: attaching my useless VR controller to my ipad, so when i move my ipad the movement is synched in game. The nice thing is that when the controller isnt moved, steamvr fades the kneeboard out of view automatically.

Totally miss this, also resupplying ammo via script.

Ohhh thanks, this DCS api is full of easter eggs -
How to change heading of a spawned unit via script ? (mist)
winghunter replied to winghunter's topic in Mission Editor
Thanks, i've updated to latest mist and tried this approach. It seems however that heading makes no difference to spawning air units, they will always face north even though their heading data says different. -
yes, though the course and heading selectors work a bit weird with a normal joystick. A rotary encoder would work better. Ive merged this with your mod, see attached F-14 missing axis keybinds.zip

Thanks though i forgot to mention Heading is already in radians, as i get it form local Heading = mist.getHeading(player) -
Do you have this on github ?

Anyone tried 511.79 with DCS yet ? Supposedly +2 fps in MSFS
-
Same for me, you need to set renderScale to 0.77 or it will CTD with 2.7.10 But i dont use it any more, I find the game looks and runs better at Steam 100% and MSAA compared to Steam 150% and 0.77 vrperfkit, even the DCS mod. Just too much aliasing introduced by FSR.
-
That's not necessarily true, he may have less money to spend on modules, or acquired that gaming rig for other purposes than DCS. The key argument is that ALL of us will fly in VR in a few years. The 2D monitors will become the niche market as far as 3D gaming is concerned.

I didnt have the issue with TAz's shaders. But I did get a performance loss on my 3070. The only way i could explain is that I play in lowest settings except MSAA and textures medium. While people with 3080 or 3090 play medium settings and hence may see an actual performance benefit from the shader mods. But for me its a net loss.
-
Does vsync fast still have a benefit with 2.79?
-
And uninstalled the shader mod again, recompiled. Now +2.1 avg fps compared to shader mod. Noticably smoother and more stable framerate. GPU limited, CPU is at less than 30% in this empty mission. Thats even an 1.1 fps increased compared to the fresh install. Which may be due to forced shader recompile, which i had not done after the fres install even though i changed graphics settings.

Poor VR Performance unless game is restarted.
winghunter replied to Sleepy Joe's topic in Virtual Reality
I used to have this usse but gladly I dont have this issue anymore. I uninstalled custom shaders, cleared fxo & metashaders and lowered texture resolution to medium. Not sure which of these were responsible. But now i can restart missions as often as i want without performance drops. 3070 GTX -
