I tried version 3 of Grinelli F-22 without "enhancments", and IR signature is lower than those of small helicopter, that are already artificially buffed by ED, is this intentional by mod developer, or rather bug, it's hard to belive that F-22 in hi altidue and afterburner is invinsible for Flanker EO sensor
  3. I'm interested in getting this map, but not plan to replace my RTX 2060 Super soon, I know map is bigger than others, so I have concerns over having only 8gb VRam. Is anybody also using Kola on similar GPU? I have 32GB of RAM, no problems with other maps so far in 4k and hi details.
  4. jammer functions that on Viggen are not implemented come from simplified EW in DCS, not from ECM not being moddelling itself, jammer on Viggen work, need time to "power up" and do job fine

I would rather like to see opposite process, that would be ceasing sales of current FC3 and improvment of current FC modules to higher fidelity ones with common FF standard, like working radio, cold start, IFF. FC and a lot of things related to them, especially in MP make DCS look like arcade game, not real milsim
  6. This would be a great thing, allowing to populate map parts that are not modelled, imagine Crimea, but also DLC maps are missing airfields, even in areas that are populated, like Bushehr airfield in Iran
  7. We need ED and RB to finally split, for FF F-15C to happen, but I think most people would be content with just fully clickable EA level FF F-15C based on current version of the plane and current FC visuals that re IMO more than adquate
  8. Stingers overall, also manpads seem to be bugged rn, a lot of hits make no damage, i m not going to provide tracks, but preety sure others will, iinitially I tought it's a problem with damage model of some modules, but seems it's Stinger lethality issues

  10. Is there any mod that allow a-10 use mavericks A and B, our FC A-10A is 90's, but is it possible to make more like cold war asset?

I m really interested in this map, and I like it's improving, interested in buying one day, but we need more cold war assets for this map, I have little trust in ED in providing those, otoh, plenty of mods cover this, but it's hard for servers to ask people to download like dozen of mods first, to have immersive CW campaign, especially older US cruisers and destroyers, some Soviet landing pad capable ships, can be anything from Rogov to Kiev classs, obviously more nordic specific jets, and also some norwegian navy worships, Oslo class maybe, but focusing on US and Soviet/Russian assets becouse they have simply more value for DCS in the future, so my request to devs would be, contact modders and try to implement their work into DCS, just for Kola map, but DCS as a whole would benefit as well.
  12. IIRC, current Viggen FM follow charts, issues were few years ago, when Viggen was capable of mach 1.3 on the deck, it was very optimistic, rn it's great FM, but definitely, not near as easy to fly like any 4th gen, even ones without FBW

IMO way Petro find targets using optics, is just arcade mode, and hopefully ED follow at least some sort of simulation of human eyes, current jump times betwean scan zones are also superhuman, same with instant detection of all targets, especially betwean trees and buildings. Siriously guys, finding camouflaged zu-23 on tree line takes more than 1 second... I love Hind system moddeling, FM, visuals and sound, I like to listen Petro in both lenguages, also I think that spotting without optics is ok, except maybe not reaquiring old target that we lost, it seems like bug, but spotting with optics feel extremaly unrealistic, it simply shouldnt overperfrom real human CPG by hundreads of %
  14. Is this element of a Hind reason, it's still in EA, overall I like Hind being tanky, especially critical compenents being hard to destroy, but flying without major problem after eating 2 stingers, doesnt feel right, are those issues addressed, or it's working as intended?

Using roadbase on Buddyspike server, despite entering runway heading manually (propably not very precise) few minutes after take of "nav sys" error appeared, but to my supprise I was able to switch betwean My 2 entered waypoints, heading and distanes looked correct as well, so question is, is it a bug, that Viggen can show nav sys error, even if nav sys is working correctly, or there was real navigation error, but too small to affect navigation, becouse diffrence betwean entered runway heading and real take of heading was too small?

  18. I wonder how likely Deka is to fix J-11/Flanker FM and what are perspectives of FF J-11 in the future, even oldest version, I wouldnt mind paying for proper Flanker, either FF or improved FC24 module

Biggest flamingclifization of DCS Flanker are r-27t missiles, procedure to fire those is a bit more complicated and missiles themselves were not that loved by RL pilots as they are by DCS pilots, but still FC3 Flanker is not great plane by any means, DL is usefull, but Su-27 is slower than it should be, much closer to F-15C in RL than it is in DCS, radar is significantly worse, even than FC3 F-15, and aim-7>r-27r. FC3 auto IFF help, but to much lesser extent than big Tomcat radar, Flanker have to count on AWACS/EWR to build SA, so that auto IFF in BVR is less impactfull than many belive, also IRST not give IFF obviously. As mentioned, boat based planes have uphill strugle in dogfights in general, they have few extra tons of junk that ground based fighters dont have.
  20. How it's even possible that this kind of bug exist for more than 1 update? It's same missile as aim-9L with diffrent painting, maybe temporary solution would be allowing aim-9L to be carried by Viggen, until bug get resolved

TBH, even "new" Kuzniecow doesnt look great, and keeping non SC model, IMO is bad for ED buisness, it's terribly outdated, it's a shadow on overall game quality, same can be said about some more old models, but Kuzniecow is actully a combat ship, used in missions , and definitely will see more action on new Kola map
  22. JA-37 wouldnt be that hot, skyflash was weaker than late sparrows, if we include upgrades, then it's another amraam platform, plane had worse performance than 4th gen fighters, and things that are special for Viggen, we already have in AJS-37, Gripen otoh...
  23. I m new to Viggen, but default program for quick realese is "2", does switching to "1" help a bit?
  24. How to attack targets with bk-90 that are at higher elevation, in short how to set QFE when we are attacking targets on mauntain from valley, do we have to climb way above hill we are attacking, do we have to set QFE for launch point or for target point, is bk-90 "behaving" in such scenario?
