would not be accurate More single weapon mounts/racks.
Tholozor replied to SickSidewinder9's topic in Wish List
Single rail mounts for the AIM-9 and AMRAAM were never used by U.S. Hornets, same for rocket launchers. That came later with the SUU-80 outboard pylon on the Super Hornet (except rockets, which Supers can't carry at all due to the pylons being toed outwards). -
Yes, but it's different. The EXP option is only present under certain conditions: - Only available in STT, TWS, or SCAN RAID. - Trackfile must be designated L&S. - L&S must be greater than 5 miles, or an angle-only track. - L&S must be in the tactical region of the radar display.
-
This is no longer the case. The jammer operates in radar priority mode.

Argument 509 swaps between JHMCS and a normal visor.

The current plan is not until after it gets Image Auto Track (IAT).

This had been brought up a few years ago too. -
correct as is [CORRECT AS IS]HUD Symbology Cutoff
Tholozor replied to Maverick806's topic in Bugs and Problems
AFAIK, that's the point where the two planes of the HUD glass overlap. It looks the same outside if VR, and only if viewed from certain angles. -
Don't forget you also have access to TALDs, which are great for distracting/draining SAM systems.

You can do OFLY, FCR, HUD, and TGP fixes.

correct as-is Velocity switch is not working
Tholozor replied to Charlie122sq's topic in Bugs and Problems
HUD velocity tape will always be CAS when the gear is deployed. -
What Type of Bombs and how many can sink a boat in DCS
Tholozor replied to ruddy122's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Walleyes are another fantastic anti-ship weapon, especially if mobile and you need fire-and-forget. -
correct as is FPAS locks and does not allow to change HOME WP
Tholozor replied to escaner's topic in Bugs and Problems
If the HOME FUEL caution cannot be calculated by the FPAS, the home waypoint is crossed out and the selection arrows are removed. Every waypoint 0-59 is valid for selection, even if it's all zeros (which is a valid coordinate). One thing you could do is if your home waypoint selection is locked in this manner, is just edit that selected waypoint to the desired location or a location more nearby so the FPAS can calculate the HOME FUEL caution and re-enable home waypoint selection. -
Can't see why not, as long as each target is lased independently and roughly in the same vicinity.

Are you using the correct keybind for the specific radio you have tuned to Marshal?

QUESTION ABOUT F/A-18C FUEL GAUGE
Tholozor replied to P.Carrasco =Keep Flying='s topic in DCS: F/A-18C
The IFEI will only display RPM and TEMP off of battery power, as fuel quantity indication is provided by the signal data computer. If you know you definitely have fuel, just start the APU and the fuel indication should restore once the SDC is powered up. If you're not sure if you have fuel or not, you can use ground power instead. -
It's known as a Glory: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glory_(optical_phenomenon)
-
Spacing for the aircraft behind you, and those behind them that are waiting to depart the marshal stack. Everybody is consuming fuel.
-
It depends on where you have the pod loaded on the aircraft and what else is loaded on the pylons. The pod also sits very close to the center compared to, say, the A-10 being very far out on the wing, or the F-16 being very far forward towards the cockpit.

Changing the Default Countermeasure Programs Breaks IC
Tholozor replied to itsthatguy's topic in Multiplayer
Try restarting DCS. It shouldn't break IC on the first load, but once the aircraft is loaded, it'll get flagged. -
correct as is CBU-103/105 cannot be configured if mixed together
Tholozor replied to ZombiZarre's topic in Bugs and Problems
True, the -105 doesn't need SPIN for the BLU-108s. -
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it works as follows: TDC Depress over empty space should set the scan volume azimuth center (provided azimuth scan volume is less than 140°, otherwise nothing). TDC Depress over a ranked trackfile should designate it as L&S. NWS/Undesignate switch should step L&S through ranked trackfiles (high to low). TDC Depress over L&S should command STT. SCS towards the attack format with TDC priority assigned to it should: - Command STT on L&S via fast acquisition. - Command STT on TUC. - Command AACQ if the above conditions are false.

As far as I can tell, the only function described in the -000 NATOPS is backup COMM preset frequency control. Granted, additional functionality may be documented elsewhere.
