  1. Those motors are expensive.
  2. I wouldn't be able to figure out how to connect the individual component. Am I right in assuming that your code just measure the resistance across the axis? I could easily wire up a playstation joystick controller and I could model a mount for it. Where did you get your board by the way? I can only find chips.
  3. These guys sell pointing sticks, so it might be worth asking for a quote. http://sprintek.com/products/PointingStick.aspx And I'd still be more than happy with cannibalising old keyboards. Pinouts: https://deskthority.net/wiki/TrackPoint_Hardware
  4. A replacement lenovo keyboard is about £20-£30 on amazon, I'd rather cannibalise a part than spend nearly half as much as my entire throttle for one component. https://www.amazon.co.uk/LENOVO-THINKPAD-Matte-Keyboard-Trackpoint/dp/B012DFMFVG/ref=sr_1_64?ie=UTF8&qid=1518483225&sr=8-64&keywords=trackpoint https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thinkpad-04Y0967-CS13X-UKE-Notebook-Trackpoint/dp/B078WTD8ZZ/ref=sr_1_42?ie=UTF8&qid=1518483225&sr=8-42&keywords=trackpoint
  5. You have a strange definition of reasonable.
  6. I just bought a passively powered USB 3 hub and plugged it into a USB 3 port.
  7. Just tested quickly with a logitech 3d pro with nozzle control mapped to buttons. I found during a landing attempt that at zero throttle I couldn't change the nozzle angle. Later on on the ground, with the nozzle at 80 I couldn't move the nozzle even with full throttle. This problem only occurred with buttons; I was able to move the lever no problem with the mouse.

    Yak-52B?

They already made the module for a government contract with a green light to sell it to the public. Since they already have a complete module, they might as well just sell it to civilians for a bit of extra cash. It may not fit with the C part of DCS, but if they have a product ready to go, why not just sell it?
  9. You should put this in the wish list subforum. https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=438 Either way money is money, just have them give you amazon vouchers and use your own money that you're not spending there instead to buy DCS stuff.
  10. Thanks for the round up.
  11. I can't remember the exact process, but I was able to compensate for it with DXTweak. My warthog throttles had the same problem, but after adjusting to min, max and middle values of the calibration, I was able to get them moving in perfect unison with just a teeny tiny amount of deadzone at either end. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3285693#post3285693
  12. Should it be possible to start without the APU. Also is that starting time accurate? Seems like it started up too quickly.
  13. I had a similar problem with my warthog throttle. I guessed that the hall sensors were slightly misaligned. I solved the problem with DXTweak. My memory of it is vague, but basically one would reach 0 before the other, so I adjusted the minimum of the other so that it would register 0 in the same place as the first. Then I did the same with them for the max value. I then worked out where the half way point was for each throttle and used that for the centre value, but I can't remember how I did it exactly.
  14. Has anyone seen this: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/diy-ffb-steering-wheel-mmosffb-in-progress.7769/ Seems like a lot of the work has already been done, I think the software even has a DCS profile.
  15. You want to take something that's already in the game, remove it, and then force everyone to pay for something they already had to begin with? If you are that desperate to give your money away, I'll happily take it off of you.
  16. This worked for me as well.
  17. Looking good, very good.
  18. I already tried to (I'd love to stick a leobdnar in there and have a PS thumbstick for the slew control), but from his second post I gathered he'd already promised it to someone.
  19. I would imagine there's not much point in him doing anything until after 2.5 is out.
  20. Skate could you make it so that when selecting the build to manage, only the modules that work in that build are shown? I understand that it would be redundant once 2.5 comes out, but I hate having to remember which campaigns work in which version.
  21. As the title says, the main site is down at the time of posting.
  22. Nope, still the same size. 4.25"x4.25".
  23. The labels look cool, but I wouldn't want them on my stick.
  24. I tried the ED tracker and while it was a fun project in its own right, IR head tracking is miles ahead of it IMO. The two main problems of it are drift in the non compass model and powered headphones interfering with the compass sensor in the compass version (or at least my ones did).
  25. Good to hear.
