  1. I literally just loaded it up to prove that the Caucasus are in 2.0. If you don't believe me, open the mission editor, click on file and select new, you can pick the map on the left hand side of the window, place a player controlled aircraft and start the mission.
  2. Probably not. To give you an idea, I have both versions installed and every module and most campaigns. 1.5 is 31.3GB and 2.0 is 65.1GB. 2.0 already contains the Caucasus map, so the only difference between both my installations is Nevada at 33.8GB, if we imagine that the updated Caucasus will be roughly the same size as Nevada, the final installation of 2.5 will probably be the same as if you had both 1.5 and 2.0 both with all modules installed. If you don't own all modules then it will probably take up more space.
  3. So that's a yes then. Kinda disappointed now.
  4. Will your knobs fit the alps switch natively or do they require the adaptor as well?
  5. Yeah, I thought the resistor had to go before the diode, I guess I was wrong.
  6. Sorry if it's been posted before, but what alps switch is the holder designed for?
  7. Aren't those 3 resistors and LEDs on the right the wrong way around or does it not matter?
  8. Looking good, really good. The CDU (and also the UFC) is a must have for me.
  9. I think it just works natively. Just remember to flip whichever axis it was in the control bindings and delete the axis for your thrustmaster/sidwinder in the aircraft you don't use them in to avoid conflicts.
  10. As far as I can tell the only thing they have a copyright on is the chip they use to create a rumble effect. All we want are motors to drive an axis to a given position and force loading.
  11. I've being trying to get my head around this problem for ages. Now I just need to learn Russian. lol
  12. I love the double cam system. Such a great solution to the problem of single cam design.
  13. debolestis, can you create a tutorial on how to build the slew controller. I can work out the assembly itself but connecting it to a device and programming it confuses me.
  14. I really want to see what ideas hegykc has for the collective throttle mechanism.
  15. I'm thinking you could turn the stick around and mount it to a sim pit seat or modified chair and it would be really cool.
  16. ...............................................I know.
  17. You are getting confused dude, you are reading things that are not being said. Here is what I actually said: I'm not talking about the combined axis, everyone knows that X^2+Y^2=Z^2 (0.5N in the X axis plus 0.5N in the Y axis will require 0.7N in the combined direction). What I want is for the force in the X axis for a given deflection in that axis to stay the same regardless of how much deflection or force is used in the other axis. It's more than enough that I can feel it, even with an extension.
  18. Can you show how you connected the chair to the frame?
  19. I get what both sides are saying, but the fact remains, as someone in the market for a new joystick, I want one with separate axis and progressive cams, realism be damned. The reason is simple: When using the warthog: When I command 50% right stick, I have to exert a fixed amount of force. If I then add aft stick in addition, the force required to keep 50% right stick goes up (equally, the force required to command aft stick in this instance is higher than without the right stick input). The force required to command an input on one axis should not be affected by the input of the other axis.
  20. Serial: 2732 Location: Chepstow, UK Got me one of the new graphite coloured ones.
  21. Would be very much interested in the double cam gimbal and how much it will cost.

    GUI Style Poll

    I just want it bigger.
  23. How did you build the throttle grip?
