Red and blue color in the George target list is hard to read
spikenet replied to 01G8R's topic in Bugs and Problems
Agree I'm going cross-eyed trying to read it in VR. But huge improvement on what we had! Thanks Colours arnt great for reading, but not sure how they can make that better beyond changing the background colour of the text. -
cannot reproduce and missing track file COOP Rocket mode
spikenet replied to TZeer's topic in DCS: AH-64D
did you select the correct rockets on WPN page? depends on your loadout but if you have different types loaded it wont know what to use. -

how does that work? I created a voiceattack command to show/hide the briefing

Thanks I did try AH-64D_BLK_II but DCS kept crashing, I should have looked in the snapshot DIR to get the proper name Is that livery you have used available? scene.m:setLivery("Avengers 1-227th ARB", "AH-64D_BLK_II")

this mod might give you nearly what you want, you still have to select message history but the game doesn't pause. Is there a shortcut key for message history?

I edited the files as per this post, would be great to have this as an option in the settings. Apparently you can change livery but I have not tried that yet

Thanks for the inspiration, AH64 VR here edit: updated with proper model. Uncomment out the livery variable as required. Thanks toutenglisse for the help ;) AH64D-sceneVR.zip

thanks for the heads up on that mod. I agree with the OP that its annoying the mision brief is truncated, would be good to see freqs and all the other important info from the brief on the first page.

I run similar setup on my VKB T-Rudders and feel its about as good as it gets right now. It can still get what appears over sensitive/wacky sometimes but I assume that is the SCAS doing its thing?

Controlling Apache - Long Cyclic Stick
spikenet replied to Fuggzy's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Pretty simple, measure twice cut once? Getting the height in relation to the chair is important and how it interacts with the surrounding. I have a motor for my steering wheel so I cant have the stick to far forwards or it hits it. The small mounting plate for the stick makes it super easy to construct (1 piece of ply and 2 offcut hardwood handrail. 6 screws hold it together) and with your feet resting on the floor its not going to move anywhere! -

Ive had warthog and now the VKB and both you can offset the grip to be more ergonomic. It doesn't affect calibration, its all the same -

I have installed latest profile and firmware I believe. I'm more interested to fix the dial so it is linear. The button I can live without but will open it up and do ask you suggest.

I'm now having a strange problem where the radio PTT gets inverted. Its listening when off and suspended when PTT is pressed. Does it mid mission which is weird.. any ideas?

Video of the reading https://imgur.com/a/UF5YbwO , I tried to move the dial smoothly and you can see it jumps down from 100-50 fast then sites in the middle and jumps down at the end, same as the map from the test logger. I have tried everything including multiple calibrate, different profiles etc. Also having some problems with button #2 on the 4 way hat (right) not always working so not sure what is going on inside with it.
