While keeping the handle pulled, press your toe brakes once, then release the handle. Handle will maintain in the protruded position. Done. To release parking brake, tip toe brakes again.

It's EA, I think we gotta give ED some time to add a lot of important stuff and then also some dozens of liveries in between. I'm even hoping for German liveries at the horizon, since Germany will receive 60 CH-47F in the near future.

wip Only one VHF radio in the Missioneditor [i don't have the Hook]
Rongor replied to mwd2's topic in Bugs and Problems
It's fine. We currently only have access to VHF via a single ARC-186 running in AM. No UHF at all right now and the FM and HF radio do have fixed freqs. w.i.p. I guess. -
Tried to bind with keyboard, button on a box and a switch on my stick. Doesn't work. clicking on the ACK-key B7 seems to be the only current option.

I have to do this as well with my Saitek pedals, in most (all?) modules, this is not an issue with these module though. But yes, problems may arise when people forget to check their toe break axis' config in regard of necessary inverting.

I remember how some years ago ED stated that modules should follow the unified standard of right clicking enabling and left click disabling stuff. During the startup of the Chinook its instantly noticeable that its the opposite in this module. Battery, all three generators, all eight fuel pumps, the B/U power and both pwr xfer switches require LMB click to be switched on. Is this an intentional deviation from a long known concept?

works fine here

The two red horizontal bars likely supposed to display the power setting remain at the bottom at all times.

investigating engine shut down is impossible, trackfile attached
Rongor replied to Rongor's topic in Bugs and Problems
I eventually can shut both engines down by pulling the fire handles, the ECL in OFF detent don't work. CH-47F_CAUC_TRNG_01_CS.miz_09082024_23-05_ENG dont cut.trk -
reported UTIL PRES light remains dark, trackfile attached

It also happens even on the ground randomly, without any TCL actuation. If the AFT AUX and FWD AUX contain fuel, there is no issue. Since the AUX tanks are empty in the first training missions, the master caution relights frequently. Switching off the aux fuel pumps and/or ACK'ing the cautions doesn't solve this issue.

reported UTIL PRES light remains dark, trackfile attached
Rongor posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Cold start training mission tells us to verify the UTIL PRES light illuminating. Light seems dark to me all the time. -
Can confirm it doesn't seem right. Kicking the ball only makes it worse.

After binding both ECLs to a separate axis, I noticed that they can only occasionally get retracted from ground detent to stop detents. If they are in flight detent, there is no way to move them back out of flight from there by actuating a controller axis. Right click on the levers ingame is required to have your controller axis actuate them again out of flight detent, though only until you reach the ground detent. Then another right click is necessary to regain control for moving them back further.

Sat/aerial imagery down low showing buildings that arent modelled
Rongor replied to WirtsLegs's topic in Bugs and Problems
I think expecting ED to achieve MSFS levels of AI powered real world map accuracy down to google earth level might be a little unrealistic don't you think? -
Adding a country should be as easy to accomplish (by ED!) as adding a text line into a list and adding a little flag image file. Adding the entire list of global countries which ever existed since the dawn of flight and maybe a dozen fictional ones on top should be achievable by this month's intern during an afternoon at the office, maybe two for preparing the flag images. If its not that simple to do, then the whole implementation is coded unnecessarily complicated in the first place and should have been changed a long time ago. Same for navaids and com frequencies, possibly more stuff I just can't recall right now. Things like these make you wonder why sometimes such trivial items have to rest in ED's backlog for so long.

This is not true . There are numerous popular servers running persistent campaigns involving lost of ground units, necessary to capture and/or defend assets and POIs, these projects would benefit intensely from seriously expanded libraries of vehicles for immersive variation. The current selection of ground units regardless blu/red is very limited and has been for a long time now.

This is correct and nothing Afghanistan specific. Colored names are only visible in the mission editor. In game you have to check the info box. Has been like this forever.

Are you serious? I could be wrong but I don't think ED stands a realistic chance to ever complete any map if we begin to report inaccuracies of 40 ft of elevation across modules encompassing a whole country.
