  1. A question that I’m sure someone can answer for me. I know the beautiful Tomcat D was retired in 2006 but I can’t find anything to tell me when the last F-14a’s we’re retired from service. Could someone explain? I’m sure BlackLion will know for example.
  2. Tornado would definitely utilise the jester technology.
  3. Love this module already.
  4. Yeah it’s a shame. That’s why I don’t use the mods. Have to wait for ED to release more a.i
  5. Yeah Miramar map. Or at least if someone could create the fightertown hangars as static objects. Someone has created Jesters skin for the A4 so we have that now.

    Mirrors

This is a neat option to improve your FPS. Having said that I thought the mirrors in the vid looked outstanding
  7. :megalol:
  8. I think they mean it’s delicate. Not so much it’s size.
  9. Is the cockpit mirror function implemented yet? On another video you could see pilots helmet in the mirrors on this video the mirrors didn’t show anything. Great vid it’s coming together nicely. Particularly like the way Jester interacts. It will be a big help.
  10. Thanks very much Rabso.
  11. Is this an a.i eurofighter mod for DCS? I can’t find it anywhere.
  12. I have to say I’d love to have animated crews created like that for DCS.
  13. I just noticed you got your lights.....
  14. Its not another SIM so I shall discuss. If anyone has an Oculus Rift, go on the Oculus software and search for 1943 Belin Blitz. Its a VR experience put together by the BBC and puts you inside a bombing raid in a Lanc, using the audio recordings taken by a reporter at the time. Its a wonderful tribute to the bravery of bomber command aircrew and quite a wonderful experience, im sure the actual experience would have been terrifying. Give it a go.
  15. I would like to make this my next investment https://www.yawvr.com It looks like a great bit of kit and folds away nicely. Not sure I could use a warthog with an extension with it though sadly.
  16. Thanks for your insight mover it’s great to get feedback from people with experience of flying the hornet. Pixel density in DCS VR settings will improve the clarity of visuals in cockpit but of course the greater the pixel density the more powerful your PC needs to be. One thing I have as well is a long extension on my warthog stick. Since getting it I could never go back to the standard warthog stick, the precision it provides in my opinion is so much better I would urge everybody to try it. I’m sure as you pointed out in your video that you will never replicate what it’s like to feel the real stick in the Hornet. But it’s an improvement.
  17. I sense the Battle of Britain is coming.
  18. I’m getting plenty of CTDs in Normandy map.
  19. I have this black flickering issue with VR
  20. Please remove the cellophane when you make the Sea Harrier FRS1 cockpit Razbam
  21. Some credit to Razbam here. I know the thread starter isn’t bashing Razbam, but I would like to say anyway that I think their cockpit textures are a great balance between looking beautiful and good performance. I get great performance from their modules in VR. They are also a developer that does very good cockpit mirrors and feel pilot bodies are important for immersion and the one in the Mirage looks great.
  22. For DCS in its current state aircraft like like the F14, the Hornet and Harrier are the best option to get the most from what DCS world has to offer IMO. Now I’m an aviation enthusiast and by that I mean I love all aviation, and have loved flight sims since the early 90s. So I love WWI air combat WWII and modern air combat. I accept that for WWII DCS probably isn’t the best platform for a combat simulation, that being said if I want a simulation that will offer me the most realistic experience available then for me DCS is the place to go. I’m not saying that because I can fly a spitfire well in DCS world means I would be an exceptional pilot in the real thing, but I think ultimately we all strive for realism, it’s what simulation has always been about and I love being able to manage all the systems in the aeroplane. I think DCS WWII has potential, and I was a backer from the start. Personally I’ve always loved Spitfires and absolutely love that simulation in DCS, and nothing else has the level of detail of the DCS modules. So one day I hope that everything else can catch up, the Normandy map is good but I think it still needs work, I feel the colours need work particularly with the VR situation, (In fact all VR needs some TLC in DCS). I also feel a huge turning point for DCS WWII will be the damage modelling which is so important for a WWII sim and then some single player missions and more a.i units. So going back to the direction DCS is going, I feel at the moment it’s best suited for modern air combat but i think it has the potential to be the best platform for everything I really do, but it’s going to take a lot of work and time.
  23. The high octane fuel is something I would like some clarity on. If it was something our European Mustangs had in 1944/45 it would be nice to have that simulated, and might give a little more help against the K4 which I find to be a formidable opponent. But either way looking forward to the updates because I love the Mustang. Was a long time ago now since it was released and very pleased it is getting some love and attention.
  24. Battle of Britain style dispersal huts. Ability to have bomber mod a.i units they don’t react to threats like fighters. It’s great to have the German bomber mods but when I attack them they all break formations and climb better than an Me262. Maybe some sort of Runway overlay that can create a grass strip to take off from? Unrelated maybe but Quick mission builder that adds large formations of enemy aircraft. (i.e Ability to make quick ww2 missions).
  25. Nice spot.
