  1. There is also the issue of documentation, because afaik there is no publicly available documentation on the JA-37 radar and maybe other systems too.
  3. It's actually pretty simple. In fact it works exactly the the same as CPTR TGT, except that you don't designate the target itself, but an offset, the so called IP. Where you put the IP is totally up to you. It should be some recognizable landmark though, like a recorgnizable building (e.g. a tower or a bridge) or a road intersection or a recognizable coastal feature. It has no direct impact on how you approach the target, although it makes sense to set up the IP in the direction from where you want to approach the target. It's not a must though.
  4. I think it will fit in very well in Fox1 based 80s scenarios and multiplayer servers like Buddyspike Blue Flag 80s or Enigma Cold War where it will have to compete against Sparrow equipped aircraft or less (the F-16 for example only even has Sidewinders in a 80s/ early 90s scenario).
  5. I find CMPT IP better suited for low level loft attacks as you don't have to visually acquire the target that way and thus don't have to expose yourself prior to bomb release.
  6. The AIM-54A needs to be commanded to go pitbul by the Tomcat radar. If the contact is lost before pitbull then this command won't get send to the missile and the missile is trashed. The AIM-54C on the other hand goes pitbull on its own when the contact is lost.
  7. How is that supposed to work as the carrier is a moving object with no fixed coordinates? That wasn't a thing for most of the Tomcat's service time.
  8. Das ist generell so bei jeglichem Gen3-Fighter im Vergleich zu jeglichem Gen4-Fighter mit FlyByWire.
  9. I'm not able to reproduce these issues. Please make a bug report thread for each issue with a short track replay for each that depicts the issue.
  10. I did, which was the reason for my non-serious answer as there is no way to check the waypoints anymore after ejection
  11. Our F-15C has AMRAAMS, so what are you talking about?
  12. As the WSO in a multicrewd Strike Eagle you have to request control authority from the pilot player. The default keybind for this is C.
  13. Can you please clearly explain what exactly is broken on the F-15C module? If possible please also add short track replays showing the issues.
  14. The issue also exists on the F-15E and is easily reproducible there as you can just go into a steep dive to overspeed the wings to rip one of them off at which point the aircraft gets declared "dead" and disappears from the F10 map even though the aircraft is still flyable. I attached a very short track depicting this issue. F15E invisible.trk
  15. That might be a bug then, because afaik ejection from the aircraft should not erase the markpoints. As far as I know an ejection should only erase the IFF cyphers.

  20. I'm no authority on this, but I personally don't think this is a bug. I'm no real pilot either, but just like @davidrbarnette said, I can't imagine that it is possibly IRL to trim out a no FBW aircraft 100% perfectly due to how dynamic everything is, starting with constantly changing wind and turbulences.
  21. Hmm, wie steht's denn mit "Simpit"? Ist das ok? Falls nicht, soll es dann lieber "Simcockpit", "Simulationscockpit" oder noch ganz anders heißen?
  22. F-16s and F/A-18s suffer from jamming just like the F-15E does. That's the very purpose of jamming. This is not a bug, but a feature. If you don't want to get jammed, shoot down the jammer (if he's hostile), ask him to tun off his jammer (if he's friendly) or point your radar in a different direction.
  23. Because the F-16 doesn't display jamming as bars, but as yellow chevrons (like a US Army corporal rank insignia).
  24. It would be great if we could add lines from the mission editor map to the TSD (through the data cartridge). I have a lot of use for lines, like phase lines or (unit) boundary lines. Afaik the real apache has the ability to load such pre-planned lines from the data cartridge and display them on the TSD. Would be really cool to have that in DCS as well.
  25. Aviastorm Weihnachts-Update
