looks gorgeous, I look forward to flying her .. in fact I purchased the 339 mostly to support the Gina development, as I already had two trainers in my hangar.

Hello, I saw the log file but the Sa342 seems to be loaded properly ... earlier you say that the problem is "Now I can no longer find SA 342 in DCS settings" ... exactly what do you mean? Do you not see this: Also, you seem to have an awful lot of User Mods loaded ... does the problem still remains if you disable your User Mods?

Weather mod v17 for DCS
Rudel_chw replied to bandit648's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
you need to load one of the new presets … and if you lent the mission to someone else, he wont see the same weather you do unless he also loads the Mod.- 312 replies

yes, but why quote a post of mine from 4 years ago? This change on the tooltips happened over 4 months ago and it was reported here:

Well, the Hawk section of the forum is now no longer there, but your version doesn't matches my memory: it was the third party the one that suddenly left, not ED kicking them out: https://stormbirds.blog/2018/11/25/veao-ceasing-dcs-world-development/ The thing is, would I spend my time making missions for Modules that may not last? .. or would I spend it on Modules that I might enjoy longer? To me the answer is pretty obvious and has nothing to do with being optimistic or not. Once the issue started, I stopped making missions for the Strike Eagle and opted to fly the Viggen instead, it simply made sense. Fully agree, life really is too short, we have to enjoy it to the full while we can. Greetings to you too, have a truly happy Xmas alongside your loved ones.

I could venture a diagnostic if more data were available, maybe you could attach your last dcs.log file?
-
Probably because its the only precedent of a third party breaking up with ED? For me, the only difference is that with the VEAO "issue" I lost one DCS Module, it's still on my account but I can't fly it anymore, while with the Razbam issue I'm risking 4 modules to be in the same situation (not sure about the SA map, as its real developer seems to still be maintaining it).

The forced nvidia GFexperience update didn’t work well on my PC, so I uninstalled it and now use just the driver, while for video recording I switched to the Steam overlay, in spite that my DCS is not the Steam version. It works pretty well, only downside is an export step needed if I want to upload a video to YT.

If you are not reinstalling the Windows of your laptop, then you just need to move the folder with the DCS program files, its standard path is C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\ Your bindings will still be safely saved at your /Saved Games/ folder. Now, if you do intend to reinstall windows, then you will need a backup of your whole /Saved Games/ folder, to restore on your new windows, plus will need to rename the binding files because the new windows will have changed the USB identifications of your Hotas.

TM Cougar & CH magnetoresistive/ hall sensor kits

its really nice to see that you are still around, I was kind of worried about your health. Greetings -
the hardware requirements of windows 10 are the same as those of Windows 8.1 … wouldn’t be easier to just upgrade to windows 10?

I just pretend that my mission takes place on 1976 and I’m on a chilean F-5E with analog everything and a fuel meter to help me manage my fuel consumption. And I’m happy flying old school, for a more modern aircraft I fly the Viper instead and set the mission date to 2006 or later. It serves to appreciate the progress aviation made on 30 years.

this is valuable information, wish more users were so positive

same, I have it on pdf too. yes, I use Kneeboard Builder to convert from pdf to png. here is a link to the converted files https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ai6cuX3YQI26icRbduINM-4V9VIhfg on the new F-5 the charts appear after the aircraft’s pages. never used that, so I cant tell.

For me it works at \Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\F-5E-3 (no "aircraft")

Easy-to-use Lua Console now included in DCS-BIOS
Rudel_chw replied to FSFIan's topic in Mission Editor
I had to return the DCS to its standard path C:\program files\eagle dynamics\dcs world … only then the dcs-bios installer recognized it. not me, sorry. -
Seems I will have to fly DCS for as long as possible, and then regrettably move over to another Sim ... there is one where I can fly the SR-71 and the Avro Vulcan, that looks very promising as I enjoy more the flight than the combat part of the Sim.

I have to agree, I believe that ED is shooting themselves in the foot with this one. I'm no skinner, but I would have loved to edit a few training missions for this bird, but having the ModelViewer unable to open the cockpit shape file, and thus unable to learn which cockpit argument does what, killed all my interest on devoting time to this new F-5 .. I'd rather dedicate the time to an older Module, like the MiG-21
