  1. A time limited key would be a nice idea as a demo. I've no idea how much work it would be for ED to manage that though.
  2. Voice work isn't exactly high on ED's list, after all, Wags makes up a lot of the English V/O! :) It's not just female voices needed, but just more voices in general for all the core V/O work like ATC and common comms.
  3. There's no asset. There's 2 steps: You set up a zone. You set up a trigger and action that causes a flare in the zone. I've attached a simple test mission for 1.5 (Caucasus/Black Sea map) where the first trigger is to create smoke + illumination flare at the airport 5 seconds after mission start. Start Trigger Test.miz
  4. Is it related to this? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195078
  5. I posted a bug thread for 2.0 in mid-august about this change in functions: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=192267 FWIW, this has happened previously too. ED did eventually fix it.
  6. The short answer is yes, it's a must have. The longer answer is: Not currently, but it will be as more stuff on the list is implemented.
  7. Incorrect on the latter part, sort of. See CptSmiley's / RagnarDa's F-16 EFM demo project for a non SDK EFM. As they explain in the blurb, the SDK does however give access to more under the hood stuff that's not in the public API, which allows you to make much higher fidelity ASM+EFM. Back on the topic of actual red aircraft: Hopefully the Mig-23 is brewing somewhere due to previous events as I'd like to see it. I'd however really like to see a full fidelity MiG-29 of some description. Even a really early one would be quite a nice addition imo.
  8. I hear Bothan's are bit rare these days...
  9. You don't really need a profile tbh. It takes about 5 mins at most to set up the X-55 for use with the F-5, there's not that many functions you really need.
  10. There's already one, the Insurgants.
  11. There's a couple of mod teams working on it, both referenced in this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=103799&page=10
  12. The team typically gives updates only once/month.
  13. Wings, ECM (see the tusks on the RAF birds), extra pylons...just off the top of my head.
  14. Don't think I explained it well enough: It's been around as a planned project for 4 years, doesn't mean they've done anything else on it barring some initial 3d modelling + data gathering. They totally might have, but they also might have not. Here is a thought: Would you spend your time/money/resources creating a high quality 3d model and textures, when you've got an unknown delay on the systems and flight model + plenty of other projects you can do and complete in the mean time? It's a PFM. It'll be as complex as the F/A-18C's will be, hence the delays caused by not having the needed data.
  15. They'll see the default skin for the country the aircraft is using in the mission.
  16. They're in the other thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190159&page=29
  17. The post being 4 years ago doesn't show it doesn't need another 1-2 years either :) The OP was made when the Kickstarter was live and the plane set was announced & ED certainly didn't start it there and then.
  18. It's probably also why the newer versions with chin turrets are packing dual 23mm cannons instead of the 12.7 rotary.
  19. I'd guess it'd be after they finish the KS mandated aircraft (P47 and Me262). If it comes before then, it's a bonus.
  20. Yeap, need to unlock the pump handle first. If the joystick assignment works without unlocking, might be a bug there tbh.
  21. It has to. As you already know, one of the biggest issues with gunplay is being able to absolutely muller an AI and see them carry on/go home without a care in the world. Bringing out a new DM system and not applying it to every flying aircraft (player or AI) would defeat the point of it.
  22. Depends on your point of view. Is having unrealistic scratches realistic? :)
  23. SC's thing is nice, but it's also tied into their wider FPS section which DCS doesn't have. That said, for the flightsim side of it, it gets a bit tedious doing it every time when you're doing nothing more than walking, pressing use and waiting for animations to finish. Wouldn't mind it, but I'd probably only use it when new modules launch, and then turn in a "start in cockpit" option if one was available for the rest of the time.
  24. I see this less of a wish, and more of the bug thread. The lights in DCS should already illuminate the aircraft.
  25. Yeeeeesssss. Also good to see the module is finally in a stage where refinement is happening over new feature development. Really looking forward to this one now.
