TM Warthog throttle mouse axis problem on TV
firefox121 replied to grim_reaper68's topic in Bugs and Problems
For me , working solution is pressing (or assign) one of the keybindings used to move the viviane(.,) and then you can use the axis without problem. If the viviane gets stuck again, same procedure, pres for example (.) key in my bindings and the use the axis again. -
You should see this(see picture), the current version is : 113 .2304. 14003.0 If you select use best framerate speed will be able to see the two options below, Disable blah blah nvidia blah RTX" and "prefer fps over latency"....this is likewise turbo mode on in OXR toolkit. So if you chek this, disable turbo mode on at OXR toolkit. If not...shutters will come again
-
The motion reprojection works linked to OXR toolkit if you have installed it... What Motion Reprojection does is to adjust your framerate to your latency (it should be 10 or less), If the latency goes over 10ms starts working to adjust frames to 1/2, 1/3 your mhz render...so if you are running , for example your HMD (mine is reverb G2) at 90mhz refresh rate, when mr goes on instead of seeing 90fps I am going to see 45 fps (but smooth) if the system still is not capable of reach a steady 45 fps , mr would down to 30fps... There is a lot of info in all the internet...but basically works like that....full fps, 1/2 fps or 1/3 fps.... To control Motion Reprojection from OXR developer tools: Tip : You must set at OXR toolkit the motion reprojection to default in order to use the motion reprojection from oxr tools. Then in oxr tools you have two best using options : -Disabled : no more words....will try to use the best from GPU, if your rig is not powerful enough it will travel from 90 to 45 or less causing spikes , shuttering etc -Use best framerate speed .... it will work as intended... if the gpu are not capable to reach 90fps will use 45 fps...so all will be smooth. If the gpu can't reach 45 fps will drop to 30 fps - check , the option "prefer fps over latency" works like turbo mode on at OXR toolkit, but , for me at least, better. With this options , in my rig, see specs below, I can manage solid 45fps with a great great clarity on graphics and smooth experience. Another way is turning off motion Reprojection at OXR developer tools and play with OXR toolkit options... Personally I find better to use OXR developer tools. But it is your choice. Hope this help you.

Can the Reverb G2 controllers be configured under OpenXR?
firefox121 replied to Bowman-011's topic in Virtual Reality
Just works by default, enable hands controllers on VR tab and play with it, assign at ui controls some keybind to show/hide hands, some modules works with direct finger touch, others need to be configured with pointer -
Yes, as I said above, try to have speech recognition on in WMR settings and follow my thread here

Tonight, making some trials, trying to find the exact parameter to change hud color, realised that if I disable the super Mod created by taz1004 named clear glass, I am able to see the HUD like it should be, not need of sun visor, now I must to choose between framerate or see f15's HUD.... I fly Vr always so...will try without the mod ..... and see if I can play over 45fps
-
Be sure that you have not under the g2 mixed reality environment, you can disable it by pressing Windows key + Y , so if it is disabled you won't see a blue line across your monitor (not HMD) in the top. If you see the blue line otherwise you are able to give orders to your headset like "flashlight on" that enables the passtrough.. see my post here... Feel free to send me a PM if you need more help. With your rig you will need a bit of tuning, but for me, at least IMHO,The reverb G2 is a good headset ..... I would like to try pico 4 (has the same resolution) or the new meta 3 headset coming at the end of this year...but for now other solutions are too expensive

If you have an axis binded to the throttle, try to move it to be able DCS recognize it, sometimes happens to my winwing orion throttle, but moving the axis binded to the throttle in a minimum way makes it to reach the correct position. Can't remember if I have checked in dcs options tab control sync.

noob quiestion.. If I define in the app the foru presets, remains in each preset the values that I have saved, but If I try to launch the app with any other preset than default the updater says error, cannot write same file...and does not launch. Only with Default preset launch well. What am I doing wrong?

It works only in some modules (mostly dcs modules). You must have the ultraleapprogram active... If you see your hands in the cockpit then the device is working. Is difficult to point and click, at my experience your hand finger must go from backwards to front till reaching the button you want to push. Try the f-18 module, is the most friendly with leapmotion. Also install the last ultraleap gemini drivers and put the dll inside the bin-mt folder and inside the bin folder also Also you must have of course the device mounted in your headset. To rotate knobs actually is a bit complicated because the pinch function is not implemented, so you must reach the knob with your idex from below and move the hand left or right. Its is a bit tricky

I would like a way to change the hud color (I know it is not super realistic) but, flying the bird in VR, even turning down gamma makes very difficult to see the hud against clear sky, blue sky or clouds

For me, see my specs, it performs better than ah-64 and even better than f-16 i-10850k Hp Reverb G2 MSI rtx 3080 ti 64 gb ram, running on win 10 and ssd WMR tools 80%, use best framerate disable rtx acel optic blah blah and prefer fps over latency ticked in OXRtoolkit all default except cas 80% and turbo mode OFF, Steady and smoothing 45 fps.....

SA-342 Gazelle 2023 "FM" Update
firefox121 replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
How did you change the fuel amount? You must do it for example at a generated mission, is a know bug that in-game crew request does not works. Also see the amount of kgs, be sure that are below 100% -
SA-342 Gazelle 2023 "FM" Update
firefox121 replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
I found issues with the FM, the solution, or at least part of it for me has been uninstalling the module and installed it again, instant action at all the maps is broken, not loading weapons and the gazelle almost unflyable, but the two campaigns works fine, only have to enter each mission and select weapons before start flying and lower fuel almost to 50%, before enter the mission. At least works for me and can fly the chopper "more or less" like before. Hope this help, also the trim is a real pain in the ass, not working as expected. -

Tree points.... - Did you see the device in the plane control, at the axis window? if not try to press the rescan devices button down to the control window - Have you selected the axis submenu? - AFAIK the modifier button is used to change some behaviours while pressing this button and others, you must not use the axis....

Textures with different level of details in Huey cockpit?
firefox121 replied to lwalter's topic in DCS: UH-1H
Maybe you have selected medium Graphics at options DCS Main menu. If you changed settings to achieve more performance, medium graphics do this to all the cockpit instruments, something related to mipmaps think.... -
Controls Assignment problems found after OB 2.8.6.40166
firefox121 replied to hannibal's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello, since last updates, I am having problems like this in two modules, F14 and Mig 15, I use a FFB sidewinder 2 joystick, and I found the same lag in my flight controls. This not happens if I turn off FFB at options window. After a long research in the sim community , I have found a dll that stored at the two main bin and bin-mt folders solved my lag. Maybe you can use this too. Here you can finf it and try https://github.com/l3VGV/FixFFBStutterH if this solves that delay. Is more noticeable flying this modules with ffb option active. -
How to center the mouse cursor in the VR view?
firefox121 replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Virtual Reality
Ok, that's because you are running JoystickGremlim yet, is not my situation, but good point. In my "defense" must say that is a good solution for those that are not using JoystickGremlim , also joytokey is a small small app, it only took 3mb amount of memory and has zero impact in CPU usage. -
How to center the mouse cursor in the VR view?
firefox121 replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Virtual Reality
for me is easy to use joytokey and assign a button to center Simply choose what button you want to use , and assign this params to the button, and voilá, when you press the button the mouse centers itself, the values are 50,00 and 50,00 no matter your screen resolution. r mouse.....works perfect. -
need more info Cannot remove trim from pedals
firefox121 replied to Armored_Sheep's topic in Bugs and Problems
If you have selected in Apache options "pedals without springs and ffb? in flight , despite you press the trim button and the trim red line at the indicators window, you will see that if you release the pedals and set them in other position, for example center, the white dot returns with you and does not stay at the red line indicator, so, is not really trimmed there. make the test, and you will see that pedals have the authority over the heli while you keep them at the position you force with your legs, at the moment you change the position the heli will response to the new input, so if you center them, the helo will start rolling to his natural behaviour. And the white dot will move like the real position. If you force "instant trim at pedals (ffb friendly) at options, the white dot will remain at the trimmed position , even if you center the pedals, but when you use again them , the will start acting from the trimmed position. My point is that with the last option (pedals without springs and ffb) selected, if you have not springs, leaving them where you want the pedals will act as you want you can see the white indicator where you left the pedals and the red no changing at all till you press/release force trim again to set your stick . So the indicators that have control over the apache surfaces are the white ones......(the red ones are to remember those who have not ffb joysticks where they left his controls) in my rig I also fly the apache with a sidewinder ffb so...I have no need of the red cross as my joy also remains where I left it, I am thinking on removing the springs from my saitek combat rudder pedals and see if I can handle them. -
missing track file performance drop in apache
firefox121 replied to Raven434th's topic in Bugs and Problems
There is a mod that redraws the cockpit, so you don`t loose graphic quality but remains fps high, you must enable medium in second dcs graphics option and is a huge fps saver. Try it here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321192/ -
I found an easy way ro reduce the wobbly centering issue in the sidewinder FFB2 joystick, I put a velcro cutout soft face between the gimbal and the sidewinder skeleton , so when you move the joy it stands where you left it with almost no wobbly feeling, I attach a photo to illustrate what I am saying.....is a game changer so SAS no more loses authority because of the little movements induced to the stick. So in this way, and with the app simffb the joy remains with no wobbly movement. At least till DCS finds a slider option
