  1. Yup I'm having this issue also. Really hoping this doesnt take long to fix as its pretty severe.
  2. I have a similar problem with mine where if i want to coolie-left long it ends up executing a quick series of coolie-left short instead (3-4 times). Coolie-right long has no problems. Dont want to hijack the thread or anything but just found it interesting that someone else is also having a problem with coolie-left long on the TM Warthog.
  3. Funny enough, i was just thinking about this yesterday and was going to make a thread. Any info about voice comms would be appreciated.
  4. Where can 2.8 be downloaded? The links in the first post are pointing to 2.7 Great campaign by the way, just getting started and already loving it!
  5. This bug happens to me also. To test: 1. Start DCS with the FLOLS option already disabled. 2. Enter mission 3. Commence landing procedure on any Supercarrier module and wait for FLOLS overlay to appear automatically when behind the ship 4. Go to options and enable FLOLS overlay (FLOLS will still be visisble) 5. Disable FLOLS overlay without exiting options (FLOLS will dissapear) My guess is the option is not taking effect from mission start and is defaulting to the FLOLS overlay being enabled, regardless of what is configured in the options.
  6. My usual flow on a new aircraft or after returning from a long break is: 1. Training 2. Instant Action (To get proficient with what I've trained on) 3. Missions (To start tying things together) 4. Campaigns
  7. Can also confirm this is still a problem
  8. I forget which thread it was in but ED already commented that they are looking into why the cloud setting changes are not taking effect in VR.
  9. @BIGNEWY I'll be fresh installing as opposed to updating since i dont currently have DCS installed on this rig. Is there any way to know for sure if im downloading 2.5 or 2.7? I noticed this section of the site still states 2.5, will this be updated to say 2.7? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/ I'm trying to avoid waiting for the download to complete, only to find out I downloaded 2.5 instead of 2.7 Thanks in advance.
  10. As PB0_CEF mentioned, there are some user made attempts at a dynamic campaign and some are actually pretty decent. ED is also working on a true, built-in dynamic campaign, hopefully coming in the near future.
  11. I noticed this recently too, wasnt sure if it was specific to me only. Can anyone from ED confirm what the correct behaviour is and if there were any recent changes?
  12. I don't think the way it's done in DCS right now is correct because you see terrain appearing very unnaturally. Looks like a game limitation or something that still needs to be fixed.

  14. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with DCS that ED is planning on fixing. As Emmy mentioned it only affects player flown aircraft.
  15. It has been like this forever. We're waiting on ED to fix this.
  16. That's a good point. There's no wind compensation on the pipper in that video
  17. Not quite. If your scope is zeroed to 1000m then your impact point will only match your crosshair at 1000m (simplifying for the example). Aiming closer or further will change the impact point. With CCIP as long as you're "IN RNG" your impact point will match the center of the pipper (crosshair in the example above). In CCIP this is true even as you move closer to the target.
  18. It looks pretty similar to me but slightly less washed out as the one in DCS. That being said, it's difficult to judge correctly without knowing what the lighting/weather conditions were in the video and what the HUD rightness was set to. Not to mention that the video is a HUD tape recording and not the actual view of the HUD so there could be some differences there as well since DCS is trying to simulate the actual HUD.
  19. Well on that note we can agree, the AI does need a major overhaul, along with much of the DCS engine itself. The way I see it, the engine itself is limiting the AI's capabilities because so much stuff needs to be simplified in order to not bog down the game to basically 1FPS. If DCS were better optimized and able to take advantage of modern hardware an AI overhaul could be something we can hope for. And I do hope for it very much! But in the current state of things, I think the best we can hope for are to have specific bugs and little quirks fixed.
  20. Guys, regardless of how bad the AI is, the requirement for internal action has been defined. The development team needs a well defined specific issue that is demonstrated in a short track to be able to assign the case to the correct team and begin investigating the problem properly. This is not any different than anywhere else in the IT industry. This is how it is done. Either start a bug thread with the supplied track and description of the issue or be content to wait until the devs randomly stumble upon a fix for whatever problem is bugging you. I want to see AI improvements also, but just saying "The AI is dumb they do X Y and Z and it's not realistic" is not enough.
  21. You'll notice that even in just the main menu DCS is using 100% of the GPU. That's why you get the fans spinning so hard.
