  2. I just hope we dont get the first release of the Dynamic Campaign the same way we got Integrated Voice Comms. Basically, barebones and barely functioning, missing tons of features, and slapped together haphazardly. ED please take the time to get this working properly as much as possible before releasing it. Let it be a good representation of where the future of DCS is headed.

    My guess would be performance related. It's a shame, if only we could get reworked Engine/Code then DCS could really move to a whole other level. I'm very much looking forward to that day
  4. If your waypoint is the intended target then there is no need to "mark" it as a "Target" waypoint. Any waypoint, markpoint can have sensors slaved to them when selected. If your having trouble getting hits using CCRP then make sure your waypoint or markpoint are set at ground level on the target. Also, as a side note I rarely use the actual waypoint as the strike point unless there is no TGP available. If I have a TGP the flow is usually: 1. Slave TGP to waypoint/markpoint 2. Find target with TGP 3. Lase target, then TMS Long Up to set TGP aim point as SPI 4. Stop lase and then proceed with CCRP weapons delivery *Note about #3: lasing before setting SPI will be more accurate otherwise the TGP may set SPI on the ground behind the intended target If you dont have a TGP then ensure your waypoint (Target) is set at the correct elevation, otherwise CCRP drops will be off target

  6. Pilot body just gets in the way for me so I end up leaving it disabled. Would be interesting to have it automatically move the pilot leg or something depending on where you look or where the cursor is, but that would probably be something outside the scope of what the current DCS engine can do.
  7. This looks very interesting. I'm reading through the guides and documentation and have a couple questions: 1. What does the option "culling of distant units" do? 2. What does "SAM starts in RED alert mode" do?
  8. I mean, this whole thing is pretty simple. 1. Everything should be modeled as realistically as possible 2. Restrictions should be left to the mission designers

  11. I'm not able to complete the first mission. Both enemy aircraft stay invulnerable long after they first attack the Airshow. There is a track attached. This was my 3rd attempt at the mission, all with same results. I even made myself invincible during this last attempt and crashed into one of the aircraft, it stayed alive. Edit: Track too large to attach.

    I've always wanted something like this implemented, or at least a shadow that is cast wherever the cursor is (simulating putting your hand in the way to block the sun).

  14. I dont think the automatic switch is implemented yet. From what I understand, whatever conditions you start the mission on will be locked in regardless of what happens afterwards.
  15. It really is like looking through a straw and takes a lot of practice. Getting higher and farther will let you see more area. Also playing with the Gain on the FLIR can help hot objects stand out more against the background. Also try to get you head out of the cockpit, in many cases if you're already close and low in the search area you won't need the TGP and it will actually be more difficult than looking out with your own eyes. Lastly, you can always try out some of the label mods that provide a subtle dot label without making things too obvious to spot.

  17. Mower, if you can wait until September the HP Reverb G2 is looking very good and at a decent price. Alternatively, I'll also be selling my Rift S when the Reverb G2 releases if Mower or anyone else is interested.

  19. I noticed in the Campaign Description that it says: "As before it is a story-based Campaign following the exploits of "Ford". He is currently still stationed on the USS John C Stennis" Does this mean that this campaign does not use the Supercarrier?
  20. You can change the gama in game using the options menu. Don't need to quit, just pause the mission.
  21. Finally got a chance to get through all of the missions. Very well done, excellent job! Thanks for the hard work you put into this. Really looking forward to the rest of the campaign!
  22. Yeeah hopefully the next big thing is more bugfixes, more stability, and better FPS
