  1. Yes, in theory they sound like unrelated things, but people are grouping them together, because for whatever reason Snap Views option needs to be enabled if one wants to fiddle with default cam position and FOV. Confusing but that's DCS for ya. This reminds me of camera lens effects that must be turned on as well if we want the sun to be rendered fully instead of a simple white dot on the sky.
  2. Well, the last thing that needs to be tried then is temporary removal of all custom mods and apps from Saved Games location, whether they are 109-related or not. You've got quite a few of these, judging from your log. Then launch the game and see what happens. Keep in mind that repair and cleanup procedure fixes the main game folder only, but does nothing to content in Saved Games folder at all, so if source of the problem is hidden somewhere there, it's going to be still there no matter how many times you're executing repair command.
  3. You better look around or ask in VKB section of the forum. I guess the problem might be VKB software-related. https://forum.dcs.world/forum/158-vkb-sim-flight-gear/ "Mainstream" products like Thrustmaster have their axes recognized automatically (I use two throttle separate quadrants from them). I believe VKB requires a bit more tinkering to configure it properly.
  4. ^ I presume players are usually OK with current 300 per gun as a weight and performance compromise suitable for various types of sorties, but technically, if ammo boxes in wings could be filled up o 425, we should be able to do so for, let's say, CAS missions every now and then. Granted, MTOW limit would indeed be an important factor, but that's what the sliders in loadout options are for.
  5. It's a bunch of dds files, so just take the ones you need and dump all the rest. For gunsight you need to use mark_II_base and mark_II_tick files, that I can confirm because I use exactly these on my PC. For armoured glass, I don't know, but looking at the filesnames, I'd first try to keep the ones with word "glass" in them and see what happens.
  6. Then stop acting like "believer" yourself. Nobody in this thread said DLSS gives better quality than raw rendering. We all know it comes at a price of some quality. But acceptable or "noticeable" quality reduction from using it is a personal preference and different for everyone, just like acceptable minimum framerate, or acceptable level of stuttering. You seem to be blind to that fact, though.
  7. Yup, looks like this skin's description.lua contains references to bomb fairing and tank files which are not there, neither in coremods, nor in skin folder. Should be easy to fix, unless @sticks_62nd, who is the author of the livery, would like to create and submit to ED custom blue textures for these components?
  8. C:/Users/(your Windows user name)/Saved Games/DCS World (or Openbeta)/Logs/. These are the ones needed for troubleshooting, but the latest ones should be dated according to the last time you played DCS.
  9. BN forwarded the info where needed, but just for the record (figuratively and literally), I've experienced recently an engine shudown sequence which took 38 (thirty eight) seconds of poppin' and bangin' (25+ pops per engine) after pulling shutoff plugs, with extra overpriming fire animation (?!) thrown in as a "cherry on top". Track below, recorded in current Open Beta. It's 28 min long so if anyone's still interested in watching, just fast forward to the end, it plays without desync (on my PC at least). One aspect which is consistent with Nealius' latest video above is the fact that my mission was set to winter conditions, like his. Looks like low temps must affect this problematic aspect of simulation somehow. 2.9_Mossie_test.trk
  10. As Kerosene noted above, it's most likely caused by some custom mod located in Saved Games (remember that repair command checks only the main game folder but doesn't check Saved Games location!)
  11. Post your DCS logs from both PCs. We can't troubleshoot without them.
  12. It's still there to some extent, but honestly, it's visible only when panels are hidden in shadow, so it's not such a big deal really. Thanks for your efforts anyway! Maybe time of day has an impact as well (I do these test flights in default Chanel cold start mission).
  13. Sid, If that's really the case, you're the first guy who reports it for MT then. In either case, devs can't do anything without your dcs logs. Zip and post them here so that they can take a look and investigate further.
  14. Granted, FAQ doesn't literally say naval version (whichever gets chosen) is going to be a separate product, but that's most plausible scenario.
  15. Enable snapviews in misc. options and then use keypad to move and save new cam position. Details here:
  16. Thanks for taking time to photo and upload them. Have you posted these at Combat Pilot forum as well? Jason's team might find them useful for their project too. EDIT: B5N file seems to be locked, could you please make it public? EDIT2: B5N archive is accessible now, thank you.
  17. You can experiment, but as noted above, chances that it will work are rather low. By default if it's an SP campaign, it can be played only on a single PC at a time using one set of login credentials. Converting missions to be MP compatible could work possibly (?), but payware campaign missions are usually locked and can't be tinkered with.
  18. For what it's worth, page 4-23 of the 1960 F-86F manual explains that dot and circle pipper layout was a feature of an early A-1CM gunsight, while later A-4 unit had the circle replaced with 10 diamonds. DCS Sabre is a late, post-Korean War version and thus is equipped with the latter gunsight model.
  19. ^ How else do you want them to finance further development, though? Subscription is off limits, increasing cost of all the modules globally is not great too. Selling individual packs sounds like the best compromise to me. I don't care about modern units, so will settle with lower detail ones just fine, but at the same time I'm OK with paying for more vintage units, as this is where my main interest is. Everyone will purchase strictly what he's after.
  20. Yes, there is a thread about it in 2.9 bugs section of the forum. On player-controlled planes, it's reported to be caused by playing in single-threaded mode rather than multi-threaded. Unlikely to be fixed given the fact that ST is to be unsupported and discontinued in near future. Don't remember if the same solution works for AI planes, though. Not at my PC to check right now.
  21. What settings ? It's just ON and that's it. Seriously though, I'm 1440p pancake player, so my options would not help you I'm afraid. Sharpening on 0, 'cause I don't use DLSS anyway. I don't own any modern jet modules so can't comment on panels, HUDs and all these gadgets. There's some ghosting on steam gauges and planes flying around, but it's acceptable for me. Heads up, though, you might want to try dll library for DLSS provided by NVidia. Apparently it's newer version than the one implemented by ED in current DCS and some guys report ghosting reduction when they use this one instead of original. As always, keep a backup just in case. Details here:
  22. I guess once FlyingIron guys are done with their A-7 project for DCS, they'll see how it sells and re-evaluate if going for third software platform was profitable enough for them. Maybe they'll think about porting their Lightning to DCS then? We can only wait and see, with fingers crossed.
  23. Release plans/estimates longer than 1-2 months in advance are irrelevant and can be safely ignored because as history of DCS shows, they're pretty much never met, either by ED themselves, or by 3rd parties. So that Happy New Year quote from 2022 is pointless really. New "teaser" details, however, are always interesting insight into future plans of the developer. I can also see how people are more excited about Su-17, as it's the only aircraft from Octopus-G lineup which makes sense in current form of DCS. Mind you, I understand the Russian warbirds are Plexus' labour of love and clearly there's tons of highest quality effort put in them, but even though I'm a warbird enthusiast myself, I'm pretty sure "Fitter" module will outsell all his warbird modules combined.
  24. Marketing gag or not, for some players it did bump framerate enough NOT to have to buy next overpriced NV cards anytime soon and that in itself makes it worth it. But, as "there's no free lunch", some visual degradation is always a price to pay. It's all subjective - for some guys it's OK to play at 30-few fps as long as eyecandy is up. I don't understand it but hey, you do you. Just like i don't understand folks who just MUST have 120+ fps and are willing to settle for compromised visuals to get there. But it's their personal preference so - none of my business in the end. I don't use DLSS (yet), 'cause I'm still keeping my head above the 60-surface in simple missions. Will see how it goes once I start playing Reflected's campaigns. I did embrace DLAA, however, which finally killed everlasting shimmering in DCS once and for all, while not sinking my framerate like MSAA did.
