Hello, If you start your aircraft from a hangar in airfield 1 and fly to airfield 2 then stop the engine for repair, after you start the jet the pre-loaded INS coordinates point to the hangar in airfield 1. How to store this location before shutting down the jet? So that I do not lose where I was before the shutdown.

I haven't tested it but if it is true, then it is really a bug @BIGNEWY. I don't think that such simple and important issue would be left to pilots while the onboard systems can just read the correct time precisely, while our simplest watches can do it as well.

Yes you are right. I was starting 15:00 in Syria and get 12:00 always.

I think stations 3 and 7 should also be limited to 2 mavericks. The blast of the 3rd maverick on LAU-88 risks damaging the tail stabilator. However it was installed and tested back then. Never seen combat operation as far as I know. -
The time shown on the DED page does not match the time of the mission by default. Manual setting is doable but one cannot ensure synchronization with multiple clients. The best way is to match the aircraft time with mission time during the startup.

I just wonder what is the estimated date that we get this function. Since the SPI logic has seen some renewal, would be nice to share target locations with wingmen.

Okay I found the solution as applying two conditions with OR : (-180 -35) OR (35 180) -> end mission

Hello, I want to trigger mission end if the player bank angle is more than 35 degrees left and right. There is a condition "unit's bank in limits" I can set this to -35 +35 but the trigger will fire while already in that range. How to invert this logic? How can I employ this as "unit's bank outside limits"? Thanks!

I find it hard to believe that we still have problems with most-widely used missile in the digital combat simulator. But we do still have problems with most-widely used missile in the digital combat simulator. I have hard times killing 3rd gen fighters if I don't support the missile until pitbull. Well I can already hear some of members here saying "of course you can not complain if you break the lock early". But these missiles in real life are much much smarter and lethal than they are in DCS. And I see that notching in DCS today became a god-like protection. This isn't how physics work. It isn't just the doppler shift zero velocity issue. There is still reflection and lots of valuable information in it. The missile will try lots of things, it has a memory, datalink and will do various estimations. -
During free events we have the chance to try all modules. So I decided to take a look at A-10C section to see which weapons are available and check aircraft properties. Unfortunately I couldn't see much at first glance. I am 99.99% sure that it exists somewhere I can not find right away. I believe that new users must not be ignored. Since everyone knows what the A-10C is, and what weapons it can carry; the wiki part is pretty much forgotten. One might say go and check Chuck's guides. Chuck's guides are fantastic but I know nothing about his work if I am a newcomer. Here is my suggestion: Pin a topic to every module section that contains wiki-like summary information for each aircraft. Of course one can read about MiG-23 on the Wikipedia, but there are 10+ MiG-23 variants in real life. I am talking about the information about the DCS: MiG-23. Let's say we go to F-16 section. I would like to see a pinned topic "DCS: F16-C Aircraft summary" 4th gen multirole fighter. Crew: 1 Wingspan: 10 meters Weight: 10000 kg Operating countries: .... Fuel capacity: ... Then comes the important part: Armament Aim-9m: Heatseeker short range missile Aim-9x: Heatseeker short range missile with improved guidance CBU-97: Cluster bomb Mk-82: Unguided bomb AGM-154A: Standoff glidebomb (not implemented yet) Of course this is just a fast written post, the contents of the summary topics should be broader and more understandable. Just to change the skin or tail number you must click ok, which triggers rearm/refuel too. It would be nice to add another button for just skin change approval.

Now I know why this was happening. In VR, the mouse pointer does not match the hovered coordinates shown at the top-left. Probably there is a ghost mouse (mismatch between vr and monitor or maybe even with desktop). Reading today the newsletter, I hope that it gets fixed soon. -

Probably this thread about FLCS goes ignored also, but I will keep asking because the flight model and the takeoff-landing physics are the most important thing to me in a simulator. More than any weapon system. In order to understand your airplane better, your airplane should not lie to you. Here I would like to note that current flight model isn't terrible. People can live with that and ED can just go on with other things. But: Please see the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPn4iBCI9Mo Before the takeoff roll the nose will pitch up and down depending on brakes and thrust. See the part just before takeoff. Similar to MiG-29 in DCS. During the slow speed + high AoA + high rate rolls you can see the angular momentum and adverse yaw effects. Beginning of the roll - end of the roll. See 7:35-7:50 Also please reduce the scripted behavior in flight model and prefer more advanced numerical based solutions applied together with FLCS. I really enjoyed every moment watching this video and thinking about the flight model of the Viper. I really really hope that our Viper flight model in DCS evolves to this.

Same thing happened to all of us while flying on our MP server. The air temp was -8, no winds, snowing, mild turbulence. Almost half of us experienced the jet is violently pitching up/down, which would never happen in real life. It was totally extraordinary shaking.

I fully support the idea of Airfield Assets Pack. I have not much interest in "Cold War" or "Post Cold War" Ground Forces Set but I believe that's interesting for many of us here. About drive-able tanks and other things similar to CA; this is a different dimension. People here in this forum today are 99% fliers. I can assure you that they won't be interested in tanks that much. BUT STILL, there are lots of tank gamers outside of this community and they are more than us in numbers. Tanks games are being played more than flight simulators because they can be played in its full potential with just keyboard and mouse. HOTAS, TrackIR, VR sets and pedals are not something that kids can buy. All these equipment aren't used in student dormitories. But kids and students can buy tank sims and just play. In that sense, I believe that a good quality army simulation is the key to expand this community and its target market.

INS should have nothing to do with disappearing symbols on the datalink. But yes it IS broken. We fly every week with friends and we ALWAYS have some problem with datalink. Sometimes DL works for all of us, then after 5 minutes nothing works, another 7 minutes and some people's DL works. This is bugged since it was introduced...

We flew muticrew putting up various targets around the airport. Aiming with the guns is real fun in VR :) However the pilot should be quite steady and smooth. Guns are powerful

There is problem with Incirlik. See my post above. Incirlik strangely does not belong to any sides. It stays neutral. However the flights are generated. I hope it gets fixed soon. -
Trying pop-up attack on a known position. We flew ~100nm and tried pop-up attack on certain coordinates. The STPT location was shifted about 100 meters from the original location. We are sure that we marked the exact location, including the elevation but then when we traveled there for the attack it was not precise location. I dont have time to provide video or track file but keep in mind to investigate this.

In fact it is already dead, but it needs some time to get the actual destruction. I forgot to mention that it does not get destroyed immediately. It will explode like fireworks for some time.

Using default VR settings, when the datalink activates the missile screen I see blank textures on the screen. This is probably because of distant location being undrawn. Which graphics setting should I increase in the options?
