  1. From what I can see ED is running a sale on steam.
  2. ALT+ENTER? Did you try that while in game, in the cockpit that is? Long load times could be windoze defender or some such anti-virus/anti-malware app, add an exception for the DCS folder.
  3. "File does not exist" issue trying to add images to the briefing and also the same "file does not exist" for sound files that I have used right up until this update. You can see the files but you can't use them. Done all the usual stuff to fix, problem persists.
  4. Very helpful, thanks boss.
  5. No it doesn't make sense, but I will have a go at it anyway. See pics on assigning TACAN to tanker using the mission editor. While flying a mission if the mission creator does not give you the tankers TACAN (In the briefing for example) I know of no way you can get it.
  6. Check that these options are not ticked and then try flying again.
  7. Your first problem is game mode I reckon, I read somewhere it's borked atm.
  8. Yeah that works for me.
  9. Lol, yeah, feel kinda lost without it.
  10. Yeah George is a bit suicidal atm, his wife left him for a younger man apparently.
  11. This video explains it pretty well.
  12. I use rshft+space seems to work. There is also ralt+\, I dont use that one though.
  13. Not the F-18, that works fine. I haven't flown the A-10c in a long time so I am not sure about that one.
  14. I have sync controls on, at the start of a flight I have to move the TM throttles to idle and back to off to make them work the power levers from off to idle.
  15. Check your bindings ,maybe that's the problem, this is what works for me.
  16. George is still in training, hopefully he will become more skilled over time.
  17. You will be fine, just do it, well worth it.
  18. You will, if you persevere. When I first jumped into the blackshark many centuries ago I thought I will never ever be able to fly the thing, now I don't think about too much when flying, in fact if I am flying a long flight I read books to pass the time. When I first jumped into the Apache I thought I was going to have to be hands on all the time, no more books, but after a bit of time, I was flying along to a waypoint, trimmed out, inputting a targets point into the TSD, head down until I was done. Wags was right, this chopper is easy to fly, but i didn't think that at first.
  19. One thing the MI-8 teaches you is not to rush anything and stay relaxed, when you start tensing up things go left fast, so I am having no problems slowing down and keeping everything under control for the most part, but its all slow measured inputs. I do it this way and it seems to be the best way to do it, I watch the thingy on the right side that shows whether you are going up or down (can't think of it's name right now). So basically pull back on the stick, gently, the thingy on the right side shows climb, trim, wait for the thingy on the right side to reach the center as you drop the collective, gently, pull back some more, trim, drop collective, wait for center, check speed, and so on and so forth until you reach 0kts.
  20. This happened to me as well, in nevada especially.
  21. I just added some friction to my WH throttle and that made it less twitchy. I have the 3d printed detent installed which stops at 101 without adjusting curves which leaves me with the full range and if I need more power I just push past the detent.
  22. I was also a little lost on it at first, I very rarely use the controls indicator on any airframe but this time it helped me understand what the trim was doing. As Zergburger says it doesn't work like the KA-50 and that I think is screwing with many peoples mind. The KA-50 trim is like a sledge hammer, the apaches one is more like a feather duster.
  23. Bind a key/button (easiest way) for the tail wheel and then taxi in a straight line while holding the button down until the unlock light goes off then release the button, works like a charm. Watch the video Tepnox posted, its informative.
