MFG Crosswind with "combat" pedal pads (heels on floor) and damper kit will be perfect for helicopters, as the hydraulic damper allow the pedal keep the last position. https://mfg-sim.com/en/MFG -Blog/news/new-combat-footrests-hydraulic-damper-mods Slaw Devices have RH ROTOR Rudder Pedals, that include brake pads (3 axes) and allow hydraulic damper installation.

Looks like that the firmware flashed in Black Box don't have profile for T-Rudder standalone, may the previous owner use the pedal integrated with Gf MCG PRO. You need look though VKB DevCFG software what version of firmware was flashed in Black Box. https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=blackbox-usb-controller-firmware-t-link-profile And take pictures of DevCFG tabs like in the topic bellow, for allow VKB staff help you - in their forum. http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?t=3702

You can even fit T-Rudder upside down at 90º and have a "pendular" movement rudder - moving more front<>back (instead default down<>up), someone did this. https://imgur.com/a/GPpqno1

TM Cougar & CH magnetoresistive/ hall sensor kits
Sokol1_br replied to rel4y's topic in Thrustmaster
Just 4 simple tactile switches like the ones you get in Digikey, Aliexpress, but more "heavy" to operate than non military grade switch. -
They are OEM versions made using the same plastic injection molds of VKB Gladiator MK.I, that are owned by Asian-Games Taiwan and not by VKB, and Defender Cobra M5 and Gametrix ECS throttles - controllers developed at 10+ years ago by VKB to be sold in Russian market under local hardware distributors brands, discontinued at years. But since the Chineses own the plastic injection molds, they use for create "new" models. But with downgraded electronics, simplified firmware. You find the same sticks under others not know "brands" (OEM hardware distributors). Although in the paper they have similar features than T.16000M, X-52... they wort? No, see Reddit/r/HOTAS. BTW - Don't thrust in Youtube "reviews" of joysticks made by FPS players, look for simmers reviews, with historic in this kind of hardware.

Perhaps for... finished the TECS?

I have something like this with VKB Gladiator Mk.II + T-Rudder: - Gladiator wist axis 50 to 0% (twist for left) generate a new virtual axes 0 to 100% - the Slider1, this axis is assigned for "Wheel brakes" - in games/planes that have this command. Gladiator twist axis 51 to 100% (twist for right) is not used. This setup work for any plane in IL-2:GB (Bo'X'), British and Italian planes in IL-2:CloD/Tobruk and in DCS planes that don't use "toe brakes", e.g. Spitfire, Mig-15, Mig-21... Don't work for IL-2:CloD/Tobruk plane with "toe brakes" neither DCS planes with "toe brakes", because is need two individual axes for assign for right and left "toe brakes". Of course you can create two new 0-100% axes with twist axis 0-50 and 51 - 100%, but then can't use this axes for assign for "wheel brakes", because they will be used for "toe brakes right and left. Perhaps this: use the pink button in NXT as modifier for the new virtual axis created by twist left, so can can use this axis for "wheel brakes", thing is that you are using the same movement twist left for two different functions and this cause mental confusion if you change planes with frequency. I think that in DCS is not need the modifier button, you can use the same axis for different function... ? I think that in VKB Forum are configuration for this combo, don't remember how are addressed the "toe brakes" issue. EDIT - This topic: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3570&p=35008&hilit=toe+brakes#p35008 Probable this is "easy" to in DevCFG, using VBrake, Trimmer, Boolean functions... You just need sensibilize AlexOX in il2sturmovik.ru forum for you intend.

VKB T-Rudder - Gradual Toe Braking options?
Sokol1_br replied to Dangerzone's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
No, T-Link will not do what you want, he just press the R or L axis for toe brakes - depending on rudder axis position; all the way down trough the pressing of a button, with the bonus that if rudder is in middle, press both equally for stop the plane. But is always 0 or 100%. I think you can adjust the speed for reach 100% using VKB DevCFG software... but continue a "on-off" braking. You should try using VKB DevCfg, first for create the new axes for toe brake L and toe brake R, and for create the conditions for use like you need, perhaps with the new Boolean functions... no idea how this work. Before T-Link exist I use a config in DevCFG - made by someone in Il-2 Russian forum; that activate the toe brake R and L axes based on rudder position, in a proportional way (if rudder are 60% for left, toe brake left will be pressed the same proportion), but this was simultaneous with rudder input... what result disastrous. -
VKB T-Rudder - Gradual Toe Braking options?
Sokol1_br replied to Dangerzone's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If proportional "toe brakes" is mandatory for you, better forget T-Rudder. Will be necessary: - Assign T-Rudder yaw axis 0 to 50% to generate a new virtual axes, to be the toe brakes left. - Assign T-Rudder yaw axis 51 to 100% to generate another new virtual axes, to be the toe brakes right. But back to the "toe brakes", then will be need assign a button(key) with this new axes for have independent brake operation from yaw (rudder) axis, so will be need two modifier buttons. Another "imbroglio", how brake both wheels at same time? -
VKB T-Rudder - Gradual Toe Braking options?
Sokol1_br replied to Dangerzone's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
By software difficult you will achieve that a momentary command - the joystick button, work as proportional axis. VKB DevCFG software is very powerful - probable more than any other joy software, but never see a configuration for "button = proportional axis" show by their developer. The way is used combined T-Rudder with an joystick with analog brake lever, e.g. VKB MCG, VirPil T50CM. -

RSC is very easy for "USB'erizing", since there just one potentiometer inside. Get a USB "joystick" controller, like Leo Bodnar BU0836A, Dereksphearedesign DSD12... that are both overkill/costly for the job, but ready to use. Or get an Arduino PRO Micro (ATMEGA32u4, 16 MHZ, 5v) clone that cost around $5 in eBay, Aliexpress... and flash then - though the USB cable; with MMjoy2 firmware, and have a 10 bits (1024 steeps - more is possible with external ADC) USB "joystick" controller. Get too a multicolored cable with individual Dupond connectors (BU08336A came with connectors for assemble the cable). Then get rid of all original wiring and gameport connectors, they will more hinder than help. Separate 3 wires from the cable, connect or solder one end in the potentiometer in RCS, and the other side in the USB controller. Done. All the mentioned USB controllers are plug and play devices for Windows, using Windows native HID drivers. Same is applicable for CH PRO Pedal, just that there are 3 pot's. See in Rel4y "CH upgrades" topi ready to use option for an USB controller and contactless sensor.

The reason of use bearings is to avoid undesired movements in the magnet (eg. axial) what can create jumps in axis response.

Sorry, I can't help with Joystick Gremlin, too "weight and complicated" for my needs. But, taking as example SVMapper, how set a ON-OFF-ON switch, that press two DX buttons in ON positions and none in OFF - DX button # 1 and button # 2 in the example; for send 3 different keypress: A, B, C, working as ON-ON-ON switch for games. Use the same principle in RSMapper, JoyToKey, Joystick Gremlin, XPadder.
-
Probable the idea of this "anti-breaking bracket" is remove the play in grip - rod connection. Effective?
-
Without physical modification inside an ON-OFF-ON switch (what is tricky, se attached file) the way to make they work as ON-ON-ON is though keymaper software with "key mapped on release", like RSMapper, JoyToKey, Xpadder, Joystick Gremlin. For DCS planes you can edit LUA controls adding function for "0 state" of switch, topic about fixed in this forum. DIY ON-ON-ON Switch.zip

Steering while taxiing: which wheel brake control works best?
Sokol1_br replied to wernst's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Not a "mod", but a relatively easy option for add brake lever in Warthog or Cougar. STL files for 3D print this "brake lever". Author MYCYJIbMAHUH in IL-2 Sturmovik.ru forum. Use an cheap Arduino PRO Micro + MMjoy2 firmware as USB controller and an small 10K linear taper potentiometer for sensor. Other possible option, use Joystick Gremlin and set this paddle button for increase/decrease an virtual axis. -
Use a (MON)-OFF-(MON) switch, their lever spring back to center position when released.

Magnetic Base (HOTAS Warthog) replacement potentiometers
Sokol1_br replied to Bergison's topic in Thrustmaster
In this case use another USB controller for handle de potentiometers, e.g. Leo Bodnar BU0836A or some DIY, e.g. Arduino PRO Micro+MMJoy2, FreeJoy... -
Magnetic Base (HOTAS Warthog) replacement potentiometers
Sokol1_br replied to Bergison's topic in Thrustmaster
The thing is, highly probable the USB controller firmware recognize only the digital signal from Hall sensor X,Y axes, not the analog signal send by potentiometers. Besides this, Thrustmaster "magnetic base" (or Warthog base) GIMBAL is oscillatory type, without separation from X, Y axes movement, no practical way to install two potententiomters there. So without extensive modifications in controller (e.g. adding a converter for analog signal became digital) and in gimbal mechanics no way. Will be more easy - and result better; make a new gimbal and USB controller. -
What is wrong is that not should press and hold W or button for park brakes. But press W or Button, press the key or button for park brakes catch (similar to T lever in P-51 Mustang), leave and park brakes remain applied until the catch is liberated, is how park brakes work in real Spitfire (Hurricane, Beaufighter, Blenheim, Mosquito....).
