  1. Empty your FXO and Metashaders. Are you using Quadviews? If so, uninstall and re-install
  2. and a great module!
  3. I don’t know the answer, but it’s a great question. The best way to check would be to test with a friend
  4. As the Indians used the Jag, maybe one of theirs might be most viable from the perspective of acquiring data on its systems?
  5. As Norway has been in NATO since its inception, there’s a very high chance that F4s will have visited at some point. My Cold War scenario assumes that NATO would move some F4s to Norway in the event of things “going hot”.
  6. Oooohhh, do tell us more
  7. Warbird base and compact base now sold, original post now updated.
  8. I've just updated the re-uploaded a new version of my scenario setting for Kola 1984: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3337108/ As described, this is not a single mission, rather a setting for the player to choose what they fancy doing. I've included aircraft vaguely appropriate for the period, though I've not restricted weapons, as I'm assuming that anyone who wishes to, can simply choose to load up with mostly dumb weapons. Aircraft include F4s, F5s, F14s, F16s, F18s, Hueys, Mig 15s, 19s, 21s, Mi8s, Mi24s, CC101s, F1s, etc. Both sides have SAMs and EWRs in place, my thanks to the person who created that template on which they're based. It has CTLD, CSAR, targets marked on the F10 map, CTLD enabled helicopters, a couple of Soviet strike missions that can be launched from the F10 menu and also tankers via the F10 menu. In short, it's got plenty in there, hopefully to save anyone who fancies using it the time of pulling it altogether. What you do with it post that, it's up to you.
  9. I’m not saying they are, but if that’s where their passion sits, sometimes it’s better to just roll with it.
  10. Aerges do appear to be focused on aircraft used by the Spanish air force, and I do understand their passion. Maybe a better suggestion for once they finish the Starfighter would be the Mirage 3.
  11. Possibly so, but I can see why there’s no official livery’s when neither country use the F16. That seems more like a request to the modding community
  12. I believe that the following are not quite right: - I couldn’t find a binding to choose between Shrike Band 1 and 2. There’s a switch on the lower front panel that controls it - there are bindings for the Nav Mode, which is a rotary selector. However, on assigning a physical control to them, nothing happens when I attempt to turn the physical knob
  13. Good to know. I try blowing up some railway yards and storage facilities
  14. I like it a lot. It’s not massive, but has a lot of variance of what is there and supports some key conflicts very nicely.
  15. Since 2016 with the Huey as my first module. Have been sidetracked with playing games like BG3, but never for long.
  16. I was out in mine yesterday and regularly fly it. I don’t remember reading any plans about it getting an overhaul. Having said that, ED did suggest a couple of years ago that there was a need to redo pretty much everything in game to prepare them for Vulkan. My assumption is that this is one of the reasons as to why some of the older aircraft have been given a good going over, eg interiors for the Spitfire, updates to A10 and Ka50. If that is correct (which it might not be, it’s just me speculating), that would mean that the Mi8 would need to be on a roadmap to be updated at some point. Personally I don’t worry about it. It’s still ace to fly and if we get an upgrade, then great. its hardly as though ED don’t have enough on their plate already to deal with.
  17. I’m going to start moving these onto EBay if there’s no interest in the next few days
  18. Try turning master arm off then on again. Do ensure that pylon for the weapon is selected.
  19. My opinion is: - If pilots want truly balanced, go fly the same aircraft against each other - part of the basis for DCS aircraft is to not consider balance, but to focus on accuracy - linked to the above, that’s only an issue if a player considers what might be historically accurate to be unfair. Personally, I don’t care. Last time I was multiplayer on open servers was using the 190A8. At the time, it was probably the worst dogfighter on the server. So what? I went off to conduct ground strikes. - if a server is trying to provide a vague level of balance, that can be done by restricting weapons, fuel and equipment available. That’s not a problem that sits with ED, it’s with the owners of the server - we talk about balance, but does that really exist in most wars? Usually not. In WW2, the Me262 might have made it to some squadrons, but it had an average engine life of just 25 hours and was ridiculously outnumbered
  20. Eye tracking was its key redeeming feature (at least for non PS users). It’s a bit of a hard sell without.
  21. Paw> can I suggest looking in the user files. I definitely have livery for an F16 for Norway. Sorry, can’t remember about the others, but new liveries tend to be release by users really fast once a new map arrives, and let’s face it, it takes less time to run a search in user files than it does to write this thread
  22. I’ve been hitting some bridges in the last few days. Failed to destroy them with Mavs from a Viggen and HEAT rockets from a Mirage F1. Going to try some big boys toys tonight Update: well that's disappointing. Dropped x2 2000lb GBU31s on a bridge, and all it did was leave a big SPLAT graphic on it. So much for having a bunch of missions to disrupt logistics by blowing up bridges. Gotta laugh, as I must have several hours identifying and marking on the F10 map a bunch of juicy looking bridges. I assume it'll happen eventually, so all is not lost. Back to shooting up EWR sites.
  23. I vaguely seem to remember that the Seacat was a bit "pap" during the Falklands war. That might be only anecdotal, based upon a few things that I've read.
  24. I’ll go check, thanks. One point I spotted yesterday was that the GPU usage dropped whilst opening/leaving DCS. That suggests to me that the workload generated by the Dashboard outside of any games is disabled when jumping into a game. It would also explain why my frame rate is generally fine.
