I'm afraid this can happen again with any other 3rd party. I will stay away from other module makers. The only module I may get is the A-6E if its the SWIP version, and ONLY that version.

Why does RAZBAM ignore the sound quality of their modules?
Ignition replied to 112th_Rossi's topic in RAZBAM
Sorry, I thought this was a forum, not a documented science page. -
I don't know how effective are those TALDS IRL. If they fly like in DCS they could only be confused for JSOW, and JSOW have reduced RCS and as I understand TALDS don't so they are pretty unique and very easy to identify. In DCS the tactics are very complex because of each weapon flying with completely different characteristics and you need to collect data for each weapon and reaction in DCS, and you need to do this for each type of attack (altitude, environment, weapons). You need to do a lot of TOT attacks and train with many people. We practiced with TALDS/AGM-88C/JDAM and is not easy, there are many variables.

ED needs as much 3rd parties as they can, the level of growth it had it wouldn't be possible alone. The problem comes when military stuff gets mixed with gaming stuff, now the customers from a game pay the broken plates.
-
EDIT: Sorry I meant AGM-65 1 squadron trained with it for a while. The pilot can command 1 missile while the WSO can command another.

The DCS F-15E is missing: AGM-64, GBU-15, AGM-130, GBU-27. GBU-28, AIM-9X, GBU-39. It didn't use neither the AGM-88 or the AGM-84

The fastest way is to not fill the decimals for the navigation waypoints, you don't need them.

I've been flying the hornet lately and noticed when landing on land runways it behaves really weird just before touch down. I've been flying the F-16C since 2020 until 2023 exclusively and its a really cool aircraft to land, you just add a very fast but also very short acceleration just before touching the runway and you smooth the landing very well. But when landing the F-18C it feels "wrong", like if the aircraft didn't have any or very tiny ground effect and I need to maintain the throttles beyond idle all the time because the aircraft just sinks to the ground otherwise. I can land it very soft like the F-16C but doesn't "feel right" to me, or natural. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I'm using full flap.

Thanks, I'll check, I don't even use the A4, never used and forgot its existence.

It's been like this for some time now, about a year. The state of Combined Arms is really sad.
-
The "finished" tag is still subjetive, the AV8B was going to receive an update sometime this year to address issues and improve other features. But now the update will never come. The F-18 is out of Early Access and it has many things missing like datalink features or working wrong (like the video on the TGP). Though I do believe the "finished" tag should never be placed in any module since the nature of DCS is very dynamic (until the developer quits the game).

Well, at the time the only aircrafts in DCS were the Ka-50 and the A-10C which both had already years of development. Maybe the viggen and mig-21 also I don't remember. We all know Razbam is not doing charity, if they were then they would still be working for free on their modules since ED stopped paying them more than a year ago. I don't understand what you mean but outdated modules can be sold, Combined Arms from ED for example. It never got updated and also it never worked fine plus they increased the price since the caucasus map was improved. I still don't understand why are you complaining for an aircraft that got improved over time, I can understand you if it still were basic as you call it. Many aircraft also got improved, for example the F-16C which was the worst release in DCS and now is much better simulated than the F-18C, it still has a TGP which is a joke but also the F-18 and I hope it gets improved in the sniper release after the well designed video of F-15E TGP.

The F-15E has the best AA radar simulation in DCS. The F-15E has the best AG radar simulation in DCS. The F-15E has the best TGP video simulation in DCS. The F-15E has an excelent simulation of TFR. You don't know the chances, no one knows but we know the effort put in those systems. We only know that the amount of 3rd party developers is really small and Razbam was one of the biggest contributors, now DCS is even smaller than before. If you don't have trust in a company just don't buy their products.

You would wonder how basic ALL our DCS aircrafts are until real military institutions get involved. Even the so beloved ED F-18C. The community needs to thank Razbam to update the M2K even after so many years instead of complaining.

Server list is empty or doesnt show all the servers
Ignition replied to Stasgysk's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
We have the same issue with our 5 servers. -
What compatibility? If that's the problem they could easily add a new one. If you mean the individual helipads: The "Helipad Single" is as ugly as the "FARP" The "PAD Single" is very tiny for the helicopters of DCS, only useful for the OH-58D And the "Invisible FARP" well is just invisible so its like landing anywhere. What do you mean for FOB functionality? Fuel, AMMO, Repair and COMMS? ALL the helipadas need those services so you need to place them.
-
PLEASE, update the already old model and textures of the FARP. I don't even know if it changed since 2015 and with all the focus on helicopters now it really hurts the eye.

TOP 5 things I'd like to see for 2025!!!
Ignition replied to cptmrcalm's topic in DCS Core Wish List
+1 for Dynamic Spawn on dynamically spawned FARPS, it would make helicopters much more useful on campaigns. -
I believe the FUEL XFER FAIL is related to barometric pressure. I always change the pressure in my missions and I have this failure sometimes.

Agree. I know it is an Early Access and the state was fine on release but it's not a good aircraft to fly regularly. In MC the desynch is a pain in the F-15E. if you fly pre GPS it's impossible to synch the INS and the TGP points wrong. It has only 1 way to fix the INS drift and its missing the other modes. The MN doesn't work right because it wasn't finished and it's the primary method to fly pre GPS TOT wasn't finished. Can't change the code of Laser bombs. JDAMS get desynch in MC, the only way to synch is by introducing the coordinates manually. It's missing lots of systems and weapons, specially the AGM-130 which is one of the main weapons it has. It's a great aircraft IRL and Razbam made an excellent job but in DCS ATM it still missing way too many features to keep flying it. It's fine if you just fly casually to drop some bombs but it's not a good aircraft to learn and specialize.

ED made just 2 minor fixes in 6 months to the modules. ED, I'm waiting for the development of the F-15E I've bought in your store. Can you do that?, the last update was almost 9 months ago. I'm fine if you can add all the missing weapons and systems. But I know there's a difference between 2 simple fixes to a complete development of a module, so the "so far so good" is overemphasize. If you can't, are you going to pay the price to keep all the modules working when vulkan arrives this year? or with more engine, weather and other updates? It's time to start answering these questions to the community. ED as Razbam have the same responsibility to the community.
-
By that logic, next time I will not pay my taxes to punish the government.
-
I can understand if Razbam don't want to work for free for more than a year now.

Why does RAZBAM ignore the sound quality of their modules?
Ignition replied to 112th_Rossi's topic in RAZBAM
If you like the immersion, the F-15E is one of the best in cockpit sounds. Very realistic, not like Heatblur which goes the other way around with overexaggerated sounds. -
Assuming there was a real IP contract breach.
