Hold up. So there is a way to have a canopy with signs of being in service? Since release, I've ALWAYS had a cockpit with some wear, and what has always appeared to be a brand new canopy. I must investigate your solution.

Yes, I haven't been able to find the VSN A-7; in fact most VSN links seem to be broken right now (I do have a LOT of VSN planes!). I have the F-8, I just can't get it to work properly, which is a shame.

From way back, and I was wondering if anyone could pick that up and make it good to go for 2.5.x? I also recall an F-8, but it didn't seem to function properly. Be great to be able to deck these along with that A-4 and the F-14s...just sayin!

At 25,xxx altitude, Mach 0.89, locked MiG-29 closing, I get an initial SHOOT at 38 miles, and RNE at 36. This was with an AIM-120C, though it did seem to lose a bunch of go well before it got close, and never did hit the MiG.

The hook will indeed go to the deck while all the wheels are down. This was part of preflight checks when I was in. I believe it just doesn't have the resistance (pressure?) to not skip horribly when it's in that state. I could very well be wrong about the reasoning, but the hook will indeed touch the deck while sitting there.

Had cloud cover + dust, and had some strange "outlines" on some buildings and dirt mounds. Persian Gulf map, VR.

I have to; in VR, I can't spot anything without some kind of indicator. I like the new system where you can really have some minimal labels a lot better than full labels.

So, following the posting of a video I made of my "DCS Hang"...I noticed it was recording things I was not seeing on screen with my headset sitting on the desk. I have long created missions in the mission editor, hit the go buttons, gone to get a cup of coffee ready or what have you, and returned to see what I would see in the headset "also on screen". That no longer seems to be the case, and this "hang" is in fact not a hang, it's just requiring donning of the headset to proceed. So, I missed out on flying the latest and greatest because I didn't just throw the headset on...

I'm extremely curious about system specs and OS, whether you're flying VR, etc., as my OB is completely unusable. I can play in the ME all day long, but once I go to fly, it hangs and has to be closed via task manager. I've attempted to eliminate any mods as being the culprit and it's still a no-go. Ran several cleanups and several repairs. My pc isn't the powerhouse of powerhouses, but it's no slouch (copied from Dxdiag) = Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804) Processor: Intel® Core i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.7GHz Memory: 16384MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 12 Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti I am running DCS in VR via Oculus.

I was unable to launch at 0*.

The deck crew doesn't unhook. Trap, full throttle for 4 sec, idle, raise your hook.

I think the takeoff request command and the "U" (? the one you use after hooking to the shuttle) command are linked.

Kind of always thought Beta releases were to find and rectify problems, but to the dismay of many, it seems like now it's merely a preview of what you're getting.

I would really hope the bugs that manifested with last weeks updates to OB wouldn't be carried over to release.

I'm not getting the RNE cue until about 10nm for the 120C, regardless of altitude or speed.
