  1. P-47 on the way! WOOP!!
  2. Let's not get off topic
  3. I think you quoted the wrong person [emoji6]
  4. The Tiger's cockpit was a project I had considered undertaking, but upon learning there are no normals, I decided to do other things. And ambient occlusion is included with the roughmet/PBR maps, as the red channel [emoji1303]
  5. Graphically the whole module needs a touch up. Textures in particular
  6. Well, if you follow what I've stated above, it will avoid these issues. I've followed this procedure for a month, and have rarely had problems. And when I do, it's because I wasn't paying enough attention and got too close to 280km/h before the gear raised. So yes, be particular
  7. You must be very particular. Once you have a positive climb, immediately raise your gear, and do not exceed 280km/h while the gear is out. Once the gear is fully retracted, then raise the flaps. I can't remember the issues (not with DCS as a bug, but with the 190A8) specifically, but it seems the Anton is easily overloaded. If you raise flaps and gear at the same time, you'll overload it. If you arm the cannons too soon within each other, you'll overload it. If you continuously fire for too long, you'll overload it. I don't get what's with the undercarriage though. I would imagine hydraulics would be their own deal. I'd have to hit the manual/EA guide.
  8. More airfields plz UGRA
  9. Even if people spruce up the roughmet, the cockpit won't look up to par without a normal map though. I had considered making a cockpit mod for the Tiger, but when I came to realize I can't add a normal, I dropped it. That part is in ED's hands
  10. It needs one. Last I checked, there is no blue (metallic) channel. There is also no normal map. I don't believe work on the diffuse is that needed, other than removing baked shadows
  11. Yup, that is correct. It's been a long few days with little sleep. [emoji17]
  12. Even with a high ambient temperature, drawing from the outside would certainly not be as hot as drawing air from the engine compartment.
  13. Did you mistyped “from” as “for”?
  14. It is opaque because the brightness is at half by default, while the K-4's is at full brightness. I prefer the half, so I actually usually dim the K-4's sight.
  15. [Didn't realize this was in the reality part of the forum]
  16. Auto does a terrible job of keeping the engine cool. It seems in auto mode, it will never fully open. Before startup, just knock the coolant door down to manual, and leave oil in auto so it warms up while on the ground. Once the oil passes 40C, flip the coolant door to auto. After takeoff, if you are going to do any fast and/or aggressive flying or climbing, fully open the oil door manually, but you can keep the coolant in auto. With this, you can climb at ~175MPH IAS at 3000RPM and 55inches, though that is about the limit of it.
  17. Almost exclusively multiplayer
  18. Was noted in the changelogs [emoji1303] Anyone see if the cockpit camera for the Spit has been fixed as well? The view limits, right, left, forward and back? Also, have changes been made to the Dora's gunsight glass (like what happened to the Anton?)
  19. WoP has a really nice completely custom dot label, done by Shahdoh
  20. This option was only available for a short time, and has since been deleted. You can have dot labels as an option now, however, and I recommend that you use that when available
  21. By that, do you mean there will NOT be a collab, or they just aren't commenting on it?
  22. This kind of engine simulation would be fantastic, and make operation of the warbirds just that much better. Dedicating a chunk of ED probably wouldn't be very efficient though. I hear that A2A did a good job on their Mustang. And there is HOPE for an ED and A2A collab (based off a Facebook post months ago). I think A2A would do good at recreating simulations of the engines, particularly the temperamental carbureted ones At least that's my wish
  23. If the Sidewinder uses potentiometers, I'd definitely recommend that sat y be lowered. But if you've got a lot of throw to the stick, and it uses HALL effect sensors, I don't think any adjustment to the controls period would be necessary, and it'd just be a matter of adjusting yourself to the plane. One can fly the Spitfire with no curves or sat y decrease with the T-16000 easily. I can only imagine how much easier it would be with an extended stick! [emoji54] As an example, if you're pulling back on the stick pretty hard, but if you make small adjustments at high speed turns, your wings rip off or the turn changes dramatically (indicated by the G-forces moving the camera suddenly), then it is best you either decrease sat Y, or you decrease the curves you had before.
