  1. I for one am glad they’re not in the sim: nuclear weapons are pure evil, and far more destructive than conventional knowledge would let you believe: nuclear explosions rip holes in the very fabric of reality… it’s utter madness… I wouldn’t want to see them represented in any video game. I’m very happy we as a society learned enough to move past the dangers they represent Anyway, that’s far beyond the scope of this thread. ED seems to leave to door ajar on this system anyway, as per Wags’ latest video: he said several times Nike Hercules “is not in DCS currently”…
  2. https://forum.dcs.world/forum/63-military-and-aviation/
  3. The Soviets are, as it’s the reason SPO-15 was specifically configured to detect it in the first place
  4. Yes, that was the default configuration. They could potentially be configured with a conventional warhead for export, apparently.
  5. I’ll try it later today, cheers! *edit* Now that I tried it, it is indeed a large improvement. In fact, it reminds me of Razbam's Mirage 2000.
  6. Nukes in DCS are a big NO-NO for ED: they have said that ad infinitum already. I'd personally prefer not to have them either.
  7. Can you perhaps share a screenshot of the “fuzziness” you’re talking about, and perhaps a comparison shot of after the mod you mention is applied? That way we can better understand what you mean…
  8. Yes please! Can’t tell how many times I tried to lock up a parachute and wondered if there’s something wrong with my radar
  9. And the beautiful thing about FFB is that you can dial down spring/damper/friction forces just the way you like it, since it’s purely software based, instead of having to faff about with different pieces of hardware to be swapped out.
  10. Sounds like fun, thanks! I’ll definitely try this over the weekend
  11. Right click the station and select fuel tank from the drop down list, just like any other option. Just make sure you select the correct pylon. Or are you trying to edit/overwrite an existing template?
  12. Oh? The only ones relevant for DCS are J and K, are they not? J offers better image quality / sharpness, K is slightly better for image stability.
  13. Yes, that’s the point of this thread
  14. In addition to checking the "module specific FFB" option, also make sure you have the force strength sliders both set to zero. FFB won't work otherwise.
  15. Yes I had the exact same issue when practicing tail slides on release day. Funny thing is, while the “RH engine” light keeps flickering and the rpm meter seems to indicate the engine flamed out, that after landing and pulling both throttles to OFF, you see both rpm gauges winding down - as if the flamed out engine actually did restart but is stuck at 105% rpm for some reason
  16. Indeed, I like Gvad's videos but his latest one about MiG-29 smelled very off to me
  17. No: the radar losing lock (too) easily is discussed here:
  18. It depends on which hardware you use: for me in practice it already acts as just like it does in the real aircraft, but with just requiring 1 keybind instead of 2. It's just that the wording is misleading. And yes it’s fairly annoying to always have to flip the trigger back up every time the radar loses lock (which is quite often but that’s another topic entirely).
