Dubito che sia un problema di segreti militari: ciò che è segreto mica lo vanno a dire alla eagle dynamics. E' più facile, a mio avviso, che sia una questione di copyright...

The good thing in DCS is the accuracy of simulation, not a race to find which is the most capable helicopter / aircraft on the battlefield. Otherwise sabre and mig-15 wouldn't have any sense. So maybe the apache will be the most capable? Probably yes, it's the newest too. Does this mean ka-50 (even BS2 as it is now) or mi-24 are completely useless? I say absolutely no.

Io l'L-39 ce l'ho e devo dire che mi piace, è il modulo che uso quando voglio volare "civile" in DCS. Se solo sistemassero quel fastidiosissimo bug del NS430 che impatta sui frame quando lo accendi...

Io ormai ho preso questo: 240 euro spedito dalla Russia. La sedia è Ikea. Certo quei collettivi replica sono bellissimi, ma chissà il prezzo... e poi come si fa a decidere tra i due? Meglio che non ci pensi, se no rischierei di comperarli entrambi

A me dei futuri moduli di cui esisterà una versione MAC mancano solo sabre e mig-15, ma li scontano così spesso che faccio prima a prendermi quelli full-fidelity piuttosto che MAC; peraltro non sono nemmeno così complessi da imparare. Sto quasi pensando di disinstallare FC3 per liberare un po' di spazio sull'SSD, tanto non lo uso più; penso che MAC non lo prenderò.

Comunque per come la vedo io "non ripetere gli errori del Viper" significa che all'uscita bisogna che siano completi o comunque molto avanti nello sviluppo sia il modello 3d che i sistemi di base: elettrico, idraulico, modello di volo, luci, navigazione. L'avionica, radar compreso, invece può anche metterci i suoi anni. Purchè col modulo all'uscita si possa almeno fare startup, decollare, navigare, atterrare. Il problema del Viper a mio avviso è stato che all'uscita c'erano già alcuni sistemi avanzati ma mancavano molte funzioni di base.

The cancellation of BS3 is a bad news: if some bugs were on hold for BS3 upgrade, now they are bugs related to an old module, so probably pushed back in the priority list. ED once talked about a schedule for bug fixes on old modules, but no further news until now. BS2 is not the only module affected. What about a small group of developers dedicated to old modules bug fix? Maybe one old module at the time? Can we have an answer from the devs? "We plan to do this and that" should be enough...

I don't think so: if you like russian style cockpit - due to the reasons they canceled bs3 (and what about mig-29 then?) the mi-24 will be one of the few chances to fly a russian attack helicopter, the existence of the Apache do not change this fact.

Non fraintendiamoci: a parte il gazelle io gli elicotteri li ho tutti e quindi ovviamente prenderò anche l'apache, radar o non radar, così come prenderò il mi-24, ma di certo non in preordine.

Hanno detto che il modulo completo sarà il D, ma hanno anche già detto che uscirà in EA con le funzionalità di un A. In pratica dovevano fare una delle ultime versioni del cobra, invece faranno la prima dell'apache. Poi, prima che diventi un D, passeranno almeno 5 anni ad essere ottimisti, ma almeno (si spera) sarà utilizzabile "facendo finta" che sia un A. Quanto alla lista delle cose a mezzo sono d'accordo, bisogna ridurla prima di aggiungerne altre. il P-47 è fuori dall'EA, non avendolo seguito però non saprei dire se è veramente finito, oppure se è fuori dall'EA come lo è l'av-8b. E' evidente comunque che spingono sui moduli "da soldi": dopo il viper, ecco l'apache.

Bello l'Apache, ma uscirà entro la fine dell'anno un modulo abbozzato come fu il viper all'uscita, per cui io non ho fretta. Piuttosto per il 2021 mi aspetto un dcs world base ben ottimizzato soprattutto per la VR, il 18 fuori dall'accesso anticipato, un bell'avanzamento dei lavori per viper e supercarrier, il black shark 3 e la fine dell'a-10c II con la nuova radio e tutti gli ammennicoli che ancora mancano. E già sarei contento. Se poi decidessero anche di allocare un po' di risorse per fixare qualche bug da eoni incancrenito sui moduli più vecchi, non avrei niente di più da chiedere a ED per il 2021. P.S. poi per il 2021 vorrei anche la fine del covid, le Nvidia serie 30 e i ryzen 5000 in grande disponibilità e ai prezzi consigliati, e Luna Rossa che vince la Coppa America, ma questo non lo posso chiedere a ED...

A few questions for you, if I can: 1) I have a Rift s. My Idea was to upgrade to a Reverb g2 (after a PC upgrade, when the new Nvidia 30 or AMD 6000 GPUs will finally appear in stores), but I have an IPD of 74 mm. Do you think a Quest 2 is a better option? How is the display clarity over the Rift s? And over the original Reverb? I know oculus link works compressing data and then decompressing inside the HMD, does this behaviour affect visual clarity and frame rate? I like my Rift s and the Oculus VR software is amazing, so it would be a great news if I could get a performance and visual boost with a Quest 2 over my Rift s, thus keeping the Oculus environment. 2) I'd like to buy a pointctrl. If I compile the form on pointctrl site will I get the V2 version? Is this enough to do, or have I to do something else here? Thanks. 3) I have a 3d printer; do you provide stls for the sensor mount, in case I'll change my HMD later on? Sorry if your answer is not so clear to me, maybe it depends from the fact that I'm not native english speaker. So you still suggest not to buy, don't you? I was asking since the AV-8 is a very interesting aircraft IMHO, but I fear to buy a module not on par with the best available in DCS. Thanks.

Some months ago a harsh widespread criticism struck RB as they decided to move the AV8 out of early access; a lot of well informed users said this or that was incomplete, bugged or not correct, NATOPS procedures could not be followed since RB AV8 was not at all similar to the real one, and the definition of "study level simulation" was anything but true. Now it's just praise. Where are all those well informed users now? What is the real current state of the AV8? Is it somewhat different from how it was when the wall of s##t raised against RB's face? That would be interesting to know about it...

I 100% agree. It's my own judgement method. And - coincidentally - I do not own early access stuff. I'd gladly buy the yak-52, but I'll wait to see it out of early access, and even then I'll come here and ask how much it is finished before buying. P.S. we cannot mention other sims by name and I won't do, but there's a really well made yak-52 for a civil sim (not the big shot, the other one) that worths the money...

So why belsimtek in 2017 stated they were working on it, as demonstrated by the quote below? Who is lying? That said, this is the reason I do not buy early access modules: I want to see what is inside when a module is declared out of EA (aka finished). I own the huey, but I mainly fly offline so multicrew is not a crucial feature to me; when I've chosen to buy the huey I was aware I could not expect to have multicrew for granted, as the module was already out of early access. If someone complains, I think he should not keep buying EA stuff: if you want the huey for the multicrew (or any other module for a particular feature) and that feature is not ready when the module is out of EA, you can choose not to buy that module.

After some other test I can say the bug is only in firing 7.62 gun, as stated in the title. Both 12.7 gun and grenades launcher are not affected.

Tutti puristi della simulazione dura e pura poi però volano con 10 moduli alla volta; mah avrete una memoria di ferro, forse sono io che perdo colpi... :dunno:

I can confirm: I experience massive stutter when firing guv, both 7.62 and 12.7 guns. Tested in the default weapon training mission in VR. i76700k, 32 GB RAM, rtx 2070, Oculus Rift s.

Does Quest 2 rely on its internal battery even when connected to a PC? I'm still undecided between Quest 2 and Reverb g2, facebook stuff beeing not an issue to me since I already have a facebook account and a rift s.
