[ALREADY REPORTED]Hornet still has drag on rocket pods after Jettison
Ziptie replied to MPalmer's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well if there is still existing drag after jettisoning the rocket pods - hopefully this can be assessed and then addressed. Holy giant signature, that is a bit much....... Cheers, Ziptie -
You can actually hide/show the stick in the A10C II now. You can click towards the bottom of the airframe where the stick "meets" the floor and it will show/hide the stick - similar to how the F-14 works (and the F-18 I believe, but you might have to use BKSPC for the Hornet - can't remember for sure on that one). [CORRECT AS IS] China Hat Aft selecting LSS mode in TGP
Ziptie replied to HawgDawg4Life's topic in Bugs and Problems
If you happen to be using the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS - you can bind the paddle switch to the right MFD OSB 5, which will allow you to return the TGP to boresight when TGP is displayed on the right MFD. Or if you aren't using the TMWH and you have another spare/unused button on whatever HOTAS you use, you can still achieve this by binding that to your unused button. Cheers, Ziptie -
Haven't experienced this issue you are describing - but is it possible that you have depressed CHAS (which enters LSS mode)? Next time you experience this issue, check to see if the TGP is in LSS mode (indicated on TGP display below the crosshair (gate). Another indication LSS mode has been enabled is the LOS indicator "sweeps" on the TGP display. Cheers, Ziptie

[ALREADY REPORTED]CDU Steer switch jumps 2 steer points
Ziptie replied to IAF.Cheetah's topic in Bugs and Problems
Copy, as long as the CDU switch "bug" isn't lost - I'm a happy camper sir. Thank you for the quick response. Cheers, Ziptie -
[ALREADY REPORTED]CDU Steer switch jumps 2 steer points
Ziptie replied to IAF.Cheetah's topic in Bugs and Problems
@BIGNEWY- this link appears to not be functioning, not sure if this is an expected issue with the forums switching over to the new format or not - but just trying to make sure this issue doesn't get "lost" in the migration. Cheers, Ziptie -
[REPORTED]"CCRP Invalid" After a Few Seconds of Being Valid
Ziptie replied to Hawkeye91's topic in Bugs and Problems
Check the DSMS the next time you see this and see if the selected INS guided weapon station(s) show ALGIN DEG / ALN DEG. If so, rock your wings and it will "wake up" the weapon. Long and steady flight can put INS weapons into this state on the A10C. As for the "USE CCIP/CCRP" bit, outside of a weapon profile being setup for a specific release type - I do recall reading on the forums somewhere that there is a hiccup that is happening with some of the master mode select interactions between some weapons/modes (example is the gun pipper not showing up with a GBU-38 selected). Unsure if/when a fix is incoming for that or all described issues. Cheers, Ziptie -
Is it possible that you are checking the wrong A10C control settings? A10C I vs A10C II ? Cheers, Ziptie

Centers the aircraft in the TAD (CEN) rather than being in DEP own. Wondering if the DCS current functionality of being able to DMSRS with TAD SOI being able to actually cycle between both modes might actually be incorrect. Just a guess on my part there - but seems more likely that DMSRS would enter DEP own and DMSLS would enter CEN own. Cheers, Ziptie

I was not mistaken with DMSLS functionality and edited the prior post to reflect that - along with including a much more accurate representation of HOTAS commands. Cheers, Ziptie

This is a much more accurate HOTAS command document, compared to the other included in this thread - for those who might not have seen it and be interested. Note that this includes commands for the CMS that have yet to be implemented in DCS, but reflect real world and incoming functionality to DCS (per DCS moderators/developers). I can also include the throttle commands as well if it is desired by anyone. Cheers, Ziptie

Yes, my mistake - typo. Will correct original statement. EDIT: I was not mistaken, I was correct. DMSLS cycles CEN/DEP with TAD SOI. Cheers, Ziptie

When you proceed to checkout, it should reduce the price, but doesn’t happen in the initial cart placement - or at least that is how it did work. If you still don’t see the price reduction before submitting a payment at the final step of checkout, I’d contact ED’s support team. Cheers, Ziptie

I agree, that DMSAL has zero functionality for me with TAD SOI as of this time. With TAD SOI: *DMSLS* toggles between CEN and DEP view mode of the TAD (either your aircraft representation is centered in the TAD, which is default, or you can have your aircraft representation at the aft perimeter of the screen (which then allows for different range scales to be utilized on the TAD. This is not for EXP modes, it is for no EXP modes - to see the primary functionality of it at least. This is similar to what you can do in the F16 with the HSD). Cheers, Ziptie

So actually, CHFS with HUD SOI seems to do nothing for me - and DMSAL with TAD SOI also does nothing for me. Curious... Cheers, Ziptie

A10CII flight manual page 526: Figure 406. CCRP HUD Search and Lock Laser Designation As you have learned to laser designate a target for another aircraft or friendly entity, there may be times when another aircraft or entity may laser designate a target for you. To do so, you will use the Laser Spot Search (LSS) and Laser Spot Track (LST) modes of the TGP. Once you are tracking a laser designated target, you can then easily switch to an AREA or POINT track of that target and engage it. As with setting up your laser, the first thing you will need to do is go to the A-G Control (CNTL) page and enter the LSS code. As with the Laser code, this defaults to 1688 but any four digit code may be entered by first typing it into the scratchpad and then pressing OSB 17 (LSS). After you have set the LSS code for the laser code you want the TGP to search for, return to the main A-G page and either slew or slave the TGP line of sight to the general area you want the TGP to search for the designation laser. ****With TGP as SOI and the TGP pointed to the target area, initiate LSS mode by pressing and holding the DMS long press to the Right.**** Upon doing so, the TGP video image will freeze and you will see the Situational Awareness Cue sweep back and forth as the TGP raster scans for the designation. When a designation has been detected in the searched area at the correct code, a DETECT message will appear on the TGP. page 586: Figure 476. Maverick in Weapon Mode, Tracking 1. When the Maverick has locked on to a target, the Pointing Cross that represents the pointing angle of the Maverick in relation to the aircraft’s longitudinal axis will flash. 2. At this point you can hold down the weapon release button to launch the missile. If you have fired a Maverick from a LAU-88 launcher, the next Maverick on the launcher will automatically be selected and slewed to the last Maverick lock location. This is termed a “Quick Draw”. ****If however you wish to select a Maverick from another station, you must cycle your profile using the HUD rotary by pressing DMS Left or Right Short.**** If you wish to re-cage the Maverick seeker to its boresight position or the seeker has reached its gimbal limits, you can re-cage the seeker to boresight by pressing China Hat Aft Short. page 641: ****DMS RIGHT LONG "HOLD TO START LSS"**** ****NO LONGER VALID FUNCTIONALITY**** I'm sure the manual is a WIP, like some of the HOTAS commands in the aircraft and other things - but figured I'd throw this out there for quick reference / modification if it's wasn't already being tracked on someone's to do radar. Keep up the good work, enjoying all the new upgrades to DCS. Cheers, Ziptie

Yes, this is why I made the statement above - saying that I was unaware this was even an available command, and thanked the member who informed of it's existence............. Cheers, Ziptie

If DMSAL while TAD SOI, then yes that is for sure working. Wasn't sure if there was another function in question. With HUD SOI, if CHFS does indeed command the MAV quick select and SOI MAV - I can honestly say that I never knew this HOTAS command existed and am looking forward to trying this in the upcoming mission. Thanks! Cheers, Ziptie
-
DMSLS with TGP displayed on RMFD will bring up the TGP display on the HMCS. Will check DMSAL and CHFS functions tomorrow during mission and see if they are implemented. Can't say offhand, not sure I've every tried and need to check what SOI needs to be for the DMSAL functionality. Don't recall what the manual states that functionality is supposed to do. Cheers, Ziptie

+1 Cheers, Ziptie

Yes DMS forward long with TAD SOI doesn't command the map quick view. Yes the CMS commands are not yet updated to reflect real world functionality. Yes Coolie Switch aft short no longer swaps the two currently selected displays of the MFDs, as this command now makes the HMCS SOI. If there are other HOTAS commands missing, don't think there are too many more - not off the top of my head. Cheers, Ziptie
