  1. Just flew the Viper briefly today - did not experience the behavior you describe above. I'd check for double binds in your control settings. I absolutely have to press and hold the weapon release button to fire an air to air missile, while being in AA master mode. Outside of checking for double binds - I'd pull the "moderator suggestion" and remove any mods and run a repair of your DCS - then check again to see if it is resolved. Cheers, Ziptie https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/259236-missles-firing-when-pressing-the-a-a-mode-button-on-the-ufc/
  2. This. Side note: If you are going to be landing at a different location that your initial position - you can enter those coordinates as a waypoint (via HSI), then in FPAS display, press the OSB that corresponds with the 'up arrow' and select your new home plate (the number between the down and up arrows indicates waypoint number). For example, if waypoint 5 is your new home plate - press the up arrow (on FPAS display) until the number between the down and up arrows shows 5. (This is on the bottom right of the FPAS display). Cheers, Ziptie
  3. I have found that several training missions exhibited this behavior (past and present), for numerous aircraft modules. I believe the "fix" for it is to load the training mission, take control of the aircraft, then end the mission, then select 'fly again' rather than completely exiting. Could be wrong about the exact procedure there (as it's been quite awhile since I've attempted) - but worth a shot. Cheers, Ziptie
  4. It is indeed to better reflect real world HOTAS command. Also, Coolie Switch aft was a binding that was in use prior (on the II as well as the I), as it commanded the swap of displays on the MFDs. Cheers, Ziptie
  5. Will see if I can make one this coming week. Been busy with real life and haven't been bothered with DCS until today, where our mission went for 10 hours (without server restarts and nonsense that many or all others deal with). Did fly the A10C2 though, and seemed to be able to cycle through the applicable weapons in respective master modes as described previously - so not sure what the difficulty is. Maybe it's the weapon loadout that I use, which doesn't cause the behavior you outlined? Not sure, but if I am able to make the video, I'll post a link here. Don't hold your breath, unless you're a marine mammal, as you might run out. Cheers, Ziptie
  6. Sounds like you need to "rock the wings" of the aircraft. Check for ALG DEG below the weapon type on the DSMS (or in the bottom left of the HUD). If you fly straight and level for an extended period of time, the GBU-38 will "go to sleep." Cheers, Ziptie
  7. What is your takeoff weight? Carrier or airfield? STAB setting is what? Speed brake extended or retracted? Flaps settings? Game mode enabled or disabled? Cheers, Ziptie
  8. It's not what they look like up close, in my opinion. It's when the aircraft is 10nm away and looks like the Griswald's house in Christmas Vacation. Giant glowing orb. That's all. Cheers, Ziptie
  9. Just completed 10 take off and landings in the Hornet from the Supercarrier today - all with rearm and refuels, some switching ordinance, some simply rearming with the same loadout. Absolutely no issues whatsoever with roll / roll rate of the aircraft. Seems like an isolated incident (with your mission or not completing a procedure properly). Hopefully you can post a track replay and someone can view it and assist you with your issue. Cheers, Ziptie
  10. It's never actually "left." It seemed to have been dimmed a bit with on of the patches, but quickly was back to full bloom shortly after (see what I did there.....). Cheers, Ziptie
  11. How about you simply go to options from the main menu - go to the VR tab and uncheck VR. Then hit OK. Do your stuff in the mission editor, then go back to the options menu, VR tab and check VR. Hit ok. Reboots in VR. Or am I missing something? Cheers, Ziptie
  12. Is it possible that you have installed the AB detent incorrectly (180*) ? Have you removed the AB detent and checked the throttle percentage movement without it - if simply to verify full movement / tracking of input? Cheers, Ziptie
  13. OP said, "I don't ask for new stuff like the radio but just bug fixing." I would guess he is talking about things like, the range staple and CEP issues for certain munitions, HMCS lack of data display for player/client controlled aircraft (but for the AI it is displaye), etc etc. I am also curious if any of the 'reported' bugs are going to be addressed anytime soon. Thanks. Cheers, Ziptie
  14. It can be difficult. No question. A few things: 1. In regards to 'separating so easily' - the key to minimize this potential is to create some slack in the fuel line by created a curve, which is done by moving a little closer and a little higher once you have contacted the drogue. 2. In regards to the 'larger hit zone' - the Hornet actually does have a larger hit zone and more forgiving connection of the probe and drogue. Proof of this is the Tomcat. The Tomcat is much more sensitive and has a much smaller 'window' for the probe to drogue connection - and you can lose contact so much easier, compared to the Hornet. 3. In real life, you have much more "external effects" when AAR. For one, the drogue will float when extended - in DCS is stays in a static position in relation to the tanker wing (until you make contact). The drogue will bounce/flutter from turbulence. Also, when you contact the drogue in real life - there is a 'shock' that goes through the hose (which you can see in numerous videos on YouTube if you were so inclined). Bottom line - it takes practice, like all other things in DCS. As for the "make it easier" bit - not sure if game mode helps in this aspect or not - disclaimer I've never used game mode. Is there an unlimited fuel option to check somewhere in the options menu? Could be another way to get around the issue - this would allow you to not worry about running out of fuel when trying to make contact (or allow you to complete missions). If you are trying to contact the left drogue of the tanker - I recommend trying to fly the '10' into the opening of the pod where the drogue extends from (this is the right 10 on the pitch ladder, positive rate of climb 10 number - not the descent rate of 10 number). This gives a better distance reference and keeps your eyes from focusing on the drogue and probe. Once you have contact, just get that little bit of slack in the fuel line and pick a reference point on the wing of the tanker to maintain your distance to. This is just formation flying once you've got contact. Speaking of formation flying - that is arguably the best practice you can get, in preparation for AAR. Small constant movements of the throttle and stick (this actually helps to mitigate PIO's) and try to lighten your grip on the stick and throttle. Don't forget to breathe. This may sound silly, but I assure you it isn't at all - and is very good 'basic' advice. Stay with it, it can be frustrating at first but is very satisfying once you've had a complete transfer - and it will get easier and easier. Cheers Ziptie
  15. It does indeed, as another stated - even though FOV has no functionality with an AGM65 laser variant. Apparently they've stated this is correct behavior. Seems exceptionally odd to me as well, and if were a system I designed - certainly wouldn't have programmed it that way (in real life). Cheers, Ziptie
  16. Make sure trim RWD isn't bound to one of the diagonal positions on the trim hat. I noticed that I had accidentally bound it to UP+RIGHT when assigning key binds to an aircraft at one point. I actually didn't realize that the trim switch was 8 way hat switch on the Warthog stick up to that point. Hope that is it. ALSO: You press FCS reset rather than T/O TRIM when trying to revert back to take off trim (I assume that is what you were trying to accomplish as a last ditch effort). Cheers, Ziptie
  17. Works perfectly for me (VR user). If you have a Maverick selected - the RAID/FLIR FOV button will not work to change from WIDE/NAR view (or change the TGP image from CCD to thermal imaging). Cheers, Ziptie
  18. I've never had a weapon release from the Hornet (or any other aircraft), without pressing the weapon release button or the trigger. Sounds like an issue with your HOTAS or some kind of a double binding to me. Cheers, Ziptie
  19. Think you put CBU-12 instead of CBU-87, yeah? Nice list though, no doubt a help for newer A10C pilots or pilots who fly many different airframes and might forget what they have at their disposal. Cheers, Ziptie
  20. And I've appreciated the help you've given me (and others) in regards to mapping some of these. Much appreciated. Cheers, Ziptie
  21. Until their "internally fixed" version comes out to the public: You can press and hold OSB 14, select MAV from the DTS, then press OSB 14 again. This will now place the MAV screen on the right MFD and you can continue with the training mission (to get yourself practice/training). This is also a good thing to know, being able to place different sensor displays on different screens (in the case of a fault or damage, etc etc). Cheers and happy hunting, Ziptie
  22. You don't even have to place the TDC over it. With TDC priority assigned to the RDR ATTK display, simply press SCS in the direction that the RDR ATTK display is on - and it will STT lock that track (the track with the green cross/plus that you are referencing). It's FACQ / AACQ - as another stated, of a high priority track file. That being said, it can be a friendly track - so use caution before employing a weapon (i.e be sure proper IFF procedure). Cheers, Ziptie
  23. With external lights toggled on (switch on port side of throttle), with the fuel probe extended, the basket is still illuminated - yes. Disable external lights, switch on port side of throttle - basket illumination ceases. Has worked the same for the better part of a year at least (possibly since initial release). Cheers, Ziptie
  24. Sounds similar, hopefully the same thing - as you say, you've marked this thread as reported - guessing the link above is the other thread you are referencing. Cheers, Ziptie
