  1. Once you’ve been cleared contact - they will function. You don’t have to do anything else. Cheers, Ziptie
  2. TMS forward long definitely still sets SPI. Cheers, Ziptie
  3. This has been requested several times, in several threads - but has so far been unacknowledged / added. Cheers, Ziptie
  4. Glad you got it sorted. Although my post wasn't "directed" at you in this thread, would have been great if you noticed it sooner. Again, glad you got it sorted. Cheers, Ziptie
  5. Unknown. Will have to test it, won't be back to fly until next week. Cheers, Ziptie
  6. I would think you should - and you could put a link to this thread in your bug report as well. They typically want a track to go with a bug report - so might be worth you including one in that bug report... I believe that they have "reported" the failure to refill the external tanks when rearm/refuel - but "reported" was back in November - with no real follow up / update. Cheers, Ziptie
  7. Negative. Only the first image is for A/A (although I am unsure whether Wags has a pod in his A/A part of the video). All the rest are showing A/G TXDSG(s). For that symbology in A/G designation, yes, you must have the FLIR. Cheers, Ziptie
  8. Don't beat yourself up, glad you sorted it out. Sometimes settings in DCS can be "tricky." Cheers, Ziptie
  9. Which mission is it - in the Raven One campaign? I'll give it a try on my end and see if it replicates. (You can disregard the same question in the other thread, or this one a reply there - whichever works for you). I completed the Raven One campaign already, but that was prior to this update. Would like to see if I can replicate. DCS updates can definitely "break" things. Cheers, Ziptie
  10. Sounds like an error with that particular mission/campaign. Which one is it? Cheers, Ziptie
  11. Have you possibly bound settings to sim, while having "game mode" enabled in your main menu? I'm not sure that "game mode" is really enabled in any mulitplayer server - but will default to that if you are playing single player (and have it checked in the main menu options screen). Worth double checking..... There are two separate categories for keybinds for the Hornet - Hornet sim and Hornet game/easy (can't recall which). Cheers, Ziptie
  12. Do you have your RDR ATTK in TWS? Do you have all IFF options boxed like Wags does? Do you have L&S on a track with your RDR ATTK display? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The square shown here on the SA page indicated where the FLIR is looking. Do you have the targeting pod on your aircraft, it is ON (not in standby and actually displaying an image)? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did you WYPTDSG? That is required to get the "diamond" (also the FLIR is looking at the same point which is why the square is centered inside the diamond). Cheers, Ziptie
  13. I have it mapped as another here does. Forward (the toggle position) to retract/off. (I think this is your issue) Middle position has no bind assigned in Hornet controls Aft (the momentary switch) to extend. Works just fine for me - works the exact same as it did when the Hornet was first released in pre-purchase period (a year ago or whenever that was now). For the record - I don't have to hold "shift" as you say in your post....... No idea why one would assign that, seems incredibly odd. I also agree with another, you keybinds don't look correct - but I don't use TARGET software, as it seems to have zero benefit for DCS. Cheers, Ziptie
  14. Weirder things have happened in DCS....... I promise. Honestly though, I really think it's flaps related sir/ma'am. I just tested it, and when I have FLAPS FULL (on launch and during flight) - I experience the same issue you describe. Also, in the photo you report that everything is "fine" - the flaps are at HALF rather than FULL. Honestly, the flaps should only be in FULL upon landing, not even in take off, and as soon as you clear the deck on launch from the carrier - you should move the gear lever up and then immediately move the flaps to AUTO (or once you've got positive rate from an airbase runway and move the gear lever up). Try that if the key bind check doesn't produce any result(s). Again, I launched with FLAPS in FULL and left them there - I experienced the exact same thing as you report (which would be expected). Cheers, Ziptie
  15. I see that this thread is labeled as "set flaps to half" - which really goes along with my recommendation in the other thread that you have mentioned your issue in. My recent comment of suggestion to you there: Other than the flaps being incorrect in the pictures you've included - my secondary recommendation goes along the lines of what the person above has suggested (regarding input checks). Cheers, Ziptie
  16. I am amazed that you are able to have the external fuel tanks refill once you are on the ground (unless you are jettisoning them all during flight). If you leave them on the aircraft, then land with them empty - the ground crew will not even refill them, so you have to "remove them" then have them reinstalled. (This isn't even just isolated to the Hornet, it's across all aircraft). Very annoying. In most servers, this isn't an issue and you just punch the bags off as soon as they are empty. In our server, every resource/store is limited in quantity, so we only punch the bags if we are in an emergency situation (whether that is getting jumped in a dogfight or a failure on the aircraft). Your observation/complaint certainly sounds like a bug. Cheers, Ziptie
  17. Oh, ok - I was just going off the pictures you included (both in which the FLAPS were in FULL). Really not sure what it could be - I use the TMWH and have zero issues with it (for any aircraft). I've taken off from the carrier and from air bases (as recent as yesterday) - no issue whatsoever. Possible that a double bind in the general "tab" has occurred with the last update and causing a ghost double bind that isn't super obvious? General=>Axis=> check throttle axis bind. Clear it (if one is present). Try again. Cheers, Ziptie
  18. Your flaps are down (full). This is indicated by "FLAPS" in yellow to the left of the IFEI, the RUD both 30* "in" on the FCS (and visually with your MK I eyeballs outside the cockpit. Try setting the flaps to AUTO after you are off the deck, I typically put the gear up and then toggle the flaps in one movement of the hand. Cheers, Ziptie
  19. Agreed, this problem has been present for as long as I can remember now. Really, really, really annoying. @BIGNEWY or @NineLine - one of you gentlemen able to "re-report" this or put this into the 2.5 bug section, rather than an aircraft specific bug channel please? This is a very large issue, since it effects all aircraft. Doesn't appear to discriminate in regards to aircraft, map, time of day, land or sea. Thank you for your time. Cheers, Ziptie
  20. This. The Hornet, with position lights moved one single increment from the off position - looks like a Christmas tree. And please don't change the Viper to mimic the Hornet's lighting ED - please change the Hornet to mimic the Viper's lighting. Cheers, Ziptie
  21. Look on www.digitalcombatsimulator.com - couldn't seem to find it. Where did you purchase? Disregard. Cheers, Ziptie
  22. My F16 does this when shut down. Not sure why a few of you have said it doesn't for you.... Have you shut the aircraft down, or are you expecting this behavior when the aircraft is still running? Like the person posted above, all seems correct/normal for me......... Cheers, Ziptie
  23. The F-15EX will be able to carry as many as 22 AIM-9X Sidewinder and AMRAAM medium range air-to-air missiles. The aircraft has 11 hard points on the underside. It's amazing what you can find with the internet. Everything on the internet is true. All that being said, my home state is the first to be getting the EX ( 142d FW (PANG) and 123d FW (Kingsley) ) Cheers, Ziptie
  24. This is an issue for ALL aircraft that I own (except for the A10C as I never take an external fuel tank for it - but I suspect it would be the same result). This bug exists for F16C Blk 50, F/A-18C Lot 20, F-14B. Rearm and refuel via ground crew, get the copy. Ground crew refuels the internal fuel tanks, rearms all stations - but if empty fuel tanks are on the aircraft, they remain empty. You then have to "remove" the external fuel tanks via ground crew. Wait for them to be removed and "rearming complete" - then back into ground crew and add the external fuel tanks back to the appropriate stations - then once "rearm complete" - your external fuel tanks are full. Very annoying bug, been present for ages. Using most current version of OpenBeta (as of 20210126). No mods. Repair run, no errors. Cheers, Ziptie
