Running VR, PC specs below (and my graphics card is very much sub standard for what I am running). I do not notice any FPS drop when using the Maverick and the TGP at the same time in the A10C II (really dislike we need to clarify the II now). Don't have a quick screen shot of my in game settings, but I know the first two settings are on high (textures), visible range is high, shadows are medium, heat blur is low, in cockpit screen res is 1024, terrain shadows are default, preload radius is maxed, along with the slider just above it (tree visibility?). Not sure what else I forgot. Oddly enough, my performance went up when I increased the textures from med and low to high and high, along with further performance improvements when changing the shadows from low to medium and terrain shadows from flat to default. Hadn't quite wrapped my head around why, but another person mentioned I might have discovered where a hardware bottleneck was by doing that - either way I won't be adjusting those settings from their present state. Hope something in there helped. EDIT: Due to the new forum "feature" where it magically disables signatures..................... :music_whistling: PC SPECS: i7 6700 @4ghz, 32GB HyperX Fury ddr4-2133 ram, GTX980, Oculus Rift CV1, 2x400 gig SSD drives (one soley for DCS OpenBeta standalone) Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs Cheers, Ziptie

reported CCIP Bomb Fall Line horizontal - after full alignment
Ziptie replied to MirrorNext's topic in Bugs and Problems
Do you have an advisory on the left DDI, like P/INS by chance? Is your INS knob in the NAV or IFA position? Cheers, Ziptie -
Could be, I'm not very versed in mission editor stuff. Cheers, Ziptie

It's interesting that in the Raven One campaign, the AI do abide the traffic patterns on departure and landing. Seems it is possible for AI to follow procedures, just seems there are requirements in mission editor (or further into coding) to get this to happen. Cheers, Ziptie

@BIGNEWY or @NineLine Any input on this thread for the OP - seems as though he's followed his suspected bug for quite some time and being patient. Figured it was worth a shot tagging you to try for assistance. Cheers, Ziptie

New Kneeboard display/control functions are outstanding
Ziptie replied to streakeagle's topic in DCS 2.9
Don't know about multi monitor, as I use VR - but for me you just click the border of the kneeboard to move it and/or adjust the size of it. I don't know how things work in the 2d world for DCS though, so I suppose there could be a difference in functionality. Cheers, Ziptie -

I use the scratchpad mod, not sure if it works without VR - but I don't see why it wouldn't. Best part about that, is that it saves everything that you've entered - so there are coordinates that I entered over a year ago, literally, that are still present when I RCtrl+RShift+X to open the scratchpad. It's a massive tool to have at your disposal. It also has a function, where if coordinates are displayed (like when a JTAC nine line is given), you can press the icon on the scratchpad and it automatically copies it all over). It also works in F10 map view, which can be exceptionally handy. I'd highly recommend it. Cheers, Ziptie -
Glad you got it sorted out, happy employing for mavericks sir! Cheers, Ziptie

It definitely puts the super carrier comms in text format in the top left hand corner for me, so you should get what you are after by enabling the subtitles. Cheers, Ziptie

It might have just been the HMD not fully blanking and I was seeing the cross hair / gate from the HMD and not the HMD LOS. Cheers, Ziptie

Haven't noticed a difference here. Cheers, Ziptie

Yes, and in the Hornet you've actually been able to create a 'shortcut page' and cycle through them for many many months now. With the standard cycling through pages, standard [ and ] keys to cycle. Go to Hornet SIM category, then kneeboard sub category, look for the three options labeled shortcut, previous shortcut, next shortcut. You can then cycle between them without using the mouse. [EARLY ACCESS IS A LONG PROCESS]F-16C Forgotten about again
Ziptie replied to Droning_On's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
You can simply ask a moderator to close your thread, then this flame fest can cease to clutter people's forum list...... @BIGNEWY - seems like OP would be thrilled with it. Cheers, Ziptie -
[ALREADY REPORTED]Aim-9 missiles Helmet mounted sight bugged?
Ziptie replied to D4n's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ah, yeah that will probably do it. At least it isn't an isolated issue for just the F16, but in a way it is a bummer that it isn't just isolated to the F16 - if you know what I mean. Hopefully this leads to a quicker fix - as it is incredibly difficult to manage with this bug. Cheers, Ziptie -

Ziptie replied to D4n's topic in Bugs and Problems
Fair enough, at least you tried - however using the search field in the top right for the forum did yield the results for me, odd. Also, at least it's been reported and hopefully a fix coming soon. Cheers, Ziptie -

Good investigating and glad you've sorted out the issue. I am with you, in not knowing if this is proper modeling or not though. Cheers, Ziptie

[ALREADY REPORTED]Aim-9 missiles Helmet mounted sight bugged?
Ziptie replied to D4n's topic in Bugs and Problems
This has been this way since the newest update. There are several reports on it, it's been confirmed reported by ED. A quick search would have netted you this information sir. It effects all aircraft and all AIM9 variants. https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/englis...ss-the-horizon or https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/englis...ine-with-jhmcs Cheers, Ziptie -
I'm not sure if the 'subtitles' check box, that is in the settings/options tab from the DCS main menu, will work for all radio communications or not. I've turned that on for a few missions to help with clarifying what I am being tasked to do - but don't think it works for what your wingman calls, for example... But you might try that and see if it accomplishes what you are looking for. Cheers, Ziptie

Also, which maverick are you using? If you are doing the steps above, and are still getting the launch inhibit warning, make sure you haven't selected a TGM variant, otherwise they will never leave the rail (it's a training variant). Cheers, Ziptie

I don't know that it will make a big difference for the "issue" with the extreme sensitivity with the HUD TDC designation movement, you are correct there - as much more "schizo" compared to the FLIR TDC designation movement. I think I saw another mod for the TDC besides Deltasim - but it didn't appear to be the same quality. There are a couple guys I fly with in our server who have the DS mod and they rave about it. Also agree, the wait list was massive when I last checked - but that's been several months now. Hopefully soon. Cheers, Ziptie

Would probably need to see a track file of your cold start procedure to flesh out an error that you might be making. Nothing should be conflicting when your AI flight lead starts up. Might seem like a dumb question - but are you pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for a second, after pressing the D/L button, on the UFC? Does the UFC display "ON" in the far left of the digital display on the UFC? Cheers, Ziptie
-
The Deltasim upgrade is next on my purchase list, for this very reason. The stock TMWH TDC is a 'track ball' It's a pain sometimes. If you haven't used one, you might be considered both lucky and unlucky. It's a love hate relationship sometimes, at least for me. Cheers, Ziptie
