  1. :megalol: I've been there as well. Cheers, Ziptie
  2. There is, if you wish to avoid cycling through all the weapon profiles. Doing it the way I outlined separates profiles established via DSMS - but you are correct, you can cycle through weapon profiles in numerous ways. The steps I outlined are my preference. It's the fastest way for me to accomplish it, and how my flow goes. My loadout consists of 2x AGM65G, 2x CBU105, 2x GBU12, 7 APKS, 2xAIM9M. After setting up my profiles via DSMS: Master mode CCIP, DMS L/R cycles between AGM65 & APKS. Master mode CCRP, DMS L/R cycles between CBU105 & GBU12. For me it's faster to accomplish this in the manner I outlined. For you, maybe not. For another, maybe not. For another, maybe. For the OP who seems to be struggling with the HOTAS commands in the A10C - now he has your suggested method, mine and others. Undoubtedly the OP will find a flow that works for them. After all, that is why there are numerous ways to achieve the same goal in the A10C. Cheers, Ziptie
  3. Glad you got it sorted out, happy employing of freedom in the future! Cheers, Ziptie
  4. With MAV SOI are you depressing TMS FORWARD SHORT after the maverick has slaved to the SPI? Within LAR (reference range staple)? I employed 10 mavericks (all G variants), across 5 flights today with zero issues - slaving the Maverick seeker head to SPI each time. Cheers, Ziptie
  5. You can do this with the countermeasures, externally via editing the .lua file. ALE40Vparam (trying to remember off memory for the file name). I never have to adjust the countermeasure(s) profiles in game, they are set to what I want them to be. I have not messed with DSMS weapon profile customization externally, via any .lua files - but wouldn't be surprised if they are there. Will do a quick search tomorrow before I start flying in our mission and see if I can find it and will direct you to it if they exist and am able to find them. Cheers, Ziptie
  6. Short answer is no. Other than being able to cycle the master mode button (which will go from NAV, GUN, CCIP, CCRP - then next depression will return to NAV - press and hold for A/A mode) no. 1. Ideally, you would have your intended target VID'd (this is typically done at a safe range) 2. Have sensor of your choice on that target, generated SPI 3. Quick coolie switch forward/up for HUD SOI 4. Master mode to desired category (GUN/CCIP/CCRP) 5. DMS left or right to select desired weapon. 6. Roll in and get on final attack heading. 7. Master ARM on (if I intend on using GAU-8, I cycle GUNPAC ARM prior to Master ARM on). 8. Employ weapon. Excluding step #1 above, steps 2-5 typically take less than 3 seconds (once you are versed with the A10C). Realistically, after VID'ing the target and generating a SPI - you should immediately call up the weapon profile that best suits the attack while setting up for the attack run - which typically involves extending to some degree, which not only allows you to have a few extra moments to call up the best suited weapon profile - but allows you to determine the best final attack heading as well. DMS aft long will command DSMS display on both MFDs, however if you are going to use a profile that you have customized, you'll need to select the profile, via the profile OSB, then scroll to the desired profile, then selecting via ACT PRO OSB - which is cumbersome and requires you to take a hand off the HOTAS. Once you have spent enough time in the pit, the HOTAS commands are actually very intuitive - but it does require you to develop that flow, which comes at a shorter or greater amount of time depending on experience, confidence and skill. Stay after it, it will come! Cheers, Ziptie
  7. Isn't the abort takeoff option still available via the radio menu, F5 (ATC), F2 Abort takeoff? Could have sworn I saw it there three days ago.. I will be flying tomorrow and certainly double check. Will report back if you aren't able to verify/deny this. Cheers, Ziptie
  8. https://discord.gg/hYXTK5Jg Have a look at the rules, mission overview and chain of command sections upon joining server. We have an op going tomorrow, starting at 1800z (1000 pacific). Mix of UK and US pilots. A truly dynamic server like none other. Cheers, Ziptie
  9. @BIGNEWY - probably worth adding this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-a-10c-ii-tank-killer/controller-questions-and-bugs/7140654-keybind-to-power-on-the-hmcs into this thread..... Seems a wish list item for the moment and not a controller question / bug. Cheers, Ziptie
  10. Well, sometimes people don't see things - so please don't take offense that I pointed that out. As for the second part of his "question" - I didn't answer that because I don't understand what he is even asking. Stepping out - don't be so sensitive, I've never called you stupid. (remember our PM conversation? Just checking....) Cheers, Ziptie
  11. Sounds great sir, and I think you are making the correct steps in the learning process. Have fun, enjoy the learning curve and stay motivated to continue learning - it pays off for things outside of DCS even. Cheers, Ziptie
  12. Copy that sir. Cheers, Ziptie
  13. Fair enough, sounds like it's probably the issue with the AGR - most likely contributing to the issue in both cases. Apologies for assuming you were using the FLIR in conjunction with the HMD. Cheers, Ziptie
  14. You can make a flight plan - and you can make target points. With the CDU in FLT PLAN position, it will show waypoints you have setup as part of the flight plan. With the CDU in MISSION position, it will show the flight plan waypoints, as well as the target waypoints (and airfield locations). You can enter this data, via the CDU while on the ground (or in the air). Unsure whether you can set this up via the Mission Editor, as I don't every use the Mission Editor - lucky to have a server I fly in where the mission is truly dynamic and things are very fluid (i.e constantly evolving threat). Cheers, Ziptie
  15. Copy that. I use gamma of 1.5, so similar there. I also use the green filter on the flashlight, but rarely use the flood lights (not sure if that's what you meant by night light). Not sure what VR you use, I use the original Rift CV1 (not the greatest headset out there by any means) - so I suppose it could be down to the difference in the headsets. Hope you can find a good solution to your issue. Cheers, Ziptie
  16. Not really. It takes approximately 3 minutes to cool down the seeker head on the IR Maverick for the F/A-18C, as well as the A-10C. While neither of those two aircraft have to boresight those weapons in relation to the TGP - they do not fire "straight away." Cheers, Ziptie
  17. Because it says your 'join date' below your user name, on the left side of the forum...... Hence the 16 years reference. Cheers, Ziptie
  18. If you are just trying to get a bearing and range of your location to bullseye, you can press the anchor button, which would be above the TISL in the variant of A10C that you are referencing (I fly the 'II' exclusively now), and it will display the bearing and range on the right side of the HUD. Another member above has highlighted an excerpt from the manual that does properly explain using the TAD for what you are requesting as well. Cheers, Ziptie
  19. +1 to be removed. Absolutely terrible distraction when using VR and at night - it's ridiculously bright. Please add option to remove the overlay. Thank you. Cheers, Ziptie
  20. You are not doing anything wrong. There are numerous threads on this already. It's a bug, that has been acknowledged and hopefully addressed soon by ED. In the interim - after you've designated via HMD, TDC priority to FLIR and 'bump the tdc' or change from INR to ATRK or PTRK to get the FLIR (TGP) to keep from drifting. Quick search would have netted you: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/7143660-reported-tgt-designation-drifts-when-jhmcs-on https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/7143496-hmd-designated-target-is-constantly-shifting#post7145788 and a few more I believe. You're not alone, and already marked as [REPORTED] Cheers, Ziptie
  21. Guessing you don't use VR? With VR, NVG's display in both eyes and has zero impact on using the HMCS. That being said, sometimes I think it'd be better to only have it in one eye so you can still view sensor displays inside the cockpit - as in current format you need to disable them to do that. Cheers, Ziptie
  22. Feel free to PM me with questions regarding the A10C I/II and any functions, happy to help. Cheers, Ziptie
  23. "Blinking" L, or a flashing L means the laser is firing. You change the modes (laser, IR pointer, both) with DMSRS with TGP as SOI. Cheers, Ziptie
  24. Ah, copy that. Maybe one day. Cheers, Ziptie
