All the alien stuff is hidden inside Xillon's head . Too bad that leaves no room for rationality , logic or critical thinking .

ROFL !

True that . Tried a "long" repair ?

Farther city/runway lighting render distance
Svsmokey replied to Nealius's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Seems a reasonable request to me... -
Have you tried deleting fxo and metashader files ? Lowering the cloud quality ? Were you running the same mission before the update ? I have read before of flak being problematic , thus the last question .

Tragic , particularly as it has hit so hard countries leading the way on addressing climate change . Sincerest condolences...

Mar 2019 here , and you're right . It never gets old . Just taxiing to the runway is a thrill . I feel as if i'm controlling a powerful machine , no less than i did on a bada** motorcycle . Amazing

Will the M1X drag players to Mac ?

Yeah Windows is a major pain . Quick question please . Have you ever run Windows Lite with DCS ? I have considered doing so , but do not wish to undertake such a daunting process without hearing someone's experience as to its effects on DCS . -
I find the comments countering the op to be such a stretch as to strain credulity . In my opinion , they really reflect a sense of elitism held by the posters , rather than an attempt to sincerely engage . Elite flight simmers...for god's sake , it's a game (tho even i like to differentiate between flight-simming and gaming) . No one is going to win the Collier prize here !

Yes , there is . You can access it either via updater command line , or as i have , via Skatezilla's most useful updater utility . Having link problems , go to first post in the thread .

You can always revert to an earlier version...

to the owners of Reverb G2 and Valve Index...
Svsmokey replied to MrFlatfoot's topic in Virtual Reality
Yeah , facing the same problem soon . Facebook is a no-go for me , Index has no better res than my S , Reverb too much tweaking and I hate to reward HTC for a lazy upgrade and lousy attitude towards consumers . Index 2 would be great , but time is running out... Took my inaugural flight in the Marianas yesterday , parked wingtip-to-wingtip next to a F-15E , and while the model looked much better than previously experienced statics in the Caucasus , i couldn't read anything on what I presumed to be that large Tactical Air Command badge on the side of the aircraft . MSAAx4 (i hate sparklies and shimmering) , DCS pd 1.3-4 , Radeon sharpening 80 % , ground textures low . -
I must say that i found Marianas performance in VR to be much less of an issue than expressed in this forum . During a FF (F18) by way of an introduction to the map , flying low and high , I only had 1 stutter . One thing I found interesting was that after landing at Anderson , I noted how much better the F15E's looked compared to the statics at Kolki . ED really nailed the cars too . As a tower crane rep IRL , i was surprised to see how much more vibrant car colors looked from ~ 1200 feet . I see the same in the Marianas map .

Beginner hotas sub $200
Svsmokey replied to Penguinonice27's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I personally find them great (note sig). Last forever , high-quality switches and plenty of them . If you can get a Pro throttle and stick for $220 , go for it . -

Thrustmaster T1600m . Doesn't have enough buttons , but it's the only unit available that offers throttle and stick (and rudder control for that matter) at your price point afaik . Hall sensors are another plus . -
Been a while since i used TrackIr , but i recall no such setting , nor would i expect one . The primary purpose of rotational acceleration is to allow you to view the screen while looking over your shoulder , so to speak . This would not apply to linear movements , wherein the screen remains in view .
