Not to my knowledge , but windows will put usb's to sleep . Check usb power settings .

Game vs sim mode ?

The OB update previous to last works best for me...

Had the issue yesterday running latest stable , when hitting "escape" . Instantly had out of focus , and alt+tab didn't help . Hit "escape" again to get back in sim . After doing this 3-4 times , i finally was able to select an option in the 2d window . Ran the previous OB update without issue afterwards .

You will not have a satisfactory experience with the Reverb/1070 Even the recommended-minimum 1080 is insufficient in DCS , which needs a lot of AA or SS or both . 1080ti will do . I am running a 1070 with a Rift S , at a pd of 1.0 , and consider the gpu the minimum for that headset .The Reverb has 2.5 times the pixels of a Rift S . (And a 12.5% higher refresh rate)

Yeah , i just use the mouse on the 2d screen for anything i need to do in Oculus . Can't launch sims in it anyway since last update , so no controllers , no loss .

Was flying that WW1 sim today in VR , and noticed the wind noise as i moved my head from behind the windshield . It got progressively louder the further out-of-position.i got . Very cool . You can certainly tell when you're in high-alpha (or if the leading-edge slats are out) with the Hornet by the sound-also very cool .

Maybe the best thing about it is flying all around the ISS , viewing it from every angle .

Yeah , gonna be a lot more need for this when G2 lands !

CH is good . Don't know about availability at the moment . My whole set including pedals was about $400 .

Crew Dragon footage aired last night showed a crew-controlled docking screen . Which is not to say that normal operation will or will not use the Canadarm .

Didn't do the last update for OB , as i read of a lot of targeting pod bugs (Hornet) . So now i have the unusual situation of my stable build being later than my OB :)

It means nothing to most of us ! I'd be a dead man if the wife caught me spending 10k on a headset and card to run it :)

My ears do not accept earbuds very well , so i wear a Razr Kraken headset over my halo . Although i have no problems with fitment , i do find that the cables invariably get tangled . Taking the headset and the Razr off as a unit works much better , but must be done with care to avoid dropping one or the other . No experience with the Vive . The Rift S is supposed to have 110 fov measured diagonally . Does the Vive spec measure horizontally ? I am leaving Oculus , after owning both the CV1 and the Rift S . HP has very aggressively addressed all the Reverb's shortcomings with the G2 , while Oculus still can't be bothered to provide an oem audio solution for the S . Quite a contrast .

HP claimed in an MRTV interview that the controller tracking is as good as a Rift S .

Just found that post you were referencing . It refers to the DCS download size , which is quite large in this open beta release prolly due to the new lighting and possibly supercarrier support . the installed size , however , is not that much bigger . Moot point with the stable release today , but may prevent confusion in the future . Still highly recommend the utility though....
