Is the hard sound loop when in the external view of the F-14 going to be smoothed out in the future? Also, when going into the Fly-by view, there is about one second time interval where you there is no sound at all.
-
So you can only try one aircraft at a time? I'm trying the Super Carrier. So I can't try an aircraft?
-
Is the new external audio from the engine accurate? It sounds almost like a grinding noise.

Did a few more tests. So far, running DCS in Windows 8 compatibility mode has been the only way I've been able to avoid any crashing. The instability might have something to do with the recent Windows 10 update.
-
So I started running DCS in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Water set to Medium. I haven't experience a crash so far after flying around in two different modules.

Tried maxing out my preload radius then restarted DCS. Still getting crashes after every mission. dcs.log-20210529-141551.zip

I unchecked Fullscreen the other day. Had no affect. I did update my nvidia drivers today but I've been experiencing constant crashes that got worse after the latest ED patch.

DCS is virtually unplayable now with the constant crashes I'm experiencing. dcs.log-20210528-195919.zip

So I tried doing preset graphics on high and still got a crash right after exiting the mission. Only solution I have not tried is doing a clean reinstall of DCS. dcs.log-20210528-195919.zip

I've pretty much shelved DCS for the time being. Waiting until ED can fix these crashes as everything I've tried has only been a temporary solution. Nothing that has lasted longer than a few days at most before the crashes return.

Tried a Slow Repair and even periodically cleaning my shaders but still getting crashes. These usually occur when leaving an MP server or switching from one single player mission to another.
-
I also ran into the camera issue in the terminal phase. One thing I am curious about is can you use TOO mode as a fire-and-forget or do you need to keep the missile connected to the data-link all the way to the designated waypoint? Asking cause I can't get the PP mode to really work. Not sure if I missing something in the coordinates I input.
-
How do you do a "Slow Repair"?
-
I was thinking the same as above as far as the utilization of the SLAM-ER. Against a target defended by older air defenses, it's fine but if there is a Tor or S300, there is going to have to be some house cleaning of the area before you can try firing it.
-
I'm assuming this is going to be an early to mid 2000s F-15E?
-
Just curious but is there anyway to remove the dorsal hump on the back of the A-4?
-
Still getting crashes in SP when I switch between different missions and aircraft. Happened twice when I was trying to fly a Mirage mission after flying the Hornet.

Can't go back using the litening.. ATFLIR all the way
CarbonFox replied to Mizrach's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Being slimmer, does the ATFLIR produce less drag than the Litening pod? -
Some electronic bits aside. Earlier F-14As used the P-412A version of the TF30 engines while the later models were equipped with the P-414A which was meant to fix some of the issues found in the TF30-equiped F-14.

Placed the A-4 into the Mods/aircraft folder in my Saved Games folder. I had performed a cleanup and repair of DCS a few days ago. Not sure if that's playing a part in the mod not appearing at all. UPDATE: Nevermind. I got it working.
-
So I removed the A-4E mod after trying to solve a crashing issue in DCS. After finally resolving the issues, I attempted to put the A-4 mod folders back into the Saved Games Mod folder where they were before but the A-4 does not appear anymore in game. Not sure what I might be doing wrong.

Game crashes randomly - mods are not the case!
CarbonFox replied to skywalker22's topic in Game Crash
Cleaned out the metashader2 and fxo folders. So far, I haven't experienced a single crash since. -
Just curious. Was the A-4E ever fitted with the improved P-408 version of the J52 engine with 11,200 pounds of thrust?
