  1. I'd welcome both although getting the Su-24M would balance things out alittle better between Blue and Red seeing as how we're getting the F-15E eventually.
  2. So I'm looking at finally upgrading to a HOTAS setup after solely relying on my Saitek Evo flight stick + keyboard for 15 years. :joystick: I'm looking at picking up the Thrustmaster TWCS throttle (when it's available) and am curious as to what other owners think of it. Also, I know this is a stupid question but are their potential technical issues in pairing my current flight stick with a completely different brand throttle?
  3. It's still the Thunderbolt II to me. Just like the F-16 is still the Fighting Falcon. Still, the name ED uses doesn't change what I'll be doing with the A-10C.
  4. If they nerfed the AIM-120s seeker, ED could have atleast returned the rocket motor run time back to what it was prior.
  5. Nice mockup. Now do one for the Sparrowhawk HUD in the front.:D
  6. Wasn't the HGU-68 helmet standard by 1997 which the F-14A/B is modeled?
  7. So in short. BTRs, BMPs and Shilka's will be toast to this.
  8. So, you don't need the TGP to use them?
  9. I'm assuming the GBU-39 is ideal for tank plinking, if it had been implemented.
  10. Just 10 bucks? Sign me Up!
  11. Which A-6E version will the AI be: the TRAM, WCSI or SWIP? The A-6E SWIP got alot of the modern goodies (HARM, AGM-84, Maverick, etc.)
  12. On sound improvements. Will these include better flyby sound effects much like ED has done with the Hornet's howl effect? As I remember, the GE-equipped Tomcat produced a stark howl/thrumb effect in certain maneuvers. I also hope water vapor/shock cone effects become of a thing at some point.:D
  13. Planning to upgrade from my Ryzen 1600 to the new Zen3 Ryzen (probably the inevitable 4700X) end of the year.
  14. Thanks for the input. I was under the impression originally that 4K would make spotting easier but I guess not. I'm using a 24 inch 1080p monitor.
  15. Just curious. Does a 4K monitor make a big difference in DCS as far as spotting distant aircraft sooner than with an FHD monitor? I've been thinking about upgrading.
  16. To be honest. I'm more interested in JDAM and JSOW for the F-16 just because, like with the Hornet, these weapons will provide better standoff range for the F-16 than the Maverick. Especially when you factor in the Viper's ability to accelerate better than the Hornet.
  17. So the PTID is the screen at the top?
  18. While I'm glad it appears they are making a full-fidelity Fulcrum. I can't help but wish it would be the somewhat more capable Mig-29S for the R-77.
  19. I haven't tried it against multiple bandits but I did try the instant action mission against a pair of Fulcrums. Did a TWS lock at 45nm on one and the AIM-54 tracked the whole way.
  20. I'm surprised the AGM-84H/K will not be included.:(
  21. I'd imagine Boeing not being willing to sell the license has much to do with the current geopolitical climate.
  22. I would just like to see all the current Navy units brought up to a higher fidelity. The Kirov and Krivak haven't changed since LOMAC. That being said, I'd love to see more units: LCAC, Kresta, Sovremenny. For a Cold War scenario, I think the Kiev CV would be a great addition to DCS.
  23. If ED can't even do a Block I F/A-18E/F Super Hornet or 2010 spec F-16C, you're not going to see the Raptor or F-35.
  24. Didn't get much time to test but I did get a few Phoenix's off and didn't have my lock broken immediately after launch like what was happening before.
  25. While there are numerous reasons to be attributed to the demise of the Tomcat in service. I think we can agree that naval aircraft in general just have a shorter shelf-life than land-based aircraft. Even the much newer Legacy Hornet has been replaced among carrier-based squadrons by the Super Bug. I realize the Hornet still serves with USMC and among USN aggressor squadrons.
