  1. You have to use the Saitek profile utility to do that. But it works fine.
  2. I just modded the "HB_F14_RadioNoise.wav" - took it down to about 10% of its original gain - and now have no problems with Jester at all. It sounds very natural, believable, and non-ear-drum-destroying.
  3. It's good they had them ready to go then. Their timing on these was both impeccable and desperately needed. Glad it's moving forwards. (Incidentally, and I know this isn't the correct forum for this, but whenever I hit preview post, the editor seems to add extra carriage returns. Does this happen to anyone else? And if anyone has a link to a solution could you send it my way? Cheers)
  4. I'm not suggesting that all these were coded in the last week, no. However I take anything Ron says with Dead Sea quantities of NaCl. The entire year of Harrier patch notes looks like this: Combined with almost total radio silence on the AV-8B forum on the part of the developers. Yesterday's patch looks like: And we have a new community manager who is actively posting and engaging the community in the last week. Also, a similar thread for Mig-19 managed to get the ADF radio bug fixed in couple of weeks, after a year and half of it being neglected. So while I don't think the community unhappiness caused yesterday's bug fixes to be magically coded in the past week, I do think it spurred on active development for the module and probably got many of them put into the update queue. ... Or perhaps it's just a timely coincidence. However, whatever the reason, it's great to see yesterday's patch for the Harrier, and I welcome such progress enthusiastically.
  5. Ya, it's amazing what some torches and pitchforks can accomplish, which years of waiting patiently seemingly cannot.
  6. Good question. I think I paid $9.95 for the A-10C years ago on Steam. That combined with a price of $9.99 for this upgrade definitely feels like stealing from ED.
  7. I can't seem to reassign the Clickable Mouse Cockpit Mode switch to anything other than ALT-C for the RIO. It won't work with other keyboard bindings nor with controller buttons. That is, I am able to assign other keys/buttons in the controls page, but they don't do anything. The Pilot has no such problem. Sorry if this is a known bug, a search didn't reveal any previous mention to me. I like to assign it to a mouse button so it's easy to switch back and forth while mousing around the cockpit. My mouse button emulates a keyboard press. Cheers
  8. Yep, that's what I'm using too - version 7.0.53.
  9. I'll have to check tomorrow. Sorry, it's late this side of the pond.
  10. My X-65F mouse stick works without issue. It's not accurate enough for hitting buttons, but works well for panning view. I don't recall having to do anything special to have it work. Windows is picky about the driver and I have to manually select which driver to use every time it switches USB ports.
  11. I'll add that the community has already 'bent' a great deal by being patient for so long. We've paid for the module, waited years for it to develop, and put up with being practically ignored by the developer of late. The ball is firmly in the other court. This will set an important precedent for EA status of modules - not really a trivial thing.
  12. Strongly agree! I bought two RAZBAM modules solely because they have Baltic Dragon campaigns. However, even that will no longer be enough for me with regard to future modules, if the Harrier's development and bug squashing, communication with us, and outward attitude towards the customers doesn't improve sufficiently. Not trying to be petty, I'm simply saying these are the areas where RAZBAM hasn't met my expectations as a paying customer.
  13. 3 words Wonder Woman's Plane! Don't forget the 3d pilot + costume please. :pilotfly:
  14. I'm glad to have RAZBAM post in here and layout some of the upcoming plans. And, even more so, I like to see the AV-8B Ready for Release list. Thanks for that. However I would have liked Ron to have at least recognized the Harrier's lack of meaningful progress (however you want to paint it, the progress on the Harrier has been unacceptable, in my opinion), and the almost total lack of involvement by Razbam on this forum. I understand that there have been some loud, hard voices in here, but with regards to the module itself they have been mostly accurate. Besides, the quiet majority still paid for the module too and deserve some developer communication, not to mention a fully developed, working module. The users posting in the bugs forum are actually doing some the developer's work for them, so ignoring them seems particularly inappropriate. This post feels like another list of promises. The Harrier has suffered from very little talk, and even less walk - to put it crassly. I hope with ED's more active involvement this module will keep moving steadily forwards. There's so much good work gone into the Harrier and we all want it to be a stellar addition to DCS. Sometime soon, for preference.
  15. Agreed. Thanks to BIGNEWY and NineLine for taking this on, and doing what should be done by RAZBAM. It's not really a pleasant situation, but getting your feedback gives the sense that the Harrier won't be forgotten by ED. It's appreciated. Actually representing your product on the official forum may be time consuming, but other, smaller developers manage it here, and there are too many Razbam posts in the Mig-23, F-15E, Malvinas threads for me to buy in to that explanation too heavily.
  16. Haha, no worries mate. You should see how slowly I type - well actually too quickly but very inaccuratley. ←backspace inaccarutely ←backspace inacrately ←backspace ... inaccurately. Takes forever.
  17. I like the sound of an ED bug tracker. The important part will be having Razbam actually act on the identified bugs/broken bits. Incidentally, their own bug tracker seems to have been very recently gutted. I can't get anything to show up on two different browsers.
  18. Again a lack of direct communication from RAZBAM is very confusing. The product page says "Detailed Operational Manual and Pocket guide". Baltic Dragon has mentioned a number of times that he is working on a manual for the Harrier but needed the module to be feature complete and working before it was possible. (Sorry to bring BD into this.) Now RAZBAM says the manual is finished. The whole thing feels a little disingenuous, like they are just saying whatever to be done and dusted. I am very confused on the current state of this module and what to expect from it.
  19. Ya, I CTRL-Z all the time too. However you can miss out on dialog and other info when doing that sometimes. I figure auto start exists to reduce monotony and facilitate getting up into the air. So it seems a little silly to me for it to do the maximum number of startup steps, when many are just going through the motions without any in game significance.
  20. Indeed! I need to figure this out. Some modules, like the Harrier, really need to have their auto start procedures trimmed down.
  21. I would also like to get some feedback from the developer about the state of Harrier. Their community manager resigned. The last change log update on their own site is from March 2020. The developers frequently weigh in on not yet released modules and maps, but are almost totally absent from this particular forum. We bitched and complained about some problems with Mig-19 to the point where the CM finally spoke up. He resigned his position almost immediately afterwards, but at least he finally gave us some feedback ... and more importantly got an egregious bug on the Mig fixed. And while I'm happy that simple yet crippling bug is no more, it should been done away with months before, and without all the forum drama being necessary. RAZBAM has to take a lot of responsibility for the tone in this forum. If they are not going to develop the Harrier any more, please tell us. Throwing us a little update every 6 months, while completely ignoring (or at least not responding or acting upon) the feedback in these forums year after year should not be good enough. From what I have seen on this board, RAZBAM is alone in treating their customers this way. ED has been impressing me so much this year with their responsiveness and approach to feedback and customers' wishes in every forum for ALL their modules (Nineline and Bignewy, you guys have really stepped it up and been doing a fantastic job in my opinion). Heatblur has excellent communication on their forum as does Aviodev, and even Polychop has been much more engaging this year. Not so much in here. They may no longer have a CM, but that is no excuse. A modeller is totally capable of being active on these forums without taking away from coding time. I hope there will be some pressure to change this, since it reflects really badly on RAZBAM, and to some degree also on DCS. The Harrier is understandably a hugely popular aircraft and we all just want it done properly. If it continues this way, I would expect to see future RAZBAM projects sell poorly. And that helps none of us.
  22. Just got around to re-enabling this module and trying the ADF tuner. Works well with the mouse wheel now. Thank you for fixing this.
  23. Quick question for those that have Combined Arms. I know it tends to get less than favourable reviews, but does Liberation make it worth owning, come next sale?
  24. Insult everyone who has a different opinion and then try to pass it off as a 'dissenting opinion' and act as if it's perfectly normal public forum behaviour. Typical.
