  1. 3 words Wonder Woman's Plane! Don't forget the 3d pilot + costume please. :pilotfly:
  2. I'm glad to have RAZBAM post in here and layout some of the upcoming plans. And, even more so, I like to see the AV-8B Ready for Release list. Thanks for that. However I would have liked Ron to have at least recognized the Harrier's lack of meaningful progress (however you want to paint it, the progress on the Harrier has been unacceptable, in my opinion), and the almost total lack of involvement by Razbam on this forum. I understand that there have been some loud, hard voices in here, but with regards to the module itself they have been mostly accurate. Besides, the quiet majority still paid for the module too and deserve some developer communication, not to mention a fully developed, working module. The users posting in the bugs forum are actually doing some the developer's work for them, so ignoring them seems particularly inappropriate. This post feels like another list of promises. The Harrier has suffered from very little talk, and even less walk - to put it crassly. I hope with ED's more active involvement this module will keep moving steadily forwards. There's so much good work gone into the Harrier and we all want it to be a stellar addition to DCS. Sometime soon, for preference.
  3. Agreed. Thanks to BIGNEWY and NineLine for taking this on, and doing what should be done by RAZBAM. It's not really a pleasant situation, but getting your feedback gives the sense that the Harrier won't be forgotten by ED. It's appreciated. Actually representing your product on the official forum may be time consuming, but other, smaller developers manage it here, and there are too many Razbam posts in the Mig-23, F-15E, Malvinas threads for me to buy in to that explanation too heavily.
  4. Haha, no worries mate. You should see how slowly I type - well actually too quickly but very inaccuratley. ←backspace inaccarutely ←backspace inacrately ←backspace ... inaccurately. Takes forever.
  5. I like the sound of an ED bug tracker. The important part will be having Razbam actually act on the identified bugs/broken bits. Incidentally, their own bug tracker seems to have been very recently gutted. I can't get anything to show up on two different browsers.
  6. Again a lack of direct communication from RAZBAM is very confusing. The product page says "Detailed Operational Manual and Pocket guide". Baltic Dragon has mentioned a number of times that he is working on a manual for the Harrier but needed the module to be feature complete and working before it was possible. (Sorry to bring BD into this.) Now RAZBAM says the manual is finished. The whole thing feels a little disingenuous, like they are just saying whatever to be done and dusted. I am very confused on the current state of this module and what to expect from it.
  7. Ya, I CTRL-Z all the time too. However you can miss out on dialog and other info when doing that sometimes. I figure auto start exists to reduce monotony and facilitate getting up into the air. So it seems a little silly to me for it to do the maximum number of startup steps, when many are just going through the motions without any in game significance.
  8. Indeed! I need to figure this out. Some modules, like the Harrier, really need to have their auto start procedures trimmed down.
  9. I would also like to get some feedback from the developer about the state of Harrier. Their community manager resigned. The last change log update on their own site is from March 2020. The developers frequently weigh in on not yet released modules and maps, but are almost totally absent from this particular forum. We bitched and complained about some problems with Mig-19 to the point where the CM finally spoke up. He resigned his position almost immediately afterwards, but at least he finally gave us some feedback ... and more importantly got an egregious bug on the Mig fixed. And while I'm happy that simple yet crippling bug is no more, it should been done away with months before, and without all the forum drama being necessary. RAZBAM has to take a lot of responsibility for the tone in this forum. If they are not going to develop the Harrier any more, please tell us. Throwing us a little update every 6 months, while completely ignoring (or at least not responding or acting upon) the feedback in these forums year after year should not be good enough. From what I have seen on this board, RAZBAM is alone in treating their customers this way. ED has been impressing me so much this year with their responsiveness and approach to feedback and customers' wishes in every forum for ALL their modules (Nineline and Bignewy, you guys have really stepped it up and been doing a fantastic job in my opinion). Heatblur has excellent communication on their forum as does Aviodev, and even Polychop has been much more engaging this year. Not so much in here. They may no longer have a CM, but that is no excuse. A modeller is totally capable of being active on these forums without taking away from coding time. I hope there will be some pressure to change this, since it reflects really badly on RAZBAM, and to some degree also on DCS. The Harrier is understandably a hugely popular aircraft and we all just want it done properly. If it continues this way, I would expect to see future RAZBAM projects sell poorly. And that helps none of us.
  10. Just got around to re-enabling this module and trying the ADF tuner. Works well with the mouse wheel now. Thank you for fixing this.
  11. Quick question for those that have Combined Arms. I know it tends to get less than favourable reviews, but does Liberation make it worth owning, come next sale?
  12. Insult everyone who has a different opinion and then try to pass it off as a 'dissenting opinion' and act as if it's perfectly normal public forum behaviour. Typical.
  13. It's like bulls and a red flag. Or flies and manure. Repetitive, supercilious bull-flies.
  14. Agreed, thanks Decoy. I hope renewed interested will result in a fix. This is very close to being a great little module.
  15. A pleasure. I hope you get it sorted without difficulty.
  16. Ya, the "learn how to start it manually", "autostart should be removed from the game" replies to any thread which mentions autostart are the most useless, self indulgent, and derailing replies on this forum. Also, they are the most predictable, and should earn a warning in my opinion. Raven434th, I have autostart in my controls ["d309pnilunilcdnilvdnilvpnilvunil"] = { ["added"] = { [1] = { ["key"] = "Home", ["reformers"] = { [1] = "RWin", }, }, }, ["name"] = "Start Procedure", }, (I switched mine to Rwin+Home) It's under the Keyboard Macros section ... I think - not 100% sure about that section name. You can search your Keyboard.diff.lua in the Harrier controls directory within your saved games directory to see if there is an entry. Otherwise maybe you need to reset your controls for the Harrier? Also I thought the description of the Harrier Cold and Dark instant action was funny. And a little sad.
  17. Caucasus forest winter I think they look fantastic.
  18. I'm playing the campaign in the Viper at the moment, and I ended up adjusting the time forwards a bit to make things a little lighter. I simply had zero orientation in the total blackness. Very fun campaign!
  19. There are bugs with this module that have been around from release - some of which make it not worth spending limited simming time struggling against. In my opinion, Razbam doesn't do a good enough job communicating what has been a confirmed as recognized bug, what they intend to do about it, and when it might fixed. The community manager mostly posts "I'll pass it along to the coders", and then nothing more is heard about it for months and months and months. In other Razbam modules things get moved, without comment, to the resolved bugs area after nothing has changed. Patches have fixes for things I've never noticed, but the show stopping bugs linger on for a year and a half. Razbam doesn't communicate or interact with their users on this forum nearly as well as almost any other DCS developer, again in my opinion. Combine that with major bugs which have been there since release day and which have had no confirmation of being looked at, and it is easy to assume the module is not progressing. Honestly, for my own experience, all they have to do is fix the damn ADF knob. I don't VR, so I can't speak to that, but I can sympathize with similar frustration that others might be feeling because of it. I didn't expect much from the module when I bought it, but I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice plane it turned out to be. That is until I tried to actually employ it for more than joy riding. To have the only navigational tool be as dysfunctional as it is is frankly ridiculous. They have one of the best mission makers there is for DCS but he is hamstrung by the state of the aircrafts' systems. The campaign for the Harrier is finally supposed to be around the corner, but look how long it has taken - because the systems weren't to the point where the mission maker could finish crafting a campaign. I was looking forwards to flying the Mig campaign - the main reason I bought the module. But I refuse to spend most of my time with my head stuck under my right armpit twiddling a recalcitrant knob, as my plane slowly dives into a mountain side - it's just not fun. There seems to be plenty of communication from Razbam about models they have been making, ideas for future modules, and nascent maps. But the bugs section of their current modules for which they have already been paid is, on the part of the developer, deathly silent compared to every other developer here. That's why you get threads labelled like this one is.
  20. Really? How do you navigate? The ARK-5 frequency dial can't honestly be described as functional - especially in an aircraft with no autopilot/wing stabilizer.
  21. Awesome stuff. Huge thanks for these!
  22. This is becoming my impression as well. The Mig-19's ADF dial bug is much the same thing. And the developer silence on the forum regarding these issues speaks volumes. The pace of modelling vs coding at Razbam seems like it should be an unsustainable business model, at least as far as DCS is concerned. This is when the early access system really doesn't work. I'm done patronizing them, but yes, so many people are excited to have an unfinished F-15E, I guess it keeps going like this.
  23. Try manually replacing the MissionScripting.lua in DCS/Scripts with the one in Liberation/Resources/Scripts. Make a backup of the original.
  24. Seems pointless, but adding my voice to this request as well. The way I have dealt with this is: I hope that might change in the future since I have had zero enjoyment return on this purchase so far because of this one module breaking bug which has been ignored for far too long. It's honestly incredible.
