An addition to this subject: the ARC-210 (in my current stable DCS) does something, that contributes to the confusion with AM/FM: when programming the mission frequencies with the MFD/Comms/ARC-210 page, it automaticaly gives a frequency of 144.4 the FM tag and a frequency of 133.0 the AM. I don't know why. So I changed the FM to AM by the modulation-OSB on that page and everything was fine.

Was a Saitek X52 (later Logitech X52) user for more than one decade. The step to Virpil, especially to the WarBRD-D base was as huge as the one from 2D pancake to VR. It doesn't only make sim flying "easier", no, what it does is, it let's you "fly" your aircraft like it is meant to be. Because of 2 things: 1. The center position: My X52 has a center position that requires a small but recognisable force to get over it. So small changes around it feel... unrealistic. A real aircraft does not have that. That leads to the wrong style of hunting the 100% correct trim for the center position. With the Virpil base, there is no recognisable force needed. I actually had to put a 12mm book under the front stand of the base plate to prevent the stick from moving forward by its own weight. The benefit that comes with this is you fly the plane all the time and only trim when it feels uncomfortable. It feels great! 2. The curve of the force With the X52, after getting the stick out of the center, the required force is quite small and constant, so you don't feel the amount of deflection. With the Virpil base you feel it. It is not that you need very much force, no, the curve is such that you feel exactly where you are. After 3 days my flying style changed completely. Now I feel a difference between 8° and 10° of climb. Getting the nose up on take off now let's me observe and control the AOA indicator. Feels funny. Holding the nose up after touchdown is like: "what do you want, 10° or 12°? Here you go." And yes, it makes AAR much easier, and now I understand why real pilots say it is easier IRL. (DSC still lacks some physical feedback that would make it more realistic, but that's another story) So the new HOTAS changed my life. And I even find myself touching and moving it for some seconds when my PC is off. You see.. (It was expensive but it is worth every cent)

I love training missions in DCS. Coming back to a module after some time is best with those. Thank you @myHelljumper for your very much appreciated effort. I'm looking forward to sitting in the M2000C cockpit and learning all that new stuff.

yeah roger that. in the meantime I've learned a lot about radios while flying your wonderful TEW3 campaign, and so far, I've had zero issues with the radios since mission 3. I think if the wrong "FM" tag hit me later in the campaign, there wouldn't have been any worries with that. I'm not done with the missions yet and I'm excited to see what's next. thanks a lot @baltic_dragon for giving us such precious moments with DCS! Can't wait to check out your other campaigns.

Just a shot in the dark, but could you use Win+P before you shut down WMR portal software to select which screen should be active or mirrored?

When you have the black screen, are you still able to see the Win+P menu to choose your monitor(s) quick setup? edit: I have similar hardware, and I also turn the power for my G2 off and leave the USB cable plugged, but I shut down WMR portal and wait till it is realy off before I shut the power off. Have you tried this?

+1 love the campaign so far, but it would be very much appreciated to have the "FM/AM"s (correctly) in the briefings and kneeboards. (stable DCS user here) edit: is there a way to get e.g. 144.3 and 142.3 of Mission 3 with any other radio than ARC-210? I did not hear "Beholder" or "Hunter 1-1" at the briefed frequencies with the ARC-210. edit2: Tried again and finally heard Hunter 1-1 on 144.3 AM with the ARC 210.

I see. So I have misunderstood your question. Sorry

That"s for throttles with a hardware detent at idle. So you can go beyond idle (backwards to cut off) without losing a part of the range of the throttle lever(s).

Dual factor authentication for free trials?
Tom Kazansky replied to Beirut's topic in Forum and Site Issues
@Dangerzone pls stay with us here. Seems to me we need people who know about this kind of 2FA. I ask myself how authenticators can work on several devices or systems? Does the second authenticator need a code from the fist initially to start working? Or is it enough to log into the account with the first authenticator and establish the second from there? edit: just read about WinAuth, and it seems you can note the initial secret key and put it in as many WinAuth's as you want to. Can someone with knowledge confirm this? -

Yeah, I meant after the trial period. -

Is it possible to disable 2FA for an ED account (after you had enabled it of course)? If yes, is it possible to activate it for a free trial and deactivate it afterwards (edit: after the free trial period)? The least thing I have in mind is to help bad guys to harm ED but maybe this 2FA is not so helpful as one might think. -
Thank you. With this information and the fact that I haven't seen any placards / ID plates with Me 109, for me the real name still is Bf 109. With some confusion that those Swiss documents let arise. OP's statement that "the real name is Me 109" is not proven yet by the info here in this thread imho. Edit: And even with plaques that say "Me 109" it would mean there were two names. The real name would be neither one nor the other alone.

Well, there are a lot ID plates with "BF 109" to be found in the WWW, but this one shows that not all 109's had a "Bf" tag, and with the documents above one could say, that the Swiss might have had no doubt that they bought "Me 109"s. On the other hand I haven't found any ID plates that show "Me 109". Only Bf, BF or just 109.

Me neither, but I don't want to bother people who need it on their servers with this wish.
