    Yes, but that was a few years ago and things may have changed. I don't remember another one offering that since. But if a pre-order is offered, I will buy it within five minutes of finding out.

    Personally I’d be happy if ED decided to release it as a temporary third branch: Stable, Open Beta, and Open Beta (multicore).

    I see. Well, from the numbers of players I see on the server they seem to be striking a pretty good balance. I know it's my favorite server right now.

    Unfortunately, no. Razbam has apparently said they would not be modeling this. The preverbal "juice" would not be worth the squeeze because it would essentially require a different flight model.

    If that's the case, and I think it is for some, they may want to be careful what they wish for. If Razbam does a good job with the flight model at the edges of the flight envelope, the Eagle dogfighters might find their more "colorful" maneuvers are no longer possible.

    This is getting old. Server owners are free to pick and choose which version they want to run. If open beta is that bad, players should be asking the server owners why they run it. maybe that should be the new thread; asking server owners why they run open beta.

    First, that's not correct. There are servers that run stable. Second, so what? If someone believes Open Beta is now "unplayable" they should take it up with the server admins. But since the majority of servers are still running OB, how bad can it be for the majority of players?

    One of the keys to happiness is expectation management. Personally, I have what I’d consider fairly significant and relevant flying experience and I love DCS. Considering what one can do for the cost of the Hornet module, I don’t know what you expect for $80.
