  1. Thick8, have you managed to get that working? I was not able to "drag the window with me" to SteamVR... AMVI_Rider: Thats what I would need it for: uhhbQBYJGVk Google Chrome because I can do within the browser everything I need.
  2. Your project sounds very cool, but as I understand, you need a tablet to use it? Or is it possible to use a chrome browser tab?
  3. For both.
  4. It is not only a drop-down menu, you can also just write numbers in there for custom resolutions.
  5. Yes, Hornet has exactley the same problems. Seems to be DCS related.
  6. Just tested it quickly on the NTTR map and it seems to be fixed.
  7. Ok, so I may have found now a way which seems really quite doable for me. However, its still a lot of work and I would prefer some native, better solution. As Nealius suggested, I use now OpenVR to capture the VR stream on the right eye. Recording it with 1440p is near the native resolution of the HMD and is not a problem with only a 1080p monitor. While viewing the video with VLC I can make screenshots and crop them to 1080p. This gives quite good results as you can see from our yesterday training session attached. To say that I'm happy would be too much, but at least its a working solution. It feels quite better and more doable then Jabbers approach with a virtual monitor. Will try now to cut the recording and see how a whole video feels after de-shaking and cutting.
  8. A PD of 2.3 is not normal and I can't imagine that this would help anything, especially with an Rift. Are you sure that you have not meant 1.3? You will be just blocked with the resolution of the HMD. I use a O+ with SteamSS 150% and PD 1.0. This is perfectly fine and all the HMD can do. I can read (not guess) the speed gauge on the Tomcat without leaning forward. Perfectly sharp. I can read all labels in the Hornet without zooming. I can read nearly all labels in the Tomcat without zooming. I fly the ball from one mile. But, no matter what I do, i barely can read the warning lights on the harrier on ther lower right side (at your right knee, not the warning lights on the UFC). Of course, I'm not moving my initial seat position, moving the head down is blocked very soon and also VR Zoom does not help anything. Also the font on the MFDs are a real pain. So maybe a Reverb is that over the top headset which makes that possible, but I can remember that they have been already hard to read on the normal screen.
  9. I guess the actual DCS performance problems (and yes, they are there) will be more noticeable on VR then Screen, because VR is simple much more on the edge of playable fps.
  10. Tried that, but the window does not "go with me" to SteamVR :-/.
  11. Nunja, gerade bei der Hornet geht eh gut was weiter. (Finde ich)
  12. Anybody knows if it got fixed and just not mentioned in the changelog?
  13. Oh, I thought you were talking about the Kneeboard.
  15. That makes me ask what cockpits you find worse in VR? In my opinion: M2k and Mig21 are on the same "bad" level. F-5, A10 and Huhey are a little bit better. Tomcat, Viggen, FW190 are much better. Hornet is by far the best in readability in VR.
  16. IIRC, this needs to be that way because that can't be changed in the game.
  17. As the F10 map features from the Viggen and the Tomcat cannot be used in the actual OB, it would be really nice if they would release a new OB today.
  18. Any news about a fix? Or any info if it is even on the list for fixing in near future? As flying in sunset really looks amazing, it is disturbing so much that you always end in a pitch dark night where you can't see your hands.
  19. ED, any words on that long standing issue?
  20. No one else sees a problem in that disturbing issue?
  21. Before VR, I used to have Google Chrome opened on my second monitor to show the GAW GCI map, HOTAS bindings, Chucks guide or even tutorial videos. This is something I'm really missing in VR. So far, I have found some programs which could do that also in VR: OVR Drop: https://store.steampowered.com/app/586210/OVRdrop/ - 9,99€ Last reviews mainly negativ. Seems to not work everytime. From the reviews, it seems like it would work without controllers. (Just hotkeys and mouse) Daily VR: https://store.steampowered.com/app/793190/DailyVR/ - 10,79€, free Demo Last reviews seems to be good. No information found if it is possible to operate it without controllers. OVR Toolkit: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1068820/OVR_Toolkit/ - 9,99€ Last reviews seems to be good. It is not possible to operate it without controllers. Dev want to add it, but not a priority. So what are you useing? Any other good solution?
  22. Any info on that? I still hope we will not have to buy a carrier module, and then be forced to buy CA to control it. That would be very impudent.
  23. As you seem to know your answer, why are you even asking? Even if some people are useing the Viggen as Fighter, it was not designed for that. Turning to tight and you get compressor stalls. A2A Radar is only very basic and not that easy to use. No IFF. No Gun and no CM without pod. So if you search an A2A fighter, you ARE wrong on the Viggen. That does not say, that you can't use it for that at all. Buy the F-5 or Mig21 if you want a cold war fighter. Viggen is a strike aircraft. Fence in low and sneaky. Blast everything away in one pass. Fence out high and fast. Thats what it was designed for. Again: use it for other things if you like, but it was not designed for them. You can find that out on your own. Even if you not own the module, you can still use it in the Mission Editor. Station 1: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3) Station 2: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 3: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 5: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 6: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 7: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3) So you could have: 4 to 6 short range IR missiles and additional a gunpod and CM pod. Not sure if you can mix RB24 and RB74, never tried that.
  24. I also use the Odyssey+, warning lights are not really readable and also the letters on the MFD's are barely readable. The whole cockpit is, as the Mirage, far away from VR-optimized. For me, readability is much worse then vanilla Tomcat and miles away from Hornet. Hopefully, Razbam will improve that over time.
  25. I can second that. I also observed that the parked F-18 are dropping frames very noticeable. Not 100% sure if the F-14 also causes the same. It feels like, something was messed up in the last patches. PS: Has nothing to do with Wakes, I feel no ddifference if they are turned on or off.
