  1. 300ft? Yes, absolutely.
  2. I know that: even with Dispenser on - I don't have it always.
  3. F-18 has an inverted ground effect since... well, forever
  4. The interesting thing is: even with most up-to-date drivers on 2D, I only have the FPS drop SOMETIMES, not all the time. (both SP and MP - some MP nights are fine, some have a 20 - 50% drop and I didn't find the connecting factor, yet)
  5. From all I know: that's exactly how it works in the real Hornet. Send a customer complaint to McDonnell Douglas or Boeing, I guess.
  6. When you want to use Hi Drag Bombs you have to be that low.
  7. Exactly. Without HARM TOO page being SOI - no handoff.
  8. Already reported: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270480
  9. This goes basically for EVERYTHING razbam vs. Deka
  10. Your HARM display might have been SOI, but did you actually hand off the HARM? Because when you didn't, then of course it won't fire. Where a threat shows up on the RWR is dependent on your position in 3-dimensional space, too, and where your antennas pick up emitters. All in all: pretty easy and straightforward. Classic case of PEBCAK.
  11. You are doing something wrong. TGP reverting to snowplow after undesignating is correct. Refer to this and similar threads: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270712
  12. No, why would it? Also the FBW is pitch-channel only.
  13. It's basically a boresight view of the radar
  14. The ones in the front may or may not be Slats or LEF - leading edge flaps, which are two different things.
  15. The 20 series is affected, too, so no - this is not it.
  16. So, when working on some JTAC / FAC(a) training for my squad I was wondering: why don't we have smoke warheads for our Hydra 70s? Or am I missing something here?
  17. Well, TEF is "trailing edge flaps", which is what you deploy manually. That's a perfectly normal abbreviation .
  18. It doesn't work that way. Just like it doesn't work with the HMD like you think it would.
  19. Yes, I used the mini-joystick, no I can't share anymore because I have since then disposed of the X56 setup. It was a regular axis assignment without any special stuff, though.
  20. I have been using an X56 back when the Jeff was released and had no problem with this.
  21. I know that, but it is reasonably similar to existing LGBs that this is my take on why the concentrated on D/L, AGM-62 and now the SLAM, first.
  22. Last night, out of 8 pilots 3 crashed when landing in Kobuleti after a training session. All of them were VR users, unless I am mistaken. The rest of us landed w/o issue.
  23. Oh, of course, I had a slight mindbork! :)
  24. Switching from NAV to A/G or A/A mastermode should also switch into the SMS page, so that is working as intended. There is no HUD indication on what altitude you should be at at any given waypoint. You can find that in the DATA -> Waypoint submenu of HSI, but basically from what I know IRL you'd be briefed about that and have kneeboard info / ground controllers / air controllers working with you on what altitude you should be and all waypoints in the Nav system are at 0' AGL anyway. But don't quote me on that. The number you see above your altitude indicator in the Hud is your climb- / descentrate in FPM. ***EDIT I had FPS here, which is of course wrong. It's feet per minute***
  25. My take on this is: with addition of the SLAM, the Harpoon will also be fixed to working levels, and the whole Walleye - Harpoon - Datalink - SLAM cocktail will be ready to serve. We already *have* working LGBs and JDAMs, so the GBU-24 and -32 will be nice additions in the end, but less interesting right now. My 0.02$
