So you know the monthly sales revenue generated by the Razbam modules then? Other than the F15E, what other modules are affected, because last time I looked, all the other Razbam products were allegedly OUT of early access, in other words complete. Greed, for $80 a pop ? The monthly sales generated by ED to be classed as greedy, in my view, would have to surpass all their monthly overheads. And I highly doubt that's happening. You're aware that all business plans work on ROI's right? ED's business plan doesn't have to be to your liking, you're a consumer of their FREE base product, nobody forced you to buy other addons, you buy those through clever marketing and promotions. ED hasn't put a gun to your head, and yet you seem to want to put a gun to theirs?

LOL, I actually believe that's what some people here think.
-
and so is this demand!! And speak for yourself, I'm a paying customer too, but not an entitled one
-
I don't believe corporate meetings beween stakeholders/shareholders, in any company are released to the general public, and especially to disgruntled consumers. People should also remember that when you point a finger, there's 3 more pointing right back at you. I don't believe Razbam are trading on the stock market, so he wouldn't have stock, he maybe as one of their SME's be a stakeholder. These threads inevitably go the same way, with the same players involved.

Indeed, and contracts which none here are in the either companies legal teams. Does is make things better ? no it doesn't, but it has been epxlained that it's all a legal matter now, and that isn't likely to change anytime soon. As they stand, all Razbam modules ARE working, even the F15E A/A radar ( there's a working solution for those that wish to continue using it)..
-
The dispute is not about the module. The dispute is allegedly about the business practice and the alleged breach of contract between the 2 parties, If ED decide to remove the F15E along with all the other Razbam modules, they're in breach of contract, that product was delivered to ED from razbam, whether it's Early access or not. You know that there's several other Razbam products, so why single out the F15E? The same company also do the South Atlantic map, and that IS getting updated. You can continue to display your displeasure at their sales and marketing all you want, unless you're privy to the terms and conditions, then for ED it's business as usual until legally instructed otherwise. There's not much more to understand.
-
doesn't matter what feels ethical/morally, it's the fine print in the contract. Electric cars and mobile phones call for the mining of lithium, for their batteries, which have been proven to be mined by children according to amnesty international, but people still by them, is that ethically and morally the right thing to do?
-
It's called contractual obligations, and there would be specific terms and conditions attached to the sale of said module. Nobody has to like it, they just have to accept it, and in this case, the consumer doesn't have any rights. If you don't want to buy the module, then don't, it's as simple as that, and if others do, then that's their prerogative.

Scuttlebut on reddit is saying the radar dev activated the time limit on the part he was responsible for, ED were aware of the hows, and why's and with a fix. However legally it's not so simple, the dev said it was more directed at Razbams non payments to him, than ED's payments to Razbam.. "Oh what a tangled web we weave "

Have you tried/tested it ?
-
Excellent!! 100% with you on this

More to the point, did you meet up with Nineline at Vegas yesterday?
-
22 more pages of he said she said, and blame gaming.. and the divide continues.
-
Ah I guess you forgot how the community was pissed off and were blaming that the release of the Sinai map was pushed ahead of the F15E ? My point here Notso, is that the seeds of discontent were already sown by certain elements within Razbam towards Eagle Dynamics, and the current situation has exasperated this tenfold.
-
Did you bother reading ALL the comments? They're quite telling, there's a lot of similarities and players kicking off 1 year ago towards ED.. same voices being vocal today. As far as reputable, I seem to recall that Reddit was where this laatest cock fest kicked off.

You've been told repeatedly that everything is in the hands of each of the parties legal representatives, there's no more can be said about the situation, no matter how entitled you feel. The thread was created to keep people informed as to where things are, not to bitch and moan, like the previous thread, I doubt rhis one will reach 94 pages of drama/advice and opinions. As a customer, you have a right to complain if you feel a product is not to your satisfaction, it doesn't give you the right to advise them of their business strategies. 99% of customers don't care about what goes on internally within another company, or whether that persons staff has been paid, customers want the product they purchased nothing else matters. Comparing the Hawk situation to the RB situation is like comparing apples to oranges, completely different circumstances, the only similarity is that customers have the potential to lose out. The comparison to Boeing or any other company like Ford, Rover, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, is that if one of their products crashes and is destroyed, it very rarely stops sales and production, and their customers rarely terminate contracts just because of one incident. It was nothing to do with purchasing any of said items

Yeah, but you know this forum is fuull of weekend qualified lawyers, and they know better than anyone else's legal teams !

I wouldn't entirely blame ED for this, as in updating and development, as there's plenty of other 3rd party DEV's who have not maintained their modules to OUR expectations. (Gazelle anyone) The Consumer is also to blame, driving demands make roadmaps more difficult to maintain and achieve. Every man and his dog knows that after a significant core update, stuff gets broken, which infuriates the customer even more, and the dog starts chasing its tale again. ED could easily abondon future core updates, and concentrate on modules, and those various roadmaps, but the DCS customer wants the best for his machine, and pushes that rig to the max. 5 years ago you could run DCS VR on an Nvidea 1080, and those who had the top end rigs were happy as pigs in shyt as they got what they wanted.. the poor saps on 960's were left behind.. Now it's like you need at least a 4060 to run VR smoothly, and with the latest headsets there's more of a demand to push the core game to its capacity... customer demands and expectations... and again, the average DCS user with his 3060 struggling is getting left behind, are those on low end systems any less of a customer than someone who runs a Pimax Crystal on a 4090?? We all want the best for what our systems can handle, and that means there has to be a compromise that suits everyone. DCS updates have become less frequent, before with open beta, you'd maybe get 8-10 updates per annum, now it's perhaps going to be 4-6 updates, maybe a single core update annually would be a better option, leaving time for the development of other modules? Is this what customers would be happy with? The issue with a sim as complex as DCS, coders all work on different parts, it's a team effort, I would imagine the technical core coders wouldn't be dealing with flight dynamics of say the Mig 29.. So if the focus on mainting all modules simulaneously then it's going to be a slower process, unless there's an increase to the size of the team responsible, and that will all come down to ED's business plan, their projected ROI's and sticking to their various roadmaps.

Airing "dirty laundry" in public rarely goes well, no matter how frustrated one party becomes, as it rarely ends well for those doing the airing. The relationship between RB and ED IMHO has become untenable, it wasn't all cookies and cream to begin with especially with the F15E. The current narrative is that there's claims and counter claims of which are both serious enough that has damaged the reputations of both parties here, and the consumers trust has been seriously eroded, minds have already been made up, nothing will change. The fact that you're offering "advice" on legal matters of which you know nothing about, or the technical aspects of the T's and C's, simply compounds my point about the customer not always being right. How many Boeing aircraft both civil, and military have crashed, causing fatalities, and yet despite public mistrust, they continue to operate, and generate sales on the global market today? Nothing ED will say will appease the RB side of the house, and nothing RB will say will appease the ED side of the house. Less said, soonest mended.

ED don't need to explain anything other than what's happening in this current situation. It amazes me how many people here feel they're owed some sort of explanation into how a company they're not connected to conducts its business. "The customer is always right" is a fallacy, and often not the case at all. The very same people being vocal are without a doubt in the same category as those who scream at the same company for " take my money, release it already" and then when it's released, constantly whine about the product not matching their expectations. Most people seem forget that the release of the F15E was already a shyt show between RB and ED, with accusations and finger pointing back then, and tempers flaring, oddly enough the same players are involved in the current bun fight.

Thanks to @Admiral189 for the donation of the correct radar, the Type 42 is looking better. Beldin has done an excelent job of editing the luas. Bear in mind this model was never UV mapped, the textures are hit and miss, that being said, I like them ! Just a few minor cosmetic things to fix, and should be good for a release next month.

I don't think you can, unless you do it within the 3d software that it was made on.
