Seems to me, that there is a memory (vram) problem in dcs. As soon as it gets "full" with vrk running it starts to get stutterfest. It helps to restart vrk during flight (did a VA voice command). The task monitor shows some copy action of the GPU going on. My feeling is, there is DCS to blame for bad vram handling, but that is just a uneducated guess. I run a 3080ti with 12gb of vram.

The FLOLS is sadly calibrated for the Hornet, as I understand it. On the other hand, ACLS is off as well, as stated by HB, they are still fine tuning it.

You got the possibility to set2 TACAN channel, one in the back and one in the front. Let jester set one, set the second and than you just have to switch who is in command of the TACAN. In zone 5 you fly VFR, so you will just follow runway heading via compass.

I'm not using the mirage but it never felt off during the free trials I tried her. What I check in vr is the size of the stick. I compare this to my joystick and by that determine if the "scale" is OK. I only fly the F-14 and sometimes a Warbird. I got the vkb F-14 Grip and the KG-12. Peaking thrue my hmd I find that both are spot on with the default setting.

Nope the value in DCS is not the ipd but a rather bad name for a world scale adjustment. The ipd you have to set in your hmd, but the ipd in dcs enlarges or shrinks the whole dcs world.

Wir sind zwar kein deutsches Geschwader, wenn wir uns aber darauf einigen können das Deutschland ein integraler Teil Europas ist, sind wir schon mal auf einem guten Wege Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, wir suchen derzeit ein paar F-14B Piloten und vor allem auch RIOs. Wir haben gerade unseren ersten "echten und ausschließlichen" RIO in der Ausbildung (dazu gleich noch etwas mehr) und es fangen langsam alle Piloten, auch die welche vom Konzept eines weiteren Alpha-Männchens in IHRER F-14 bislang nicht viel hielten, sich darum zu schlagen, wer den RIO bekommt. Es macht die Fliegerei mit der F-14 halt noch einmal interessanter, wenn jemand hinten mitdenkt. Es werden, wie gesagt, nicht nur RIOs gesucht, auch Piloten werden gerne aufgenommen, nachdem unsere Reihen durch real live Umstände etwas gelichtet sind. Derzeit sind wir acht F-14 Piloten welche recht regelmäßig fliegen, dazu kommt noch eine volle Staffel Hornets, welche doch beschützt werden wollen. Wir fliegen PvE Mission im Rahmen einer Cruise. Derzeit sind wir zum Training in Nellis und gewöhnen uns initial an die, an die Realen angelehnten Prozeduren vor Ort. Des Weiteren wird das MQ (Mission Qualified) Programm für die letzten noch nicht qualifizierten Hornet Treiber und unseren RIO durchgezogen. Anschließend steht wohl CAS auf dem Programm, nicht großes für die Maulers (Hornet) aber die Tridents haben sich bislang eher mit iranischen Mig 29, F4, F-14 und F5 rumgeschlagen, gelegentliche Strike Mission nicht ausgenommen. Alleine für das CAS Training ist natürlich ein voll besetztes Cockpit schon von Vorteil..... Wir versuchen die real live Procedures der Navy so weit es geht, ohne in das lächerliche abzudriften, abzubilden und uns stetig zu verbessern. Ich für meinen Teil kann sagen, ich bin als ziemlicher Noob zu den VF-119 Tridents (F-14 Wing im vCW-66) gekommen und mittlerweile finde ich mich auch in komplexeren Situationen zurecht. Als etwas Lebens-älterer Mensch fällt es einem nicht immer leicht mit den Jungspunden mitzuhalten, mein ungefähr alters gleicher italienischer Lieblings-Flügelmann kann das sicherlich bestätigen, aber auch dem wird Rechnung getragen. Keiner wird in Rollen gezwungen. Ich bin mit meinem Status aus CMQ (Carrier Mission Qualified) Pilot zufrieden und lege keinen großen Elan an den Tag die zwei - drei Flightlead Qualifikationen zu erwerben, sondern gefalle mir in der Rolle des Wingman. Qualification, IQ , CQ, MQ sollte jetzt keinen abschrecken. Ich fand den IQ Teil am schwierigsten, welcher hauptsächlich das "korrekte und sichere" Fliegen beinhaltet. Dazu gehört auch der Funkverkehr. Generell kann man sagen, es ist ein 2-ship Flug, in dem man den Lead hat und das Element vom Start-up über Takeoff, dem Einhalten der ATC Prozeduren vor Ort (Flugkorridore / Höhen / Funk etc.) in ein Übungsgebiet führt, ein AAR durchführt, anschließend ein paar Tac Forms / Turns praktiziert und dann das Element wieder zurück zum Flugplatz bringt. Das hört sich jetzt gewaltig an, ist es als unbedarfter auch erstmals, aber da man an die Hand genommen wird und durch die einzelnen Steps geführt wird, ist es letztendlich keine große Angelegenheit. Als Voraussetzung, sollte man als RIO in der Lage sein den Vogel zu starten (inkl Alignment und Koordinateneingabe) und als Pilot, neben dem Start-up natürlich, ein AAR hinbekommen. Hier macht es erst einmal nichts, wenn man ein paar mal ansetzen muss, passiert auch den alten Hasen, wenn sie es länger nicht gemacht haben. Nach dem IQ kommt denn die CQ Phase in dem das korrekte Fliegen des Case I und anschließend des Case III geübt wird. Die MQ Phase ist dann anschließend aufgeteilt in A/G und A/A, also der Waffeneinsatz. Fun Fun Fun ... Für den RIO ist das Ausbildungsprogramm sehr ähnlich, nur das er einen Chauffeur gestellt bekommt. ....verwöhntes Volk Nach Abschluss der Ausbildung geht man dann mit dem Wing auf Cruise. Der Gerüchtelage nach wird es wohl demnächst in die Nähe der syrischen Küste gehen. TL,DnR wer Bock hat in geselliger Runde die F-14 zu bewegen, ebenso darauf besteht, dass das reale Leben immer Vorrang hat, der englischen Sprache halbwegs mächtig ist, den möchte ich einladen unseren CAG zu kontaktieren. I'm seeing it that way Lower one : best endurance band - I use it in holding Upper one : best range / climb. Can't get it any better but bet there is a experience guy around who can explain it in one sentence.

VoiceAttack and VAICOM Pro and the ARIO extension are payware, as well as the VoiceAttack Program is (You need VA for VAICOM to work). I can recommend the full package: https://www.vaicompro.com/get-license.html But be aware....another steep learning curve and not without bugs and the chance of frustration. But as soon as it works...priceless. Is like everything in DCS, you have to put in a lot of sweat and tears to make it work If you got all that, I can get you the extension, for sure. The profile provides a couple of nice to have commands. the hud basically doesn't load at all, maybe a few minor things, and lots of clipping in the RIO hud hmmm, there is no such thing as a RIO HUD. Most probably it is a loading error. Usually something like that happens if you spawn in the RIO Pit with the mission paused. The clipping you see is the RIO Helmet and oxygen Mask in front of your face (so your seating position is OK ) but actually I don't know how this can be happening in a training mission. Maybe you have to run a repair for missing files Happens right in the beginning of the RIO training mission, there is nothing to follow prior? You can actually click on the highlighted invisible buttons and activate them. So its got to be a loading issue. There are better guides out there on RIO so I'm not worried since the RIO cockpit shows up fine any other time. If you are talking for the RIO Cold Start Training Mission: You are supposed to sit in the front office, for as long as the two Tomcats are taking off and the instructor Dude starting to talk and telling you to get ground power and external air supply

That is custom made. I have an additional profile daisy chained (it is somewhere around here, something like Jester complementary) which I amended with the commands and some jester feedback from the hb sound files.
